Called to receive a quote for chairs and tables for an event we are hosting and spoke with Yvonne. They asked for all my details and said I would have a quote within 15 minutes. Never received a quote from the company, called back to try to give them another opportunity but they did not answer my calls or voicemails. Save your time and try one of the other companies instead! I'm glad I called somewhere else instead of waiting for a quote I never received. Based on other reviews for this business it seems like it is not the first time this has happened. read more

Absolutely would use Avalon Event Rentals again and again. We rented a few chairs for a Christmas party we hosted, and Avalon makes it so easy and affordable to do so! Pickup and drop off was very simple, it is extremely organized, and are very helpful with communication! I plan on using their services again in the near future. I would recommend this company! Update: The owner called me to discuss. She mentioned was the negative reviews I posted. She said that he was told to drive, stay in the truck and not have any contact with me. But, he was here. With half of the buttons on his camo shirt unbuttoned. She said he still has his job because it is the busy season. She asked what they could do to get me to change my reviews. I said that I would update my reviews when something did, or did not, happen. I said that I would love an update when something is done. Here is my current update. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I had a corporate event in the office and rented 20 tables, 400 chairs and linens. A crew of 4 came to set up. They were here for several hours and very cooperative. All of this was ruined when I was looking around with the head of the crew to make sure everything was satisfactory before they left. The event was on 2 separate sides of the suite. One side had the other 3 crew members and THANK GOODNESS one of my building's staff. The head of the crew and myself went to the other side of the floor alone to check the setup. He proceeded to ask me if I am married. I told him that I would not talk about that with him and turned to go back to the other side of the floor as fast as I could. Then he asked me for my phone number. I said no. He said, "Come oooooon." I loudly repeated NO just before getting back to the side of the floor where there was other people. Thank goodness building staff was there. I should not have to be wishing that I had brought my pepper spray with me. This is not okay. I called the company and spoke with a manager. She seemed empathetic and apologetic. I told her that when the crew came to pick up the items the next day - HE can NOT be here. But, here he is. I keep having to ask coworkers to go with me to check progress of the teardown so that I am not alone. That is not okay. I called again and a manager is supposed to call me back. BEWARE! This company lies, they try to get over on people. Run away! Please read all review here and google...same story. They are late or don't show up or on time. Client had an event on 9/25. The rental company came on 9/24 for early load in, which venue accommodated. There was an issues with pipe and drapes so they had to come back Saturday as well. They knew the event was on Saturday yet are saying the client and the venue told them Friday midnight pickup. Make it make sense!!! Then they send their driver to the venue on Sunday at 10am when no one is here. No call to confirm, just show up excepting someone to be here? They still have not called me back. This is the second time they done this...5226 does not allow next day pick ups. You have horrible reviews, with the same story. read more

The prices, selection and location lead us to rent a few chairs and tables for a small party at our house (during COVID oh no!). The lady running the office was very friendly and helpful when my wife called to get some clarifications before renting. She was equally pleasant when I picked up and dropped off our order. The ladies at the loading bay took great care loading and unloading with their equipment and my truck. The chairs were next to new and while the tables exhibited more wear they were still entirely serviceable. While the location is a bit hidden in the warehouse district off Brittmore, it's not difficult to get to. read more

I tried to get a quote for a stage and all I got was a runaround. I kept hearing they would send me a quote, but it never came. We went back and forth all day long. Planned to have amazing bridal shower for my sister didn't go as planned. Paid a pricey bill only to have a few let downs let's begin clear ghost chair broke elderly lady fell down hurt. Margarita machine did not freeze to make margaritas within a 7 hour time from before and during the event. Easy to work with. Everyone was nice and friendly. We had a small party and needed a few tables and a couple dozen chairs. I sent in a quote request through their website before business hours and had a reply within an hour of them opening for the day. The price was great. The furniture was clean and just what we needed. Our order was too small to need delivery, so we picked it up at their warehouse, which was easy to get to (though Google Maps will tell you you're going off the map to get there, just keep going to the end of Warwana and turn right--the building is just ahead on the right). We will definitely be using Avalon again for our next party rental needs. read more

My fiancee and I booked a large tent in anticipation of our wedding for June 2020. Shortly after the booking, COVID forced us to postpone our wedding - a year later, we still have no idea when large weddings will be allowed. We tried multiple times to ask for our deposit back, but were unsuccessful. Avalon is the only vendor who is not returning our deposit at this time, even though we explained that we plan on using them once restrictions are lifted. We are now forced to decide if we will forfeit the deposit and go with another company or simply continue waiting until restrictions are lifted and postpone. We rented a tent package from Avalon for our wedding for $5.8k; with an AC add on for $2k. The package included the tent, all tables, chairs, linens, and setup of these items. The sales associate was great, but we had trouble when it came to delivering the product for which we paid. Some of the issues were (1) delivery crew being late for every delivery/pickup, (2) having to pay for a generator/fuel for he crew to set up after dark because of how late they were and how much time they took to set up, (3) not delivering everything the first time and (4) not setting up all the items inside the tent that they were supposed to (and that we paid for), so we had to do it ourselves. The tent had holes in the ceiling too. There were other issues, but those were the big issues we faced. After it was all over, we went back and forth with Avalon management for a partial refund. In the end, they made it right by refunding about 20% of the total but it took more effort on our part than we would have liked (original offer was $100 refund). They assured us that this is not the norm; as their other reviews indicate, but unfortunately we cannot attest to that. read more

If you can find another event rental for your event, I would highly recommend it. We had a huge corporate event on 12/19/19 not allowing our guest enter the venue until the stage arrived. We paid upfront almost $500 for our rented stage and set up just to arrive for it to NEVER show up, without even a courtesy email or phone call. If the company was incapable of fulfilling the order why not decline our order so we can take our business elsewhere. Very unprofessional and unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this business one bit. I rented a few dozen chairs from Avalon for a bridal shower that I was hosting. Because original plans to borrow chairs fell through, I booked my rental less than a week before the event. I submitted an online quote request on Sunday night, and had an email with a formal quotation and all details early Monday. They had no minimum order amount, did not require delivery, and their rental pricing was very good. The staff could not have been friendlier or easier to work with, even when I showed up at the last possible minute on Monday to return the rentals. I highly recommend Avalon. You won't find a better deal for smaller parties and events where you are trying to keep costs down and can manage pickup/drop yourself. read more
