Great place for a Happy Hour. I was impressed with their happy hour menu and how great the food was. The fried pickles were probably my favorite. They have wine, margaritas and beer + queso, wings and other bar food. Our waiter was a nice young man that was running the bar and our table. He was very friendly and kept us entertained. We went on a Wednesday for their steak special and weren't disappointed! We got a loaded baked potato and steak for a decent price. My favorite was the potato surprisingly. Pizza, burger, and shrimp. All a hit at the table!! Our 3 year old said as we were leaving "that was very delicious". We did the build your own pizza and added pepperoni and Canadian bacon simple but very tasty. The sauce was flavorful and the crust was toasted just right. The burger was big and had all the fresh toppings fries were crisp shoe strings fries. Now the shrimp, it was with the creamy bang bang sauce, it had a kick but not too much as my toddler enjoyed eating about 4 right before the food came out. We didn't try any special drinks but the water was nice and crisp . The server was a nice young lady, the place was not full but there were people at the bar and people sitting outside. A friend of mine suggested we stop here for some drinks and to watch a basketball game, so we went ahead and did so. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when we walked in, it was clear that this wasn't the same vibe as many of the sports bars we see inside the loop or in most neighborhoods. For one, this place is definitely a bit more upscale than we'd find elsewhere. The crowd skews middle-aged, with mostly people in their 40s and 50s on dates or in small groups, mostly keeping to themselves. The prices are much higher than other sports bars, but that's probably to keep a certain clientele in and a certain clientele out. Given the prices, we stuck to one round of drinks and one round of appetizers. The waitress put everything on one tab and disappeared, so we ended up just splitting the bill via Zelle. Thank goodness for modern technology, because if we'd waited for the waitress to materialize again, we would have been there quite some time and this review probably would have reflected some frustration from that wait. read more

This is a great place to hangout, lots of televisions, a very bright daytime setting, friendly staff, and skilled bartenders. Spectators Bar and Grill does a great job of offering and delivering delicious food and wonderful drinks equally well. I have a strong appreciation for craft cocktails and they have several specialty drinks worth checking out. You absolutely can't go wrong with burgers and fries but after a couple of visits, I haven't found anything I didn't like. This is not your typical sports bar, rather an upscale bar overlooking a lake with items on the menu such as ribeye steak and raw oysters. I saw a drink on their cocktail menu that was $25, if that gives you any idea....although most drinks are around $11. They even have a kids menu. I sat at the bar on a weekday around lunch and it was fairly quiet. As other reviews indicate, they seem to cater to an older clientele...and this was true during my visit as well. The primary reason for my visit though was to try their famous Prime cheeseburger. It was a Monday, so I took advantage of their Monday special and tried the house margarita on the rocks as well. Burger - it is cooked to order with your choice of cheese, I chose cheddar. This burger has got to be one of the best sports bar burgers out there. Based on appearance, it's a 10. It looks like something served at an upscale restaurant or fine French dining. The patty is square and maybe around 1/2 lb. Its made with chuck, brisket and short rib, one of the best combinations you can get for a burger. The shoestring fries complete the meal and are served in a stainless steel container with freshly grated parmesean. Margarita - decent margarita served in a Collins glass. There is a slight artificial flavor taste, so you know it's from a mix. It is shaken, so its not completely pre-made. Overall, not a bad spot to try if you're in the area and have some time to kill, or want to watch a game, as there are 6 TVs that bartop patrons can watch, and a few others around the rest of the room for others. read more

This place was unique, because it really is a bar for grown folks and not the 20 year old set. One of my friends was like, "We gotta go there," and so we met him up there. First things first, what's unique about this bar is that it's not a hookup bar kinda place. You really aren't going there to meet anyone new. Everyone there tends to stay relatively with their own group. The energy was fun and loud during a UH basketball game. (I was there with my friend, but paid attention to a baseball game at the time.) However, all you had to do was people watch and you saw the entire bar was filled with the 45 and up crowd. The funniest moment for me, during my people watching was to see a young couple in their 20s enter and look horrified at the crowd and leave immediately. Mind you this 45 and up crowd were good looking people, even the hot girl table, full of mostly women in their early 50s/late 40s were really pretty. However, this ain't a club, my young yelper. You want to meet up with 20 year olds, this ain't it. Because this is an older crowd, catering to that young at heart professional, the prices are just stupid expensive. If this is your neighborhood bar, you probably live in one of the nice townhomes nearby or a swanky Sugarland home. Or you aren't financially responsible. The service was okay. What's good - the waitress was very kind and she let me taste dragonfruit vodka before making a final selection. For the record dragonfruit in any form is terrible, based on that sample. You will be attended. What's bad? Our waitress forgot to bring napkins and took a long time to bring back food or even communicate - hey kitchen behind or anything. I guess my favorite bar just lets me know what's up, so I'm not getting frustrated. She also just automatically put everyone's tab on one ticket. Maybe cause we are talking about swanky rich folks, I don't know, but that was kind of a buzz kill four our group of 4, as only me and my husband had to leave early. The other two were willing to stay later, but hey it's the bars loss, not ours. Now, because I love the vibe, how safe it feels, and the fact it has a lot of fun energy, I would come back. I wouldn't come back regularly with those Paris prices, but yeah a working girl definitely needs a classy sports bar in her life, and this is it. This is why I think people rave about it, but neglect to mention service can be off and the food/drinks are on the hella expensive side. Come to check it out. Stay if this bar is in your budget for neighborhood bars. I definitely would like to come back, just not this month, as I already went over my bar budget with this trip. read more

