They also withheld my medical records for weeks while trying to get emergent help elsewhere. A month after requesting my records I was finally able to be seen by a different provider and an understanding surgeon and nurse who simply asked:"Was she just wanting you to bleed out?" My only response was... I guess so. Thank God I switched health care providers. I would not recommend this or any UF health Womens center employee or provider. They could care less if you live or die.

She makes recommendations while giving options and suggestions of which route to take. All of this with a non-judgemental, humanistic approach. The world needs more of her caliber. The practice is located at Seven Mile and Newburgh. There is on site pharmacy, xray and lab in the building with plentiful parking.

Had a serious cut at the tip of my finger from a circular saw accident while building my new deck…read more After checking in in which took only a couple of minutes, I was in a patient room within 10 min having my injury evaluated and addressed by the on site Physicians Assistant. The PA was very polite, professional with a nice friendly disposition that took the time to explain the medical care she was going to give me where she proceeded to give my finger a 10 Iodine soak to ensure all germs and bacteria were cleaned out of my deep cut before proceeding with suturing my injury. Following the procedure, she gave me clear concise instructions for me to follow that would ensure a proper healing of the cut. From time I arrived to leaving the facility was on the order of an hour which for medical care is quite good by any standard these days. Overall I was very pleased by the service I was provided and will definately return to this facility in the future if the need should ever arise.

Dr. Kapatais was referred to me by a friend whose referrals I trust... so I gave in and went. I honestly didn't know if she'd spend two minutes with me or even do the testing because doctors seem to always want to tell you "you're fine" and send you on your way. I know I am a pretty healthy girl, but I was really interested to see my deficiencies. Not only did Dr.K listen to me, she helped me navigate through my fear of flying, which came up randomly because she actually talks to you and helped me understand more natural and realistic ways of dealing with my health, which is what I was so excited about. I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health.
