I went to Avandy medical for about 6 months and each time I went in they would bill me $30 co pay which I paid. Then I receive a statement in the mail that I owe $225 I called and asked for their billing department they didn't even have the right insurance information... also my address was incorrect the first time I called so I didn't know I've had a bill since September! They didn't have my home address correct or my insurance? I verify insurance for a living, stop copying and pasting. Very unorganized office. read more

My experience at Avandy Medical has been disappointing, especially given the announcement that my doctor Dr. Emily left. Since then I have learned the practice will be switching to a concierge model in January 2026. If the current level of service is any indication, I see no reason to pay extra for it. It often took several days to receive a call back, and I had to track down my own results -- something no patient should have to do. A "concierge" experience should mean better access and communication, not less. There are plenty of doctors in this city offering concierge care, but before asking patients to pay more, the basics of follow-up, communication, and respect for patients' time should already be in place. I was/am a patient but things are going downhilll. When they first opened they were so professional, so caring, so clean. The portal worked perfectly and was super helpful. The front desk was organized and took care of things. But now they don't answer the phone half the time, there's no availability for appointments, and the online portal doesn't function. I was considering switching over with them to do concierge care but if they can't maintain high standards now while trying to recruit patients to go concierge then I'll pass. read more

This is my second year coming to this doctor. My first experience was great got right in no issue listen to my concerns. As I schedule my second year physical assuming it started over in January. I had to call a few times to see if I can get in sooner as I am trying to get pregnant and want to make sure all my blood test are normal etc. I wait for about 15 mins in the lobby and another lady ask me again what I am here for and I let her know a annual physical. She then proceeded to tell me I have to wait a whole year until I can get another one it doesn't go off year dates. She tells me to not worry and they will bill it under something else. They call me back and the medical assistant tell me I have a co pay I ask okay how much? She says she doesn't know and either does the girls at the front desk as they are "ONLY FRONT DESK" very rudely. She tell me I'll get a bill in the mail. I spoke with the doctor in regards to this and she understand as a small business owner. I honestly really like her! 1 starts in regards to the lack of professionalism and customer service. I hope my next visit is as smooth as my first one.... I wasn't going to post this review which was back in 2022, but, since I am here today with the same experience from Alexis who sits in the front I wouldn't recommend this place! I made an appointment yesterday at 1pm and and had to cancel my appointment today for 10am, but then told I had to pay $50 because, it was less than 24 hours. Hence it wasn't less than 24 hours if I called at 1pm yesterday. Save your time and find another place!!!! read more

To begin, the office staff is very friendly and personable. The office itself is very clean. Before the appointment I was able to fill out the informational forms online to save time and not have to do it at the office. They send reminder texts which is very helpful! Dr. Laurel Neville was very thorough during my visit. She was extremely invested in getting to know my health concerns and was able to address them all. We just moved back to the area and I was looking for a physician. I called to make an appointment to start with the person who answered the call had no personality. The phone call itself was odd she did not ask about my insurance and it took about 10 minutes for her to figure out my email address. I had to spell it out over and over again and she kept telling me it was invalid. She then had somebody else get on the line and I gave it to her and she said OK. They scheduled my appointment and that was the last I heard until the morning of my appointment she called me and said I needed to come in early because I did not fill out the paperwork that was emailed to me as I expected. They put it in incorrectly. I got to the office and was handed an iPad to fill out my paperwork, but kept getting an error message. I was then brought back to see the Doctor Who came in for all of two minutes did examine me asked me what I needed and was very impatient I needed a referral to a surgeon so she took the information and left I went back out into the front and the front desk and the girl could not figure out how to put in my insurance so I have no idea if she did it properly or not. A few days later, I get a call from the surgery center only to find out that they don't do the surgery I need. The whole experience was very chaotic and odd. It seemed like nobody had any idea what was going on over there. I will not be back. read more

The care here used to be amazing. However, since deciding to move the practice to a hybrid concierge model (you pay monthly fee to be a patient and they bill your insurance), the care and responsiveness are awful. I have called and sent messages in the portal for over a month for my medication refill and no response. I have been out of my medication for 2 weeks and let them know. They called my husband's medication in to the wrong pharmacy under my name - I don't even take that medication. Disappointed that a practice that used to be patient focused is now more about money. I will not be signing up for the hybrid concierge model with this neglect to timely and accurate patient care. read more

