Next, Unify connected my Yamaha receiver to my second home's upstairs loft. Again, they ran the speaker wire through the walls and ran power and HDMI cables through my cabinets. I also purchased a second sub and receiver from Unify for my living room and had the tech connect my ARC, two subwoofer, game room, and outdoor speakers. These guys are true masters of their art! The panels have been sitting on our roof doing absolutely nothing while we continue paying full electric bills every month. Eight months of delays, no clear answers, and no firm activation date. Communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional. We've had to chase them for updates, and we still don't have resolution. To make matters worse, their installation caused a roof leak, which we only discovered when it rained. Now, instead of saving money with solar, we're dealing with potential water damage to our home because of their workmanship. At this point, we are filing formal complaints with the: * California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) * Better Business Bureau (BBB) * California Attorney General's Office If this situation is not resolved immediately -- including system activation and proper repair of the roof damage -- we are prepared to pursue legal action for breach of contract and property damage. Homeowners deserve transparency, accountability, and competent workmanship. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with My Smart House.
