    Shawarma & Falafel #18
    Dorothy D.

Food: B+. Good authentic food. L-O-V-E the selections you can do with falafel. They gave us a whole bag of pitas! Service: C. Nothing special. It was during the lunch rush so not a lot of time to mingle with workers. Ambiance: D. Cluttered, tables were dirty. Not inviting; we weren't planning on staying, it was to-go order, but it wasn't too bad that we didn't stay because that's what we did is we ate here. Dietitian Dorothy Tip: Ask if they can swap the place where the rice is to put the salad and vice versa. I'm doing that ne3xt time.

Small pieces. Wow higher prices less meat

Just left av kabob wow what a change first the price went up . Which is normal but the pieces of the chicken and beef were so tiny. I feel they cut the chicken and beef in half since the good old days. . Wow been going there for many years. This was my last time.

This place makes the best Mediterranean food in the Av hands down the mix plate is Soo Soo Soo good chicken, steak, lamb crafta. (mix Plate) and the rice is fire fire fire. I'm not a salad guy but their salad is so good I always ask for a bit more Good service good people they are very attentive to wat u want and make sure ur order is good. Place is always clean it's a sit down place if u want or take out. They are also connected to a little market place.

    Crappy combo salad

it's good when the chicken is cooked all the way and the taziki isn't rotten and the rice is served after it's ready and not before. it's hit and miss. sometimes it's good... sometimes it's'a no good. please check your food before you get home because more than a few times i didn't notice all of the above until it was too late

The food is always amazing. I got the combo kabob beef and chicken, both meats were tender and the rice was fluffy. Great job!

Yesterday around 3pm, as I was in the area, saw this Falafel Palace and decided to pull into their big parking lot which is shared with other businesses. Their restrooms were also very clean. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly employee. He was pleasant and gave me a rundown of their menu. They have a vast menu from bowls, to plates, to pita wraps, salads, many different types of sauces, vegan and gluten free options too. Just to name a few. Desserts, such as Baklava and variety of cookies. I did end up getting one Baklava and it was moist, fresh and delicious. Prices are super affordable for their portions. 10/10! I went with beef and chicken skewers, and asked them to put my hummus on the side and not to overcook the meat. I like my beef to be medium-rare to medium. Chicken skewer also had a lot of flavors to it. There were very well prepared and seasoned to perfection. I also got their Greek salad with lots of healthy vegetables. Stayed with water. They have many different types of juices: bottled, & fountain drinks. They even checked on me once, considering the fact that you place your order at the counter, and they will bring out your food to you. Food was very delicious & fresh, along with service and the ambiance in their outdoor seating and inside was SPOTLESS CLEAN with some great music playing overhead. Thank you Falafel Palace, management and employees. Always stay true to yourself and consistency is the number one key. If and when I am in the area again, I will definitely stop by!

So I ordered 3 Gyro meals. Lamb, chicken, and beef with the combo meal fries and drink. For the 3 sandwiches with each of them having a side of small fries and small drink I paid $71.29 for the entire order which is crazy in itself but the real crime was the food here, I am surprised how this place is been running business this whole time. First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. Trader Joes also has a box of gyro meat you can buy make at home and I did once and it was WAYYYY better then this place lol. This place gets 0 stars for charging customers $20+ for a freaking combo meal that doesn't even include a garlic sauce.

By the time my friend and I wanted to order, they seemed like they ran out of pita, so they had to make fresh pita. Luckily it wasn't too long! I asked for everything on it and you can technically add more to it aside from "the everything" they mentioned. We ate inside, which the right side of the joint is where you order and you can dine inside on the left side of the place. They actually have quite a nice dining area! The seating is also very nice and cozy. Sitting down with our pita bread, it was pretty nice! Everything tasted so fresh and the pita was so soft (especially cause it just came out). Falafel was nice and crispy. It was really good. Although, I wish all the hummus was all on the bottom and which it was spread out more nicely. Maybe i'll get more next time. I was extremely full by the time I ate 3/4 of it. I didn't want to save it cause I was afraid the pita might get soggy, so I forced myself to finish it and became extremeelyyyy full haha. Still very delicious!

They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well.

Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.)
