The worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Total run-around when I tried to inquire about why my same-day delivery wasn't going to be delivered same day. Impossible to call into customer "service". Charged a $10 delivery fee and a $24+ "service" fee on a $50 order. Put me on hold for 10 minutes (one of the 5 times I had to call them) then looped me into a customer satisfaction survey, and then disconnected me when I completed it. Stay far far away from these scammers and false advertisers. They claim to be a family owned, local business. Please don't let them SCAM you like me! What I ordered from Ava's Flowers was the advertised "Pastel Grace & Wonder" floral bouquet in a tall vase, which I also ordered with 3 Mylar "Get Well" balloons ($6.99 per balloon) for a total of $118.95 -- that includes a surprise Service Fee of $24.95 (which is not listed in PRIOR-DISCLOSURE until you hit ENTER and FINALIZED the order!). Ava's Flowers even had a so-called coupon promotion for "FREE DELIVERY," which they later explained the $24.95 was for "handling of the flowers" -- so you are FRAUDULENTLY DECEIVED, because you're still actually PAYING for delivery and paying them for the short-changed bouquet (see attached pictures). First, they said they would "call the recipient to apologize," which we explicitly did NOT want to risk upsetting my recovering relative! Ava's rep offered an INSULTING $10 total refund, when the 2 missing Mylar balloons were charged at $6.95 each? plus tax. We ended up also asking for a refund of the unlisted $24.95 "handling fee," which had no prior warning to either accept or decline -- which we would have DECLINED the entire order as being DECEPTIVE and EXORBITANT! I suspect other florists do things like this, but it should NEVER BE CONDONED as anything remotely pawned off as an "ethical, standard business practice!" I wish I would have looked this company up on Yelp before I ordered!! This is Ava's Flowers. When you search local florists for the area that you want flowers to be delivered, this comes up as if it's a local place. It is NOT. This is a nation wide company who obviously don't care about their customers. I called customer service after flowers were said to be delivered and they were not. I was told that they were not able to contact the florist or get further delivery information. I told the customer service rep that I would not be using their company again and she didn't seem surprised. DO NOT USE this company. Update: Flowers arrived hours several hours later. Very disappointed in the bouquet. I intentionally ordered the Luxury Grande so it would be a nice full arrangement. I'm posting pics of what I ordered vs what I got. Do not purchase anything from here. First they slipped in a $25 fee on last page before I submitted the order. Then they said they delivered the flowers, never happened. After many phone calls. They sent the order and it was not at all what it was supposed to be. I ordered a balloon didn't show up, I paid $5 for a card. The note was written on an invoice. I asked for a refund and I was denied. Since there is nothing the company will do to satisfy their customers I'm filing for a complaint for the better business bureau and hope for the best. They are a scam! I ordered a bouquet at 10:30 am for my friend that lives in St. Charles. It was saying on their website that it would be same day delivery and they would get it before 7:00 pm. Around 6:30 pm they send me a text saying that it was delivered when it wasn't! I called them the next day and they said there was an "error" with the their platform and that's why it was saying it was delivered. I asked them if I could cancel the order since my friend's anniversary was the day before and they didn't deliver on the same day, like it was promised. They said the bouquet was already made and out for delivery. I asked them for at least a compensation for their mistake and the guy only gave me $10 back for the price of the delivery. Keep in mind that I spent $106 on the bouquet and a balloon. To make this even better, my friend got something totally different from what I ordered. The size measurements was specifically saying that it would be the same bouquet from the picture. I will post what I ordered and what my friend received. On the phone with the bank right now reporting the fraud you caused to my elderly Mother. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau next on you. Then the Arlington Heights Police Department: Fraud Division 847-368-5330. Flowers never were delivered at all, at least not to the correct address. This place is not a Florist but a shell business for very bad behavior of some kind. The bank just confirmed that they never refunded the money back into the account. This fake florist claimed that they did. They did not. I'm confirming this with the bank right now as I type. They even sent a fake text to my Mother saying the money was credited back into the account. It was not. The bank told me this is not new for this place and that they have a long, long record with the bank and that the bank has been forcing refunds from this florist back to the customers on many, many occasions. I recommend that you do not buy anything from this "Floret". It doesn't act like a real floral business at all. "Floret"? Did they even change their name slightly just to hide from a Google search about other, more terrible reviews...? Shame on this business forever. Please never order from Ava's flowers. I ordered flowers and a balloon and candy for my sister who turned 82 in a retirement home assisted living in an assisted living place. She never got the candy or the balloon she got the flowers, however, but it called me and said she never got the balloon or anything else when I asked her if she liked him she also said that she checked with downstairs and they never received them either. I would never order from them again. I called up twice to try to get it resolved twice it didn't happen. Trust all of those other 1-star reviews saying this is a scam. They are not a flower shop, but rather a distributor who cannot meet their promised order type or delivery dates. I paid extra to have a Sunday delivery of flowers for my mom's birthday, but on that Sunday, they sent an email noting the flowers were not available. When I called immediately to ask for support, the first thing they offered was a $2 refund on a $97 order, and that they would be delivered Monday. I was on the phone for 40 minutes before finally getting a supervisor, who offered to call my mom with an apology!? After a frustrating conversation, I was able to convince them to give me $25 off and a Monday delivery - terrible customer service experience! Then, on Monday, another email that the flowers aren't available. Same story with customer service - an offer to deliver another day late with minimal discount or an apology phone call to my mom. Decided to cancel and order from a real local shop rather than pay them anything for their terrible service.