I'm still awaiting a call back after leaving two messages spanning a month. Just need my annual mammogram sent to sw medical, they at least care and sent me a letter that I'm overdue. You'd think my primary doctor would be on this, but no the office staff are busy ignoring calls. My husband saw a nurse practitioner that abruptly left and is still awaiting his referrals for foot and other issues going on 6 months+. This place is horrible, don't waste your time. I really liked Dr Buttrum, started seeing her over 2 yrs ago, she took the time to sit and discuss everything. I made an appointment with an NP cuz Dr Buttrum was not available for months, I was very disappointed, the staff is not friendly, acted like they hated their jobs, the NP did not put her hands on me to assess, unprofessional. This place squandered all of its potential. It has a new office, a great location, for me at least, and a friendly staff. But the doctor I always saw, who correctly diagnosed my type 1.5 diabetes (look it up), has moved on. So now, when you call, you never talk to a person as they NEVER answer the phone and NEVER return calls. As a company that has my medical records and everything that comes with that, it's not acceptable NOT to be able to reach your doctor, or ANY doctor for that matter. Horrible service and horrible experience. It was a better experience three years ago, but has drastically gone downhill in several ways. I am immediately switching offices after having several bad experiences with regards to referrals not being sent and no follow up from the doctor, but most of all there are some front desk staff that are extremely rude on the phone and in person. Do you research and read the other reviews that are saying the same thing and had the same experiences. Amazing medical office with kind, supportive, and understanding staff. Anyone living in Vegas knows how hard it is to find a good doctor, and after decades of looking, I'm happy to find a doctor I can trust with my health. The things that really stuck out to me are: +Doctor that takes the time to listen and understand instead of trying to cram in as many patients as possible +Clean and modern and well-maintained equipment (this shouldn't even be notable, but I've been to enough offices in town to know this is a rarity) +Online portal and easy to access records and info +Medical professionals that actually respect masking and take precautions to not spread respiratory diseases in a medical setting +Actual MDs, not NPs or PAs that practice unsupervised. I'm a patient of Amy. I was in need of an appointment to go over a variety of health concerns, most places didn't have anything for 3-6 months. I was able to get an appt with Amy 2 weeks out, which was a blessing! She is AMAZING. She takes time to address each concern individually, looks for potential connections, and if something needs a specialist or further testing she will submit that. She was able to identify the cause of a handful of my issues which are related and easily improved with simple lifestyle changes. The whole staff is friendly and positive. The environment feels clean and organized. Highly recommend. I choose appointments before lunch time and there's never a ton of people. Even when I leave there's only a couple people waiting. read more

We've been patients since Avandy opened. We loved Dr. Laurel Neville and always had good luck getting in to see her. She always listened and spent time addressing our concerns. Fast forward to May of this year and when I tried to get an appointment with her, I was told she is no longer there. When I started asking questions, the gal I was talking to on the phone became condescending and impatient. The front desk staff here has never been real friendly or helpful, but I dealt with it because Dr. Neville was awesome. I was able to get in and see the new PA, Amy. She was great! But now having trouble with getting test results and call backs. I guess it's time to move on and find another GP. Staff is pretty rude on the phone and sounds like they hate their job and the customers that come with it. read more

Arrived 15 minutes late, and as such, was unable to see Dr. Buttrum. I was offered the option of seeing their nurse practitioner, Amy, and since it was just a basic checkup, and because I had great luck with that at Desert Orthopedic, I went ahead and said yes. Amy was a very pleasant surprise. She asked numerous questions to ensure she had an accurate understanding of my current and past health, and to find out if I had any current conditions that warranted care. After she was done asking questions, she made sure I had time to ask questions of my own. Due to a work injury, I've had chronic pain in both my ankle and my lower back, for several years. Amy went ahead and prescribed an appropriate medication to help with that. Walgreens screwed up my order, then, on top of that, deleted it. I both messaged and called the staff at Avandi, to explain what had happened. They took the time to resubmit the prescription, called Walgreens, cleared up the issue, and then communicated back to me by phone, that they had resolved the issue for me and that I should be able to pick up the prescription shortly. From start to finish, the staff was professional, the office spotless and organized, and Amy was amazing. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet, or chat with Dr. Buttrum, but I'm the one who was late, so perhaps next time. I'd have dropped a 5/5 here, but waiting 3 months for an appointment was a bit excessive, but that seems to be the norm these days, my prior Dr. had the same issue. If the situation arises, and something serious occurs, hopefully they'll figure out a way to squeeze me in, without the excessive delay, or better, no serious situation will arise, and it won't be an issue. Overall pleased with every facet of my visit, I'd definitely recommend this office if you need care. read more

Dr Buttrum and staff are horrible and need to work on their communication skills. Worst experience for a first time patient. Went in for a physical which was supposed to be free with my insurance. I was asked if there have been any issues and I brought up some stomach pain that randomly occurs not knowing that bringing that up will cause my appointment to switch from a free exam to a $196 fee since the doctor had to referred me to receive blood work. This was not brought to my attention until I received my bill online and had to call them to confirm what it was for. I was also told by Dr Buttrum I would receive a phone call to go over the blood work and did not receive a call and had to call in myself to go over the results. I was then told to schedule a CT scan and that she would CALL me with the results. A week and a half goes by with no call. Once again I call in and they told me that Dr Buttrum left me a message on my portal (which I didn't even know I had since I was a first time patient) . The message didn't even answer my health concern which was disappointing. When I called back they said the doctor isn't available and they don't know when she will be able to call me back. So I will be reaching out myself everyday until I am lucky enough to speak with Dr Buttrum. This by far is the worst experience I have had with any doctor and office and will be sure to let others know to go to another other place beside here. read more

The front staff is warm and welcoming, helpful on the phone setting up a new pt apt and went over the portal and paperwork, the office is very beautiful and clean. The medical assistant, Shannel (I am so sorry if I misspelt your name) was efficient and made the check in process smooth. Dr. Buttrum was an active listener, kind, patient, non-judgmental and thorough. She deeply explained everything and seemed happy to be able to help me. I've had many terrible PCP encounters and this is like night and day. I am thrilled to have found my new PCP. The only bummer is I live in Aliante! But the drive is so worth it. I've been on the hunt for a GP ever since mine decided to go full geriatric care and excused her non-senior patients about two years ago. I found Avandy on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I got an appointment with Dr. Neville and very much enjoyed my first visit. Before the appointment, I got periodic reminders about my appointment and was able to fill out my pre-visit forms on their patient portal (which is very user friendly in my opinion). At my visit, I was greeted and checked in promptly. I wish I didn't have to wear a mask but I get it. During the exam, Dr. Neville never seemed rushed and took the time to answer every question and concern I had. She was very thorough in her explanation and examination. I have only been there the one time so I'm hoping this visit was the rule rather than the exception! read more
