I recently went in here for an acrylic refill, and the lady at the front desk was rude. I felt bad for the guy who was doing my nails because he didn't speak any English so it's not really his fault. The communication wasn't there. The lady just kept rolling her eyes and telling him what to do. My nails came out very thick and uneven but He barely filed them. She told me it would be $35 and added extra because he Shaved them down a little bit but in reality, I was not happy with the service and she still charged me full price didn't even care to see my nails and how awful they turned out all in all this place is not great. Penn has been my little secret for over a year now. I drive from Fort Lauderdale just to see Mai for my dip manicure. I haven't found anywhere that does as good of a job as Mai. She makes my nubs look feminine and she's the sweetest person! The salon is a small family owned place and I highly recommend setting an appointment because she has her loyal clients in regularly. Definitely give Mai and Penn a shot, you won't regret it. read more

I was about to move to the area, so went over to this shopping center to see what was there. I needed a gel mani and pedi and saw Penn Nails. I thought I'd give them a chance. Linda gave me one of the BEST gel mani and pedis I've ever had. It even held up during my two-day move! I wore gloves, of course, to protect my hands and nails, but it still held up. I'm so happy my local nail shop is so good! They also took me as a walk-in and were fully booked and busy while I was there. Linda never rushed and took the time to do a fantastic job! They also have a ton of gel colors to choose from. And there massage chairs are super relaxing! read more

Found on a whim and had a great experience. I enjoyed the small space and tranquil music and that they only showed videos of beautiful ocean views (vs the news or Bravo etc on sometimes at other salons). Im unsure of my nail techs name but they were able to get me in without an appointment for a regular manicure with only about a 10 minute wait on a Sunday morning. AND my favorite part, it's been over a week and not one chip and this is regular polish! will return. read more

There are many places in Palm Beach County County for. Nani and Lexi but none compare to Penn Nails. This is a small( ish) family run ( Tina and her mom and dad!!!) small business that is wonderful. It's full service, tine does all sorts of nail technology, gel, dipping, powder, you name it. Mom does fantastic manicures and mom and dad give killer pedicures!! I cannot say enough great things about this business. read more

I called this nail salon to see if they can take me in a for gel mani and pedi as I was within the vicinity. They were able to take me not too long after I had called. I have to say this might be one of the BEST gel manis I've gotten and I've been to a handful of places considering I'm for San Francisco/Bay Area. Very nice and hospitable. I've had multiple complain my nails while I've been here. That says a lot. The real test is to see how long my gel lasts. But I'm all for this place. read more

Worst manicure and pedicure ever! Last year was their first year since purchasing the business from Tina and they did a pretty good job. Since then something has happened and the quality and customer service is substandard and not acceptable. I spent over $80 and I'm embarrassed to have anyone see my nails. Never again! read more

I would just recommend this place for a manicure. I would highly recommend it if it were cleaner. The ladies are friendly and know how to take care of nails. I could make it my go to if they cleaned it up. The nail polish bottles should be wiped, the tables should be sparkling, and the equipment should be sanitized. read more

