Luckily they were able to take me right away -- as a walk in. All I needed was a Polish change and the price was right, too. It's cash only, but that was no problem. They have a large selection of polishes -- including OPI and Essie. I'd recently bought a new polish to try -- which I haven't used yet -- and was happy to find they had the same one here. The finished nails were thick, bulky, over the skin edges uncomfortable, and completely different from what I requested. They had a silvery sparkle instead of the requested white shimmer, appeared unevenly filed underneath, and had product along my skin. At checkout, when I questioned the priceI was told that the service included acrylic with gel. I did not request acrylic and did not want it because I have experienced irritation from acrylic. The NexGen service I requested was priced at $45, but I was charged $60 for a different service that I had not authorized. I walked in requesting one service and was charged approximately 33% more for something else. The owner who took the payment should have sided with me a longtime customer and made the appropriate reductions. This is about mistreatment as well as horrific service. I also have serious concerns about sanitation based on what I personally observed. I saw drill bits being used on multiple customers' hands and feet without seeing them cleaned, disinfected, or replaced between uses. Some customers appeared to have toenail fungus, although I cannot confirm any medical condition. These observations raised concerns for me about possible cross-contamination and compliance with applicable sanitation requirements. After several years as a customer, I will never return to this salon or use Tyler's services again. I intend to contact the appropriate Florida licensing and regulatory authorities regarding the salon's sanitation practices, and whether its licensing and certifications comply with applicable requirements.

When she arrived, she was in a bad mood and rudely asked me to put my feet in the water, even though the tub was empty. Proceeding to turn the cold water on and asked me again to put my feet in, which I did at that moment. She filed three toenails (while picking the nail, which was polished and damaged my nail). Someone noticed the tube overflowing and told her. When she turned to me, she said it was my fault. At that moment, I politely refused service and even tipped her $5.00 out of courtesy. I was waiting for the male technician to return to remove the foil from my hand when the lady approached me again to remove it. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there, so I told her, " Okay, but take the foil and don't need to file my nail or even clean them. She informed me that the lift will cost me $15.00 after the fact. I asked her to please show me the price chart for details. At that moment, she started raising her voice to me, so I asked to have someone else mediate. Even after another gentleman came to assist, she was still standing next to me. I paid and left, even though they were unable to produce the policy for the cost. And yes, I took my $5.00 tip back. I really wanted to like this place, and perhaps there are great things about it.
