Such an awesome farm for high quality meat and eggs and a great community feel. If you're lucky, you might be able to take a look around at the animals in the farm as well. We did and they definitely seemed happy! The farm is relatively huge (lots of animals) and while they sell at the Ithaca farmers market, they also have sell straight from the farm and the little room they sell has a beautiful upstairs room that would be perfect for small events. The meats and eggs are reasonably priced and the sausages for sale were very tasty. I highly recommend supporting your local farm when buying meat if you have the opportunity - you can be sure that the animals treated humanely in those instances! read more

We are blessed to have a regenerative farm like this nearby. We used to pick up at the Farm Store or hit their local drop points. Now we can get weekly deliveries straight to our doorstep on dry ice! This is best meat in NYS. Thank you for all that you do to nourish our community. read more

This is hands down the highest level attribute meat for the money in New York State. We have routinely bought whole animals and cuts from the farm. Between grass fed beef, the best Berkshire pork on the planet and incredible eggs, I'm going to be a lifelong customer. Great family as well. read more

I've gotten their eggs. While a blood blood spot when cracked is safe to eat, i don't like to buy their eggs if i have a choice. When I buy a dozen, sometimes 9 or more have the unpleasant blood spot. Typically comes from an unhealthy diet. read more

The folks at Autumn's Harvest are simply amazing. You'll see them at the Ithaca Farmer's Market, usually with a pretty unassuming stand - maybe a checkered tablecloth and a carton of eggs sitting out. Don't let that fool you though. Here are 5 things I love about Autumn's Harvest. 1. Their eggs are the biggest chicken eggs I've ever seen, hands down, no question, and they're only $3/dozen, I'm pretty sure. That's a dollar cheaper than much smaller eggs from other producers. 2. They have a good, informative website. As a serious disciple of the internet, I am often disappointed because some of my favorite farms don't have good websites (but it's understandable - they're busy creating delicious foods). Autumn's Harvest's site, by contrast, has a ton of information about their animals, how they're raised and treated, their prices, and the all-important contact information. By the way, it's not clear to me if their products are certified organic, but I don't care, because their animals are pasture-raised and well cared for, happy, and healthy from birth to slaughter. Read it and weep. I basically did. 3. They have pictures of their insanely adorable kids (presumably theirs... doesn't really matter!) on their flyers and websites. Need I say more? 4. Yes, I need to say more, because we're not at number five yet! Let me talk about their pork. Their bacon is ideal (Piggery could give them a run for their money, but not in terms of price), their ham actually tastes like meat, they're one of the only farms offering whole pigs for roasting (don't roll your eyes at me!) and their pork belly is an insanely low $4/lb - that really can't be beat. 5. Their customer service is impeccable. Not only do they return messages in an extremely timely and friendly fashion, but they also will go out of their way to deliver a produce for you. Case in point: one of the gentlemen once met me and my boyfriend in the Green Star parking lot at 9pm in order to drop off four pounds of said pork belly. Creepy? Maybe. In a good way? Probably. I just came from a visit to Sarah & Tim's farm in Romulus where I spent an afternoon touring their pastures and butchering shop. Every chicken, pig, cow and rabbit looked alert, well-fed and lively. Tim let me hold one of the chickens - it was surprisingly friendly. What first drew me to buying meat from them was a recommendation from the PIggery - I was looking to buy in bulk (50 lbs and more), which is not something the Piggery offers at this time. I started buying from Sarah regularly at the Ithaca market because the quality of their products is exceptional and her prices are the most competitive in their bracket (more than chicken at Tops - less than any other organic meat I've seen anywhere else). I continue buying all of my meat from Autumn's harvest because I've seen how Tim cares for his animals. They take a lot of pride in ethically raising and slaughtering the animals that they sell to their customers. The animals look great, live in a beautiful environment - not many chickens have a house right on Cayuga Lake - and receive good care. Not to mention Sarah & Tim are delightful people who always put their animals and customers' interests before their own. When I move away from Ithaca, I'm taking a side of beef, pork and a dozen chickens with me from Autumn's Harvest before I drive off. read more
