Came here on 27 Oct 24 as a walk in. I'm a nail biter so I figured my nails wouldn't be perfect, and settled with a dip. The woman gave me tips on 6 of my nails, which wasn't something I thought of--so that was a nice surprise. However, no cuticle care was done. She basically went to work without cleaning up my nail beds. Also, her shaping was absolutely horrible. She was just rushing to get to the next customer. The photo is 24 hours after getting them done. It looks horrible. A basic manicure should and always has been the standard. I paid full price and didn't have time to complain about the crap service. I also left a tip...again, wasn't expecting a miracle...but I expected the basics. Never going back and not recommending to anyone. read more

3.0 Stars Location Overview: You can find this establishment in the small shopping plaza next to HEB on Sherwood and Southland next to Nobilitea and Newk's Eatery. The overall layout of this salon is nice, there are not too many chairs set out for waiting for service. One of the main issues here is due to lack of the waiting area for services, people get lost in the mix of who is next and forgotten. Customer Service: The customer service here was good, it was just unfortunately when one of the techs could not do a design they would ask another tech to do it and I was left at a nail station for 15mins halfway into my nails being done and not being attended too. Quality/Quantity: After leaving almost three hours later the quality of my nails was fairly good. I do not have any doubts that the job could be done by any tech here, if so they will have someone that is capable to do so. We have been in San Angelo for 6 months visiting family. This has been my go to spa. Have been of until my last visit today before we leave town. Got a pedicure. The lady how gave me my pedicure acted like she could care less about being there. When she was doing the exfoliating of my heels etc she apparently didn't want to pick up my foot with her whole hand to hold my foot. Instead she grabbed my big toe and held up my foot/leg that way. Really strange. She did do a good job with the polish but other than that a lame job. read more

Horrible service, nail dip powder had splotches and discolored instead of removing and he kept on going with the powder , and still charged me $60 for ugly nails, and didn't even care to fix it. Wouldn't recommend, and rude to the customers read more

FYI- stay away from Oscar Nails & Spa. I have been going for almost 4 years and never had an issue. But today, I took my daughter in today for us to both get dip nails. The man doing my nails was new, so someone kept checking his work. He did take a while but I thought they looked ok. When I went to check out the price was more than double what I normally pay. I questioned it but they kept saying that was normal. As soon as I stepped in the sun I saw how bumpy and uneven my nails were. The shape was horrible (I asked for natural shape) and the thickness of the French was way too much. I called shortly after to see if a manager could have me get them fixed. He stated he knew they were bad and that's why he came over and asked me. I told him I couldn't see how bad in their dim light. He then proceeded to yell at me, tell me the guy who did my nails was gone and that no one else would fix them "for free." He offered to put a $10 credit on my account and I told him I just wanted my nails fixed. He stated if I didn't like them to just remove them myself. Mind you, after I've paid $100. He then hung up on me. When I called back he was even ruder and said he didn't hang up on me. He also stated he didn't care if I left a review because people will still come. Anyway. I've been coming to Oscar nails and spa since I moved here December 2019. They've always been great, I've never had a bad experience here. However, today was absolutely fantastic. I wanted a bit of a complicated design and they made it happen. Leon did my nails the exact shape I wanted and attempted the design but needed a little help so Tammy swooped in to finish it off to perfection. With their teamwork I got what I was looking for and I'm very thankful they didn't give up on me. Always recommend. read more

Absolutely not. Usually I have such a pleasant experience here but not today. The man doing my pedicure kept abandoning me, coming back randomly, not paying attention, and skipped out early on the massage - even though there's a timer! He did a terrible job of painting and filing. On top of that, the colors don't match! He said the color I chose for my toes wouldn't work and he'd have to combine red and this one to get a glittery red. Sure, fine. Until I saw what it ended up looking like! Really shitty job. Would've given one star but the man who did my hands did a great job. read more

Overall, my friend and I didn't have a bad mani and pedi, but we didn't have a great experience either. The Good 1.) Very friendly! 2.) As a tall person the massage chair moved back further than normal. 3.) Complimentary drinks. 4.) Kevin was awesome!! The Bad 1.) Pay attention to your clients. The soccer game on the TV behind us was clearly more important than the services we were there for. The representative was so focused on the game that she slid my foot off the holder and dropped it a couple times. 2.) Massage pressure is too light across the board. It almost tickles. 3.) The 25 minute massage timer was started as the people performing the service got up to get towels, wax, etc. I really appreciate that there is a timer, but start it when you start the massage, not when you're getting ready for the massage. 4.) We went for a family spa day as my daughter was about to be shipped out. It was the highlight of our trip to San Angelo. Very thorough pedicure. Cuticles were expertly cared for, nails thoroughly cleaned and shaped. The massage was to die for. The lady actually set a timer for the message. Polish beautifully applied. I had the deluxe pedicure, my three daughters and mother had services as well. The service was friendly and welcoming. Beautiful and clean location. I almost fell asleep it was so relaxing. You may find some places that are more or less expensive, but they won't be as good. I was a nail tech 25 years ago and pedicures were my specialty. Vicky was superb. Be sure to ask for her, but really all of our nail tech professionals were exemplary. If I ever make it back to San Angelo, this will be one of my stops. read more

Overall I had a great experience! I've been visiting the same nail salon for over 5 years but their quality has gone down over the years. I was looking for a new place with great quality nail artists and quality service. I loved this place and will be going back. My nail artist did a fantastic job on my nails. This was the best experience I've ever had at a nail salon! However, the girl at the front desk was very rude to us as we were explaining what we were there for. As I was filling out my information on the iPad, she was visibly annoyed at how long I was taking. She was friendly to us as we were leaving though. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.
