Sugar Land has a hidden gem in its backyard! Loved our HRW experience here, and it also was my friend's birthday. We were only able to reserve a table outside, and despite it being humid, the patio wasn't terrible at all! Whitney was the best server for our table. Food was such a surprising hit, and everyone loved each course of their HRW meals. Would love to return for future happy hours or special occasions!

It's always such a great experience when we frequent vino & vinyl. The food is fantastic, the owners and staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The live DJ chooses the best music which creates the perfect vibe. The prices are fair for entrees , appetizers and drinks . My husband and are part of the wine club which offers four bottles a month w/ an event to sample wines & food. We have always enjoyed ourselves with every visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant whether you're looking for a quick bite , drinks or a full out dinner date.

My favorite place to go to with my bf! Top choice for a casual yet intimate date night. The music, the environment, wine, and food really ties in creating a special night.

Visited Vino & Vinyl in Sugarland on a Friday night with my relatives! This was my first time visiting and immediately I was a fan because there was a DJ playing vinyl. Towards closing, the DJ played a Houston mix and I was sold! We had wine and appetizers. I had a Sauvignon Blanc and truffle fries. Both were delicious! I'm usually not on this side of town often but I'd definitely come back to this location especially if that same DJ is there.

This is a great spot to have dinner and spend an evening in Sugarland. Food is consistently good. Service is on point. The ambiance with outdoor seating and DJ spinning records is amazing.

It's Houston Restaurant Weeks and we decided to give V&V a try because their menu looked incredible! We made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away. We had an excellent waiter who was helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered a S Africa flight of wine. I enjoyed all four tastes that included two red and two white. I ordered from the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. I had the whipped feta to start, lamb chops got my entree, and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. We also ordered the bread board. We enjoyed the music being played by the DJ. It was a solid mix of 80s and 90s. My husband ordered the chicken empanadas for his appetizer. They were delicious. Unfortunately, he had to send them back twice because they were cold on the inside. The poor waiter was apologetic and said he felt terrible about that because they are one of his favorite things on the menu. My husband ordered a pork chop and it was overcooked. His dessert was delicious. He ordered the bananas Foster's bread pudding. Yum! Overall, the food and wine was pretty good. We would definitely go back and try other things in the future.

What a cute spot! Great wines and craft beer list, tasty food, awesome staff, and a pretty good happy hour. Let's start with the beverages since this place has vino in the name. The wines and beers are from smaller craft producers. I recognize a handful of them and will happily drink something from them any day. The HH wines are a fantastic deal and they're not stingy with the pours here. I was unfortunately the driver on this visit, but I'll make sure to get a DD next time! Foodwise, we got a smorgasbord of food for 4 not very hungry people to nosh. - HH Baja shrimp tacos - really good! Would totally get this again - HH brussel sprouts - good way to get your veggies in. I would prefer them a little crispier but that's a personal preference - Octopus skillet - perfectly cooked octopus, tender but not mushy. The lemon butter sauce is divine and the veggies a nice contrast to the octopus. Loved this one! - Lamb chops - perfectly cooked tender lamb chops, no complaints here but I'd be interested in trying some other things on the menu before coming back to this one - BBQ Brisket flatbread - really tasty on its own but didn't really go with the theme of everything else we ordered. I liked the subtle kick from the jalapeños. My one nit is that I wish they went lighter on the bbq sauce. Overall, a great experience and I can't wait to come back with a DD.

This place is a vibe! Atmosphere is romantic. Hubby and I stopped by for an after dinner drink and to enjoy the music on Friday night. I loved the old school jams on the vinyl player. The weather was nice so we sat on the patio, sipped on some Riesling and enjoyed the music. They have a wide variety of wines and a food menu as well. Next time I'll come and try the food.

Been here before for some drinks and good music, but this time we got food. Wow, so underrated. I never knew they had such good food. Definitely recommend them for drinks, music and FOOD too.

