The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a private indoor dining room for larger groups. I'm not sure whether there's an additional fee to reserve the private room. There is plenty of seating overall, but this place is consistently busy, especially during weekend brunch. Given Houston's often extreme weather, I definitely prefer sitting indoors when possible. I almost always order the sausage and eggs over a bed of sweet potato tater tots. They are absolutely delicious! Not many restaurants serve sweet potato tater tots, so whenever I'm craving them, this is one of my go-to spots. Because of my food allergies, I asked for a side of maple syrup instead of their house sauces, and it paired surprisingly well with the tots. While their gluten free and dairy free options are somewhat limited, I was able to modify my meal by omitting the cheese. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, but the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed by how busy the restaurant was. As a result, service wasn't particularly attentive. If you visit during peak brunch hours, I would recommend coming with the expectation that the food is the highlight, while the service may be a bit slower due to the crowds.

Don't buy cigars at this location. I go to this particular Specs because it is close and…read moreconvenient. My issue is with their cigar humidor selections and inventory maintenance. I buy cigars about every other week. I began noticing at check out that the register price and the box price were sometimes different. Sometime as much as $5-$8 difference per cigar. Normally would just ignore it and go about my day. But I started noticing it every time I purchased cigars. I started spot checking and found that on average 6-8 out of 10 sku numbers on the cigar did not match the sku number on the price label on the box. And it is always higher. I figure I have overpaid hundreds of dollars for my cigar purchases at this location. I brought this to the attention of the person that manages the humidor and to the manager. But nothing seems to improve. Its always the same person managing and marking the cigar humidor. They should find someone else to take care of this. I want to get in and out and not have to check every sku to make sure it is priced correctly. Its hard enough reading those small numbers. I have warned my cigar smoking friends and they confirmed my findings. Now we will drive the extra distance to a competitor to make sure we are not getting cheated and overpaying. Buyer beware at this location.

A bit disappointed that Spec's does NOT price match as I also bought some bourbon which was a but more expensive here then at the other liquor store as I was paying with CC Not cash. This place had several employees willing to help me and advice me on different wines, etc so I found that helpful. Overall I felt this was an okay visit but this place really needs more lighting and should consider matching prices.
