If I could leave zero stars, I would. My three sisters and I came in for pedicures this evening, with an appointment for four. This was hands-down the WORST experience I've ever had at a nail salon in my life. They had four bowls set up, and I was the third person to arrive. Two nail techs were already working on two of my sisters, and when a third nail tech showed up, she began working on my other sister, who showed up last. I worked in the service industry for 10 years, so I feel like I am very patient and understanding. However, I sat there with my feet soaking in the bowl for so long that the piping hot water turned cold, my feet pruned, two of my sisters had finished their pedicures, and my sister, who arrived last, was almost done receiving her service. During that time, four other customers came in, and other nail technicians in the shop went to work on them, including one of the technicians who was previously working on one of my sisters. Finally, once I realized I wasn't going to receive the service I came there for, I got up, dried off my feet, and put on my shoes. I hate to say this, but the actions of these nail techs seemed purposeful. My sister even asked if someone was going to begin my pedicure, and although they said "yeah," that obviously never happened because I'm writing this review. While I was waiting on my sisters to wrap up their services, one of the nail technicians that worked on my sisters kept shooting me dirty looks. That is another reason why I felt their actions were purposeful. I live in the DFW area and frequent several salons that are far superior to this one, and I am never treated with the snobby and aloof attitude that I experienced this evening. This place overcharges and doesn't provide the skills or level of class that I experience on a regular basis in DFW. In conclusion, there are several other salons in San Angelo that blow this one out of the water and don't make their customers feel inferior and forgotten. Steer clear of this salon. read more

Horrible experience getting a set of nails removed and a manicure. The lady was very sweet but very incompetent. Cut my index finger above the cuticle with the drill. Then burned my nail bed on another finger with it. Took forever and I waited it out to get it over. Then they wanted to charge me $25 and acted like nothing happened. I complained and they gave me a "discount" of $5! Omg. Awful service. read more

This past Saturday I had an apt for eyelashes and fill. Jerry did an amazing job on my eyelashes, she was supposed to do my fill unfortunately she was unable to and had a gentleman do my fill. He didn't quite get my color correctly but it was ok. He did cut my finger and I felt like he was in a rush. I would Of like him to clean my nails underneath. I will be back and hope Jerry will do my nails next time. read more

We just moved here from out of state so I was looking for something nearby and with good reviews. The staff was friendly and I got right in for a full set. The experience was pleasant but the lady working on me got a bit over eager on the filing and filed down the side of my finger causing me to bleed. It happens, so I still tipped her. Nails looked nice. By the time I got home 10 minutes later I noticed that the polish on some nails was over my cuticles and a little while after that my thumb nail polish began to peel off. Some other nails felt as though they were not sufficiently dry either. So I went right back. As she was removing the polish on the two nails she was looking off at something else and let the drummel slip off and ground down the skin on that finger as well. Will definitely be shopping around for somewhere else at this point. This shop had good reviews so I may have just gotten someone who is an anomaly, but employees reflect the business at some point. read more

The owner/manager seems to be obsessed with how fast they can get their services done. The menu is literally sectioned off like "callus removal: 2 min" and "massage: 3 min". I paid $95 for a shellac pedicure and dip manicure on my natural nails for both. The lady who did my pedicure did a good job but the first two colors I wanted (off the menu) they didn't have. My manicure was unacceptable. The man who did them was in a rush to get my nails done and didn't even cover my full nail with powder. I said I wanted oval, got jaggedy square. Lastly, and most importantly, this salon chooses to use UV/LED lights (not sure which, but both emit UV rays) to set your dip powder. WHAT?! No. When I said I didn't want them to use the light I was told nobody uses the top coat that you're supposed to use with dip. K...I lived in Dallas for 6 years and not once did they use a LED or UV light on me or anyone I knew. I'm almost in tears at how much I paid and what I got in return. read more

Wonderful experience! Very clean and they use a plastic tub cover for each new customer. There are many different pedicures to chose from ranging from $20 for just the basic to $70 for the deluxe pedicure. They tale their time and always do an excellent job. They also offer beverages to every customer and they do not limit you to just one (although I rarely need more than one). Just a great place all around. read more

I took my daughter her and I had an "Avalon pedicure" with polish that last a long time. First we Waited for at least 45 min before they got to us. The pedicures came out very nice. However, the young woman Tina, who worked on my nails was very rough at one point she was beating my legs with hot rocks. She dug the tools into my toes. My toes are still sore over a Week later. But the worst part was they charged me (160$) I was shocked I'm sorry to say, I'll never be back. read more