This place opened in record time after the whiskey and taco place in Riverstone. The interior is clean and very close to what it was before, but I guess it is all new owners and staff. I ordered the cheese burger and fries, my husband got sliders and my son got the kids chicken and French fries. The cheese burger was great, cooked perfectly with all the toppings. I'd totally get it again. My husband enjoyed his sliders, pretty plain and straight forward. My son enjoyed his chicken. Portions were good, prices are on the high side. Staff was friendly and attentive. The only thing was the waffle fries, we inquired about the ahead and were ensured they were great! They were so hard they were basically inedible. Truly one of the most sad experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered two Johnny walker blacks on the rocks. Total price is $38 - no problem as good whiskey demands a good price. Oh, but I get charged $2 for a single ice cube. Seriously, I pay $19 for the drink (no problem with that) and they add $1 for the ice. I would truly love to meet the moron running this company that authorized such a ridiculous nickel/ dime charge. As a retired business executive I am still amazed at the stupidity exhibited by the "managers" (snowflake idiots) running these places. This place is a nice quiet spot. Great for watching sports or getting a group of friends together to chill. Outdoor seating right near the water too with TV's outside as well. The menu is small but everything is delicious. What put our visit over the top was the service. Our waitress was Kylie and she was out of this world! She really went above and beyond. We had a few unusual requests and she made it happen and never for one second acted like we were putting her out. I asked for coffee which is kinda weird for a late night request. My mom, dad and I tried this new spot in Sugar Land, because it was literally 3mins from my parents' house and my dad had heard good things. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who told us to take a seat wherever we liked.. We were leaning toward the covered patio, however it was a windy night, so we chose a table inside near the back of the restaurant. The bar was full. The music was just loud enough to be enjoyable, but not overwhelming and the vibe was friendly and up beat. Our waitress, Brooke, promptly greeted us. She was super sweet, friendly, knowledgeable, informative about the menu, and moved at our pace. Our food came out quickly but with adequate time between apps and entrees. The food was AWESOME! Fries were so good, my mom's prime ribeye was cooked to perfection and the Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls melt in your mouth, cheesy yumminess!! My mom said her ribeye was better than most steakhouses ! The most memorable part of our dining experience, however was Brooke. I've worked in food and beverage in restaurants, hotels , sports bars, etc for over 20 years, and it was refreshing having such a warm and genuinely caring service industry professional taking care of my family and me. My wife and I have been to Spectators a few times and enjoyed it. But I don't ever see us coming back again due to their lack of honesty and unwillingness to give us what we won after they reached out to us. I felt like this would be a place that we'd frequent but now... we'll pass. I only expected that they would do right by their customers but I see and everyone else can see that isn't their intention. I didn't want to make this post but after my wife being ignored, it is what it is. We visited Spectators Bar & Grill last night at Harvest Green. The service was awful. We sat at the bar and the waitress, Tatiana had to be probably the worst waitress we have had in a long time. She was slow, never smiled and when we told her it was my husband's birthday she could have cared less plus her skirt was entirely too short. Just gross -- Because the service was horrid we asked that they make our food to go. The pizza was fine our appetizer mediocre at best. Won't be visiting Spectators again. read more

We went on NFL conference championship Sunday and had a great time. The staff reserved me a table and took trouble to make sure when we expected to arrive. There are lots of screens around the main bar which makes viewing easy. We tried multiple starters all of which were great. Sliders, chicken wings and egg rolls. I had a crispy chicken sandwich later and that was also great. Now I'm a beer drinker and the craft beer selection was a bit limited but we enjoyed the St Arnold's Spring Bock and the Texas Leaguer 2 Hopper. Both were fresh which is most important. Overall the place had a light , airy look and feel. There are some classic sports photos hung up on the walls that add a clean sports look. ( loved the Mohammed Ali - Sonny Liston one).