A few days before my appointment, I contacted the owner directly to make sure they could do the **specific nail design and colors I wanted**. I sent him pictures of the design, and he confirmed that they could do it. I specifically asked again if they had the **dark navy blue cat-eye color with gold**, as well as the **chrome/cat-eye gold color for my pedicure**, because I did not want to arrive and be told they didn't have the colors or design--as unfortunately happened to my daughter at another appointment. The owner assured me everything was available and told me the service would take approximately **2 1/2 hours** for the manicure and pedicure. Based on that confirmation, I made the appointment and came prepared for the exact service we discussed. Unfortunately, when I arrived, **the owner was not there and apparently had not properly communicated my appointment, design, or requested colors to the staff**. There was also a significant language barrier, and no one initially understood exactly what I had discussed with him. I spent approximately **15 minutes with Celine trying to figure out together what I had requested**. I want to be very clear that **Celine was patient, kind, and did her best to help me**, and I appreciate her effort. My concern is not with her. My concern is with the **lack of communication and professionalism from the owner/management**. I don't come to a professional nail salon expecting a $10 eyebrow appointment. My services totaled **$227.55 including tip**, so I expect the communication and preparation to match the level of service and money being spent. If a customer sends pictures, confirms specific colors and designs in advance, and receives confirmation that the salon can provide them, that information should be communicated to the technician before the customer arrives. I am not someone who likes to negotiate over prices, and I am happy to pay for quality work. What I expect in return is **professionalism, preparation, good communication, and respect for my time**. Celine deserves recognition for being patient and trying to make the experience work. However, the way my appointment was handled by management was disappointing and could have been completely avoided with better communication. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously because the salon has the opportunity to provide a much better customer experience with better organization and communication.

This salon is a gem for pedicure lovers! I got a superbly relaxing pedicure from Tiffany, a skilled & polite technician, in a clean environment. Whenever I come to Boynton Beach I always go to Penn Nails to get my feet in pretty, poolside shape. They also offer nail & wax service with convenient hours & prompt service. i used to go to upscale salons but once I found this nail salon a little off the beaten path, they are quick soI can get in and out when I need to -AND - they do a great service and ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL VALUABLE to them whether I'm spending a little for a touch up or BRING FRIENDS IN for joint services which I do now as well because of the GREAT SERVICE and warm welcome. read more

Penn Nail is pretty fast and friendly service. Very reasonable pricing. Manicure & pedicures always look great. I have tried 3 other nail salons in the area, my manicures are acrylic, have had issues with nails breaking, lumps, bumps, cracks, etc.. so far I have experienced none of those issues, only long lasting beautiful nails. read more

However, the three that I have are amazing. They have excellent attention to detail and strive to give you the shape, color, and style you want. Stephanie, for example, is great at color matching. She has an eye for it, and I love getting a bubble gum color dip from her. Stephanie is friendly and loved by all her customers. She has one of those personalities that get along with many, and you can't help but love her for it. She books up fast, as do most. Kieu is the owner and has an incredible memory. You can expect to be imminently greeted by her when you walk in, and if you have visited the salon before, she'll even greet you by name. It always makes me feel like we are lifelong friends. I have been going to this salon for about two years now, and I have not always had a positive experience. However, there has never been a complaint she has not addressed and attempted to fix. This is one of the many reasons I keep coming back. Most salons will do good work, but how they respond to unsatisfied customers keeps them long-term. Kieu strives to do right by her customers and trains her staff to provide the highest level of service, which you can tell by everyone's quality of work. Her clients have been going to her for decades, and although she looks VERY young, she is a strong, talented business owner. Ashley is the most recent stylist I have been visiting. I love how she checks in with me by painting one toe or nail first to make the selected color I want and doesn't hesitate to switch if I ask. She has incredibly strong hands, so her massages are heavenly. She jokes with me about adjustments I ask her to make but doesn't hesitate to do them. I feel comfortable getting my nails done with her and experimenting. Sometimes the experiments don't go as expected, and she is willing to adjust for me. Her laid-back, friendly personality is contagious, and her quality of work matches. I have to confess, I really like my nail tech here and don't want to risk losing her to someone else. So, as much as I'd love to share the secret of this amazing salon with everyone, I'm mostly kidding when I say don't book with her. You're more than welcome to book after me, but be warned - you might fall in love with her too!" In the past, I used to struggle with speaking up to nail techs if I wasn't completely satisfied with the color or shape of my nails. It made me feel uncomfortable and discouraged me from returning to those salons. However, I appreciate that this salon is different - they're very accommodating, but that doesn't mean they'll tolerate unreasonable demands. It's important that we communicate with kindness and respect. Kindness is vital here! The place is always very clean, and if you need a new nail tech, I recommend you try this salon.
