The staff, Irene, helped my husband to find a new frame to replace the broken IC Berlin frame. We trusted the old optometry in GG. They strongly recommended this German brand over $650 a year ago. All of a sudden the frame was broken....It was hard to find the exact size to fit the special progressive lens 2 days ago. We thought we needed to cut the lens to fit a new frame. Guess what? The owner found right away to replace the IC Berlin. The new korean brand fits perfectly without cutting lens, almost the same gray color, metal plastic combo, better design. What a lucky day for us to find the perfect frame w better quality, less expensive. The staff are super friendly. The service is attentive, fast, especially Irene really helped us. I want to say to Irene and the owner "Thanks a lot." I got so frustrated about 25 years of loyalty to one optometry in GG. I think God tells me to go find a new optometry. From the moment I interacted with them, the tone was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Simple questions were met with short, irritated responses, and the overall attitude made it clear that patient concerns were not a priority. In a medical setting, where people may already feel vulnerable or stressed, courtesy matters. Respect matters. Professionalism matters. None of that was reflected in my interaction. First impressions are important, and this office left a very negative one. I hope management takes a serious look at how patients are being treated at the front desk. Experienced for cataract surgery. I almost lost my patience this afternoon due to the long long waiting time. However all the staff were so friendly and also, my hubby was so patient w me, I was able to wait about 3 hours. Dr. Renner was so attentive, my hubby asked many questions about cataract surgery, reasons, any other methods instead of surgery, and etc.....she answered us in details. Thank you. Dr. Renner! Thank God! My eye status was mild and not much progressed after 9 months. We were finally relaxed after she told us we can check every 6 months and I don't need the surgery. The medical building is located on the Walker and LA Palma street. Very easy to find the 4 story building, plenty of parking lots. Hopefully I won't wait too long for next appointment. To be honest, I got burned out after eye checkup blink, stay open wide, so many times in a row.

And then it's just a foreign call center that relays your msgs to the respective Acuity office, which never gets back to you. I have to come here in person on my way to work to ask a simple question about scheduling. Finally, the wait times are atrocious! You will always have to wait a minimum of 1.5 hours to be seen. And that is WITH an appointment. So bring your iPad or homework because you'll be sitting and waiting at least 90 minutes to be seen.

During a follow-up visit for my eyelid problem, the second appointment two weeks after the first visit, I was told I didn't have to pay anything. But after I got home, they called me and said they had made a mistake and that I needed to come back and pay. I paid online eventually. Last month, I received a message from his office inviting me for a 'routine eye appt'. I decided to go, planning to use my annual eye exam benefit through my vision insurance because my experience with Dr. Hartstein is good, and the office has a lot of options for glasses. When I arrived, I told them I wanted an annual eye exam. After the exam, they charged me $145, even though I had said the annual exam should be covered with my VSP benefit. They didn't budge. I paid, confused, and then asked if I could use my insurance to purchase sunglasses. They refused and said the doctor hadn't given me a prescription. I became very confused, as this had never happened before. After I got home, I discussed it with my husband and called them back to ask for the billing code. They told me it was for an 'office visit'. They didn't use my VSP insurance because they considered a 'routine eye appt' to be a follow-up related to my eyelid issue from last year, not an 'annual eye exam' as a vision exam. But NO ONE told me that both in the waiting room and during the exam. No one told me that I would be charged with other insurance, not VSP, before they started the exam. So yes, I've had two confusing experiences dealing with the administration. I won't be returning. That said, the doctor himself is good. Just be careful when visiting. Make sure you clearly confirm administrative details and your insurance coverage beforehand.

(4 boxes) They ordered them. Then when I went to pick them up, they raised the price on all 4 boxes on me. I requested to speak to Dr. Hutter, who was less than 10 feet away. They said that they could have him call me when it was convenient for them. Then they gave me a "take it or leave" attitude with the lens price, and also for the hassle I'd have to go through to get what I ordered at the price I was quoted. I paid what they demanded and swore I'd never return.....and over 2 years later, I haven't. I got sick of their constant shortcomings and bullshit. My family always went here, so I did too. My mother Martha still goes there, but I'm never coming back. They pissed off a 30+ year customer for the last time. Now I get a better price on exams, lenses and none of the incompetence or attitude that they gave me. Go overcharge someone else, arrogant fuckers.
