I started with the Himalayan salt cave experience, which was so relaxing and restorative. It's the perfect place to unplug, breathe deeply, and just reset. The complimentary use of the sauna was such a beautiful added touch and made the whole experience feel indulgent and complete. My red carpet facial left my skin absolutely glowing -- smooth, refreshed, and event-ready. You can truly tell my esthetician was a professional. And of course, my blowout with Val was flawless. I have been to Avanti many times over the past 8 years & had recently returned after taking a 1.6 years off from highlighting my hair. With that said, I desperately needed a haircut, single process & highlights for a graduation party. The only day available was a Sunday & unfortunately, the stylist that had previously done my hair didn't work on Sundays so, I had no choice but to book a new stylist and this turned out to be a huge mistake! My (new) stylist was nice but over booked & ultimately my hair was burnt off. It was obvious to me that while she was putting my highlight foils in that she was working with several clients at the same time which lead to her requesting that I sit at the sink so she could have her assistant (who also washes hair) apply a "quick processing" single-color on my grey-roots...followed by a glaze application (again, while the stylist attended to her other clients). When the stylist told me that her assistant would be applying both my root color & glaze...I said, "I would wait for her if she needed to tend to her other clients first" and I was dismissed and told to go to the sink. I think if you are paying upwards of $500 for an appointment it should be the trained stylist & not the assistant applying the color. My scalp felt hot & I had questioned the procedure to the young girl several times as I was clearly uncomfortable about the whole situation because my hair had never been done this way before at Avanti. After the assistant removed the foils & was washing my hair I had asked her "if I had a lot of fallout" and she told me, "no not much" which I later learned was not true. Obviously some fall out is expected with bleach but this appointment took off a shocking amount from my crown and sides of my head!! The whole experience was not up to the Avanti standard. I got there at 11:30am & left at 4:30pm with an okay haircut, bad blow out, less hair on my head (which is the most traumatic part!!) and a messy highlight job. The highlights are chunky in some spots, the glaze seems to have taken to "most" of the highlights and definetly not in other noticeable places. The front is lighter then the back. It's very blonde in the areas where clearly the hair is now missing...the bad blowout was so quick (again because I felt that the stylist was rushing to get to her other clients) and my hair can fluff-up/appear frizzy if not fully dried throughly that I didn't understand how burnt my hair actually was and how much hair loss there was until after I got home. I regret not waiting until the colorist that had done my hair previously was available...no clue if the amount that is now missing off my crown & sides will grow back in & how long that would take if it actually does?! The appointment was $500 and with tip I paid out $625 cash which is just sickening to me given how I look. I NEVER write REVIEWS but this was just too upsetting not to share. read more

DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF!!! If you're looking for a relaxing, welcoming spa experience--this isn't it. I walked into Avanti expecting a high-end vibe, but instead got completely ignored by three staff members standing at the counter who looked right through me and then walked off like I was invisible. I had to go out of my way to find someone just to check in. I was told to pick a nail color and sit down--but when I asked where exactly to sit (since the place is pretty big), I was told to sit in a specific spot. Not five minutes later, a staff member with a serious attitude approached me like I was in the wrong, demanding I check in (which I already had) and telling me I needed to sit somewhere else. Her tone, her vibe--it was enough for me. I wasn't about to sit there and spend my money in a place that clearly doesn't understand basic hospitality or communication. So I canceled my appointment on the spot--and also canceled my son's appointment for the next day. Avanti wants to be "upscale," but an upscale experience starts with people--not pretty floors and overpriced services. If your front desk staff treats clients like an inconvenience, you've already lost the plot. I don't expect to be treated like royalty--but I won't pay to be treated like a problem read more