I just moved from California and was worried I wouldn't find a place that was up to my standards here. I was completely wrong! My friend took me to Avalon nails for a pedicure and I fell in love with the place. Everything was first class from the decor, to the pedicure. They offer you drinks while your getting your nails done(non alcoholic). There are different fragrances to choose from for the scrub that come with the spa pedicure(green tea, tangerine, lavender, milk & honey and a few others). Everything they use is clean. That is my main concern. I've been several times since then and have had a wonderful experience each time. It is such a relaxing environment. For a pedicure(includes callus remover) and the Shellac manicure with French tip color I paid $60 which is about right because French is always an additional cost and Shellac is more expensive. They have so many Shellac colors to choose from. I just got back from the salon and had to post a review. "The worst pedicure of my life," said my sister as we were wrapping up. I gazed down at her feet, and they looked like mine when I used to paint my nails as a teenager. "Well your nails look nice", I said, looking at her hands. "I did those" she replied, "while I was waiting for my pedi". And then another client's daughter stepped on her foot as she was carelessly throwing something away reaching right between the two of us. I was eager to leave. I did not have my feet done, but rather a full leg wax. I've had my legs waxed for over ten years, and this experience was, remarkable. It's been about four hours and I've still got wax everywhere: on my underwear (no throw away panties), on the bottom of my feet (wax got all over the floor), and all over my legs along with about fifteen pounds of baby powder. I don't need to get into the awkward try and try again repetition that went into removing some stubborn wax from my bum, but I'll let you know there is still wax there. 90 minutes of dipping, spreading, pressing, and pulling... for EIGHTY dollars. What?! My regular lady takes about 30 minutes with a roll on applicator, charges me half of that, and I've never been left "stuck" with all this wax on me. Sadly I have had to downgrade my review. Previously a 5 star experience, I now see this as a more 3 or 4 star. The prices seemed to slightly increase and the service a slight decrease. The pedicure was rushed and shorter then what I've had in the past and unless you're getting shilac polish they pay little attention to the actual painting process. Also the fish tank in there smelled of rotten fish and needed to be cleaned. On the positive side they still have tons of people working there so there isn't usually a wait and they have complimentary beverages. I'm going to rate and overall 4 because they do now use bags for the pedis and brand new tools that I saw them open. read more

I had the absolute WORST service today! I came in for a full set (2) and wanted my nails painted without an uncharge and got, not only a terrible reaction from my nail technician, but also a terrible service. She was rough and unapologetic because I did not want to spend the extra $15-$20 per person (2 of us) for color that MAKES NO DIFFERENCE on plastic/acrylic nails. I have had my nails done for 20 years with regular nail polish and have never had an issue about how long the color lasts. If you want everyone to get powder or gel nail polish on each of your services, than make it part of the price and don't give people the option to NOT have it and then give them terrible service and customer service because of it! read more

I was a first walk-in to this salon last Saturday and I was pleasantly greeted and offered drinks on arrival. I got a gentleman by the name of Kevin, who did a wonderful job on my fill and my daughter got another male worker, whom I didn't get his name. The greeter had a great sense of humor and Kevin was amazing! And I could her my daughter talking to her guy the whole time. Overall great experience. Kevin took his time and made sure my nail shape, filing, buffing, and coloring was to perfection. My design wasnt too intricate.. but he really took his time with me and you can just tell he cares about his craft. I'll be looking forward to go there in two weeks. read more

Hi all, Visiting this place made my trip to Texas even better! Im very picky when it comes to mani/pedi. First of all, the place is super clean. You can tell that customer service is priority here from the first step you get in, not like other places when you feel like you are like any other customer. Next, that I liked a lot, they are not pushy, when you want some specific way to do the clean up , here you dont even need to mention what to do and how to do, they are professionals. Went in with my 10 year old daughter. They really push the shellac upsell. "We have the same color in shellac, it will last longer". I wanted a full set and my daughter a manicure. I got my full set, I even did the shellac. It was NOT the same color, I am not pleased. My daughter got a polish change, not a manicure. She was looking forward to the nail soak and cuticle trim, she did not get it. The lady was so rude an smudged a nail while putting her under the nail dryer, my daughter was in tears and afraid to ask the lady to fix it. I just got a Brazilian wax and my full legs done and I walked out with my legs as they are in the photo. She left huge patches on my bikini line and only removed it after I told her that needed to be gone. I informed her this was my first time getting waxed and she didn't give me any aftercare instructions after I left. Waxing is not cheap and I only got it done for my honeymoon but it seems like I wasted my money because I will still have to shave after this experience anyway. read more

I was in Avalon Nail Salon today and had a great pedicure. I would give the pedicure 5 stars. However, when it was time for a manicure, powder dip, the story changed. The man who gave me my manicure was so pre-occupied with his phone that he never completed a stage of the manicure without stopping to answer is phone, sometimes even walking away to talk. I didn't think he would ever finish. But even worse that that was the fact he had a cold or something, wiped his nose with his hand, sneezed, coughed and did not wear a mask. I had on my mask, as did the other people working there. I finally rolled my chair back and said do not cough and please wash your hands. He at first put on hand hand lotion(!!!) and I said no, please wash your hands, which he did. I will not return to this salon because they have totally abandoned most safety protoccol in this time when Covid is once again racing through our community. I do no recommend this salon. read more

Went there with my bridal party and wish I had found someplace better to go to. The pedicure wasn't too bad, though the lady doing my toes didn't talk the entire time. And then I had a hard time explaining what toe polish I wanted on my toes. The manager had to run around and bark our orders to the workers, I guess to make sure we got what we wanted. The manicure? Worst ever. Didn't even bother asking anyone of us (5) if we wanted a manicure, but rather just threw nails on our fingers (or polish, for two of us). The french tips were slammed on, no conversation again, they didn't bother cutting the cuticles that they pushed down, and they didn't bother to clean up the acrylic that was stuck underneath my nails. My nails hurt after the "manicure" for a couple of days. I have gone to other places and gotten fake nails, and they have NEVER hurt like this. I am seriously disappointed in all of this.
