Good people. Very relaxed environment. Great place to get a glass of wine after work . They have Open Mic Night on Tuesdays which is fun.

The inside isn't large but is well laid out making it easy to locate whatever you may need. The arrangement is (as you walk in the door) bourbons, whiskeys and vodkas on the right hand side, beers and wines in the middle with beers being in a cooler and rums, tequilas and flavored liqueurs on the left side. There are also a few specialties of the aforementioned on the left side, as well. Moonshine is located by the register for those who need something stronger to quench their thirst. The wine selection is small but there are a couple unique type wines such as a wine that is popular in Japan, Takara Plum. It's a nice white infused with plum and has a nice, light refreshing taste. The young lady working there was very friendly and helpful. It's a family owned business and they do work to satisfy customers. The store is clean and well kept, although the smell of perms and hair treatments filtering in from the hair salon next door can be slightly overwhelming. The selection isn't extensive but the products are nice quality and the prices are very good comparatively. I enjoyed browsing in here and am satisfied with my purchase. It's a place worth checking out.

I came here the day after Thanksgiving and wanted to give it a try with my family. The place was…read morecompletely empty and only one server was working. I get it - it's right after the holidays so staffing could be short. The server we had wasn't exactly enthusiastic, just did the bare minimum. Dishes piled up and we weren't asked about refills. You'd figure because there was only 1 group that the service would be attentive, but nope! The food that we ordered from the kitchen were all super fresh and delicious. My favorites were the bulgogi gimbap, eggroll (tiny rolled egg omelette), and chicken wings! They come out super hot - loved them all. The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.

I think for the experience the price was well worth it! I recommend you upgrade and do the 28.45 dinner portion as you have full access to the menu. My favorite dishes were the fried pork belly- so crispy and yummy And the rose broth pot was so savory and sweet- would love to get this again. Service was fantastic! The owner and Nathan were amazing! Inside is really cute and and great for bigger groups.

Located in the Sterling Plaza center on side strip mall next to H-Mart is China Place, one of the…read morefew specialty liquor stores that focus on Asian spirits. It's a lot more spacious than it looks and ripe with inventory that include everything from Chinese baiju to Japanese + Taiwanese whiskey (#1) to Asian based wines that are harder to find in the US. This is the good part. The not-so-great part is the fact their customer service is borderline atrocious. Phone manners are non-existent and help within the store has always been a challenge. Speaking English and Chinese has gotten me the same exact result, so it's always good to have a game plan before perusing. The other not-so-fun part is the sticker shock. Some of the items here are pretty expensive. To make matters worse, the price is not evident on every bottle or every shelf. One instance where I attempted to pay with credit card, I was asked if I could pay in cash instead. Thankfully, I had enough but somehow I still felt rushed out. But in the end, instead of feeling slighted by my experience, I am still thankful this is an option in the neighborhood. I don't know about their selection versus other similar stores, but with the size and everything, I would have to assume China Place is still one of the better options in town despite some service snafus. If in a pinch and looking to gift a bottle to someone in the neighborhood, I'll certainly be stopping by again. ___________ (#1) This is some of the best whiskey in the world. Trust me.

It's the typical liquor store located right in the heart of Chinatown, which offers several different types of liquor, including a lot of imports, which is super fun. I love using local stores instead of the usual corporate crap, and this is a great example of a good one, which also sells some Asian Goods which are excellent.