Mahi mahi Rockefeller and pecorino crusted chicken

We loved this spot! The atmosphere is hip, with a live dj and great food. I had the mahi mahi Rockefeller with broccolini and Gouda mashed potatoes. Awesome! My friend had pecorino crusted chicken with green beans and new potatoes. Also very good. We would definitely return.

    Chicken Scampi

Service was excellent (Jenny). The cheeseburger was large & tasty. Chicken Scampi was over cooked but the lemon sauce over the artichokes was delicious. Risotto slightly under done. Very disappointed in the non-alcoholic Newblood wine. Advertised as a Shiraz but actually a dealcholized red blend and grape juice. Way more sweet than a Shiraz. They did not charge us for the bottle after we expressed our disappointment- so excellent service. Will try again after Dry January.

Ask the Community - Vino & Vinyl

Wine down Wednesday or daily happy hour specials?

Vino and Vinyl has great happy hour specials Tueday all day and Wednesday-Friday before 5:00 I think.

Do you also offer tea and soft drinks?

Yes, we have unsweetened iced tea, coffee, Mexican coke/fanta/sprite and Coke Zero.

    Is this restaurant kid friendly?

It depends on the kid. It's kind of dark inside so that nay not be great for kids. It is a super chill spot that obviously promotes wine, so wine glasses are all over the tables and the restaurant is small. Not a place for rambunctious kids who need…

    Do they only serve wine?

No, we have a great craft beer list as well! The hidden gem is our chef and small culinary team. Awesome food!

I quickly searched on Google and found several options. Messina Hof grabbed my attention. First, it's out in the country, not in the busy Houston region. Second, it has food to pair with wine. Third, I love driving to Richmond Texas. I thought this city has a lot of charms. So, I made a reservation online. While that was not a requirement, but I would like to be reminded. We arrived at the restaurant late because I under estimated the traffic from Southwest Houston. My reservation was moved with my request, nice. The parking lot is huge and wheelchair accessible spots are on both sides of the entrance. We were one of 2 parties at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The wait staff was very cordial. She introduced us the wine tasting menu: White Wine, Red Wine, Mixed Wines, Premium, Library and Sweet Wines. My friend likes to try their sweet collection, $28. I don't drink. So, I just looked at him enjoying the wines. It started with something weak to something strong like a Port and ended with something delicious that he really liked. Each pour is 3 oz, except 1 oz of port due to high alcohol content. We bought a bottle of Orange Muscat Mistella, $25. I don't think we can find this elsewhere for this price. For people like me who don't drink, I asked for a glass of sparkling red grape juice. We also paired our drinks with a wood-fired pizza and I ordered a Burrata Salad. They are quite delightful. I was surprised as the wines are travelled from Bryan/College Station and Fredericksburg of Texas. Umm... So, this huge facility doesn't produce wines. Although, there is a grapevines out on the front. As we've been told that those grape trees will produce grapes next year. The only winery tour is at those 2 locations. There is nothing to see here. Hehe. We swore to come back with friends and family again.

We decided at the last minute to go out for dinner, so we did not make reservations, but we never have ever needed to make reservations at this location. When we arrived there the sign at the door said wait to be seated there were several employees at the bar and neither one of them acknowledged us we had to ask and it seemed like we were bothering them. Someone finally acknowledge us and asked if we had reservations we said no but we had a party of 7 she said let me check and came back to us she mentioned that she spoked to her boss and they decided it was at there best interest not to seat us we were stunned because the restaurant had several tables open I work in hospitality and know you never refuse service to anyone that is paying. We have been members of there wine club but I will be cancelling my membership and our son had his wedding reception there 3 years ago and they were in town and decided they wanted to go there for dinner and purchase several bottles of wine to take home we were so embarrassed they have lost my business forever. It is incredibly disappointing to have such a negative experience at a restaurant that we have supported and enjoyed for years. I hope management takes the time to review what happened, because this is not the way loyal customers should be treated.

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it.
