Cilies lack professionalism. This is not the place to be if you want to order a customized cake and you have your own ideas. I've had the worst customer service experience here. The owner, Naushad is too restricted to use his own ideas. He doesn't welcome customer's ideas AT ALL. I've worked with many other cake shops, ordered many customized cakes but never encountered an owner who is not open to work with their customers. First, I told him I'm not much concerned about how the cake looks. All I need is a tasty cake with very balanced sugar on it. The owner said this exactly, "Don't worry about the diet. Everyone can eat some sugar to celebrate birthday." I was flexible to welcome his suggestion and I said "Ok, lets do that then." Although, I was taken aback to hear that. He asked me the party theme, told him its Spidey and his amazing friends. He immediately started looking for Spidey toys on Amazon for toppers. As Amazon did not have Spidey toys during that time, he was showing me the Superhero toys. I told him I already have Spiderman toppers at home that we can use then, as that would be closer to the theme compared to Superheroes. He, who was unfamiliar with Spidey n his amazing friends, now tells me that Superheroes are closer to the character than just Spiderman. He was so adamant with his own notion. I hated the way he spoke and not welcoming his customers inputs at all. I told him I dont like the vibes so I left and didnot order. There's plenty of options in the area. I found one Amazing cake shop with Amazing customer service. And guess what they actually found Spidey n his... toys too! They made it the way I wanted it. Very balanced on sweet and looking gorgeous with the theme. Everyone in the party loved eating it and appreciated the look. That's how you do business, Cilies. Not to mention shop is not good at cleanliness too. read more

Yes, you read right, mouth watering nihari rolls. The tender shredded beef, wrapped up in a warm tortilla, which a smug of sauce... man I want some now. Yes it sounds like something you can make at home, but it's not. Trust me. It's not. Now let's talk sweets. Whatever sweet time you can get from there, is perfect! Their marble cake, and their fruit cakes are my personal favorites. Their fruit cake is moist to the max with the perfect amount of fruit. Customer service is excellent here too! I ordered a cake here for my grandma's birthday. The guy who took the order was very patient, and he seems passionate as a cake decorator/designer. There was a lady in line before me that just kept asking questions, and he patiently answered her questions and also gave his suggestions. When it came to my turn, I kind of knew what I wanted but I also had quite a few questions, and he also answered them all, without being annoyed. His customer service on this aspect is superb. I ended ordering a heart shape cake that has rose designs all over and flowers on the top side. He said I should be pleased when I see it, and he will make it very elegant and nice. When I picked up the cake, I did indeed think it was pretty but it had some white flowers, and I did mention before that I didn't want anything white. I told the guy, and he was able to fix it and make it a different color in a jiffy. I kind of did wish it had more flower decorations for the price, but it was pretty the way it was, so it's fine. My grandma ended up loving the cake, and kept saying it looked pretty. The cake itself was soft mostly, but in a few small areas, the cake texture was a bit rough. It wasn't terribly rough, but it wasn't as soft as other areas, which I felt for the price of this cake, the taste should be perfect too. I had also requested strawberries inside the cake, but there weren't any. I would definitely re-order again though even though there were some imperfections. Another plus is the later hours that it stays open which makes it easier for people to pickup the cake. read more

The outside of the cake was really beautiful however when I cut into it there was several layers w thick white frosting and barely any cake to enjoy. The cake itself tasted really stale, maybe been sitting there for 3 or 4 days. It was dry an the ingredients were cheap. I bought a fruit cake and slices of pineapple cake. The fruit cake was over 45 dollars!!! it had canned fruit that tasted like garbage. I thought for the price, they would at least use tasty fruits! The beauty of this place is they have a limited menu but the variety within that is so amazing. The cakes are always fresh, you can feel the soft cloudy texture of the cream in the cakes and pastries. The tropical Paradise, Ferrero Rocher and the Pineapple cake is a worth mention. I gave this random bakery a try and I'm glad I did! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAKERY! The owner was super friendly and accommodating. Communication was easy and he made the cake exactly like I wanted it. I got the coffee cream cake w added chocolate bits for extra texture and it was amazing! I would recommend Cillie's if one wanted to pay a very reasonable price for a semi-custom tiered cake. The bakery shop doesn't make shaped-out cakes like a designer handbag, a sports car, etc., but it DOES make very pretty tiered cakes like the one custom made for my baby daughter's 100th day celebration! The owner, Naushad, is very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Naushad!! I was happy with the cake (see picture) that was so adorable and delicious; I had the fruit flavor for the bottom tier, and coffee flavor on top. Both flavors were just good and not too sweet. Very likely I would go back to custom-make another cake for my daughter's 1st birthday! It was my first time planning a party so I researched vigorously and noticed that Cillie's Cakes had really good reviews, both on Yelp and Google reviews. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to make the cake as it was only three days before the party and their website says "appointments needed for a custom cake". I called ahead to ask and the nice man on the phone encouraged me to come in to discuss the cake. The bakery is located in a very small & seemingly ordinary shopping plaza that looks a little run down. The bakery itself is very small and simple; there is a small table on the side and a glass display for cakes, cake slices, and sandwiches in the center. Nashaud (the owner) was so nice and helpful; he helped me pick and design a cake that accommodated my party's budget and theme. I chose the tropical fruit cake and it was delicious! Everyone at the party loved it and they especially liked the light frosting. If you want a one of a kind cake with delicious flavors, this is your go-to bakery. The cake I ordered was $55, which I'm not sure if that is expensive or not considering the decor I asked for, but it was beautiful & delicious. I'm also very thankful that they were able to make it in such a short time period. I would definitely come back to get a slice of the Tropical Fruit. read more
