Great tasting food, esp. the Zaatar fries! And the price is very reasonable, I get a substantial meal for around $20 but I often spend less

My coworker recommended this place and we decided to come give it a try as a group. At first, I was surprised how small the place was, but when you enter, you order at a touchpad near the entrance and then wait for your order to be called inside. They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well. read more

So, I have a new rating system......I will write what I feel honestly about an establishment from here on out. The only ratings I will give are 5 stars, which is enjoyable, or 3 stars which is needs work. I went to UCLA, and I believe this is the old Jose Bernstein's address. I went there in the hundreds of times. I like this place, and appreciate that they keep their prices so low. I think the falafel bowl I had was $6 or something ludicrous like that. It was good, not great. I also had the veggie shawarma. I won't get that again. It was mushy, and when I go for that dish, I'm not trying to be healthy. I guess if I were vegan for principled reasons, I might appreciate that more....... It was one and done for me. Shout out to the workers there. It was Ce and Michelle. Easy to order a couple of falafel sandwiches to take to the Getty Center. Seating here is very limited as is the parking in Westwood. The sandwiches were good. Falafel in a pita with lettuce, pickled red cabbage, pali salad, mazbout and red sauce. The falafel was a bit dry and bland, but sauce bar to the rescue! Loved their sauce bar. Grabbed small containers of all of their sauces which we needed to spice up our sandwiches while I waited for our to go order. The garlic was smooth with a hint of lemon. The white is a creamy mayo. The mazbout is a classic tahini. The red and habibi pack a bit of head. The invisible is not so invisible with the jalapeños! Definitely needed the sauces for the falafel in a pita sandwiches. Falafel is always a hard one for me to review as my mother-in-law's was award winning. Falafel Inc was good, but not great. We had tried this place before but since we were going to a movie we decided to get a quick bite. Ordered the pita sandwich with hummus which was freshly made. The server, cook Zee was so friendly and courteous that she made the food taste better. A plus to this place for having such a fantastic employee. The sandwich was tasty and the price was reasonable. Simple, easy falafel place in the heart of Westwood. You can order via tablet upfront. Prices (as with everything) have increased over time but still are very affordable for a light to medium bite. There are 6 quarter sized balls of falafel that make a great light bite for $3 and a falafel sandwhich (1/2 pita) with hummus for $6. They offer different sauces, they couldn't exactly explain them to me and was pointless to choose with your order because you have to fill it yourself anyways on pick up. Habibi sauce for the win. I ordered from here yesterday from and it was so salty I couldn't eat 3/4 of what sent to me. I ordered the Vegan Shawarma sandwich which after a few bites I threw out. The Zaatar fries which was so saturated in salt and seasoning it was nasty. Had to throw that out too. The hummus, is so packed with salt or whatever seasoning I can't eat that. Today I am trying out the Plant Rice Bowl which was a bit better since I could use the rice to calm down the salt and seasoning. The sandwich and bowl is relentlessly packed with red cabbage as a filler it seems which is not good. Overall big thumbs down. Fantastic price, clean, fast, friendly, street parking is metered until 8pm or 10pm everyday they do have patio tables and chairs outside but inside there are no tables just seating The chicken and rice bowl is $11 i believe so it's fairly affordable for the price and you can pick your own sauces. This is mostly a grab and go stop but there are a few countertops inside if you'd like to eat in (and if there's room). I ordered the falafel sandwich and the falafel pak, both were delicious, with a crunch in every bite and flavorful throughout. Ordering was a breeze and it took no more than 5 minutes for my order. This is extremely accessible for students in the area who want quality food and want to spend money carefully! They have all of their sauces on the counter for you to use without charge!!