Last week I had a massage with Egor. A master with his hands. I've had a knot in my shoulders for nearly a year. He was able to release it and totally relax me. Today, I had a pedicure with Michelle, it was hands down one of the best pedicures I've ever had. Highly recommend Avanti. Top notch, clean, professional and friendly. This is a wanna be high end salon with extremely LOW end attitudes, and service. They act as though they are doing you a favor, and it's full of mean girl attitudes, cursing, and extremely out of style and out of good customer service. From the floor manager who is extremely rude to clients and some employees that she likes to bully, to the head stylist, they are rude, unprofessional, subpar at best, and are not helpful, kind or considerate to clients, I was someone that went there for some time so this is not a one time review. When people go to salon's they go for some down time and a great experience, not to have employees telling customers about the toxic business issues, upset at each other, talking about each other and upset at the awful floor manager, however I did see it for myself. I kept trying to give them the opportunity to see if it was just a bad day, but this is a toxic environment altogether. I had enough of their rude, disrespectful behavior. I've been to Avanti over the years since I grew up in the area and I'm often home for spurts of time or visiting family - but I haven't been in quite some time after this past pandemic year. I found myself home unexpectedly this weekend and thought "if I could just get a blow out" and called this morning Sunday 9 am (thank you for being open on Sundays!) hoping for a last minute appointment which I was SO HAPPY to get and ran right over. Destiny and Jade just made my day today. First of all, Destiny always does the most amazing hair wash and scalp massage and is so sweet. She also has the most amazing style and beautiful curly hair- which I can admire as a curly girl myself. Then Jade who is so sweet and stylish herself did such an amazing job with my blow out - which is a feat because I have thick, plentiful, curly hair and she knows exactly what she is doing with that round brush. You know within the first few minutes if someone knows how to handle coarse hair and she is a pro! She is also very methodical and patient with her work. I went in for a mani - pedi. The decor and vibe of the place was great. Very Zen. However, my pedicure chipped after 5 days and my manicure after 2 because they have crappy polish. (To the degree that the tech warned me about the polish quality after she had done my manicure). Not sure I understand paying so much for a service that doesn't last. Also I didn't notice until after I left due to the dim light but the ridges on one of my big toes were not properly removed. I just got back from another pedicure that was half the price. It was amazing how much cuticle and dead skin there still was to remove and how much better my nails look after. read more

As a man, the choices for hair cuts/styles run the gamut from old fashioned (style) barbers that can do a good job, if you have mostly short, straight hair to high-end salons like Avanti. After getting more or less acceptable cuts for years, and hearing about the well known, luxurious Avanti in Manalapan, I thought I would change things up. I'm glad I did. This is a very large day spa with water falls, a cappuccino bar, and a check-in desk bigger than many hotels. You start off getting your hair washed in a peaceful, dark room. Massage chairs that recline electrically. A high quality shampoo along with a relaxing head massage - why did I wait so long to try this place? I didn't know any of the stylists, but I've had two appointments with Angel, a well trained and highly skilled expert. Her suggestion to keep my hair long, but precision cut and styled, was the right call. My friends and family all commented that they like the new style, and I'll take that as a win! This is a large establishment, and they offer all kinds of spa and salon services, but it's not loud or noisy. The prices are competitive and well worth it in my opinion. If you want to upgrade your hair cutting experience, I highly recommend this place. And Angel. read more

Wish I could give this zero stars, I would recommend staying far away from this salon! They severely damaged my wife's hair during a dye and highlight service this year. The salon "specialist", put someone else's hair dye in her hair which resulted in it turning 3 colors, orange, brass and yellow. After expressing how upset she was, they had her come back 2 days later to "correct" it which only caused her hair to be more damaged. The best part was at the end they still charged her the full amount of the service, but they were "kind" enough to not charge her for the correction. This is a Mickey Mouse operation that should be ashamed of the sham business they run. read more

Went back today for a do-over. Luz was my masseuse. She was wonderful. She asked me where I was experiencing pain and asked me a few times during the massage if I was doing okay. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I was close to falling asleep a few times. I felt as though she really cared and wanted me to enjoy my experience. After the massage, she told me to take my time getting dressed and was waiting for me right outside the door. I thanked her and she gave me a brief tour, and invited me to enjoy the sauna. MUCH better experience this time. I would definitely see Luz again... (I feel very slight soreness but that's exactly what I wanted. I feel like I got my money's worth!) I highly recommend Luz! I felt violated by Igor at Avanti Day Resort while getting a massage. My experience during the massage: My 2 sisters, mother, and I booked 1.5 hour massages at the same time so we all had different masseuses. Their masseuses were Hope, Juliette, and Lee and all had positive experiences while I had Igor, the only male masseuse. It started by Hope, Juliette, and Lee taking my sisters and my mom into rooms right next to each other, while Igor took me to a room farthest away from my group across the hallway. This should have been the first red flag. Igor started by tucking the cover sheet to my underwear and massaging my back. Many times during the back massage, he would tuck the towel lower and lower, resulting in my butt being more and more exposed. This should have been the second red flag. I'm not gonna outline the entire experience but there were many instances throughout the massage where he went too far: Like massaging my inner thighs over and over, very close to my private parts, even after I told him to focus on my lower legs instead of my inner thighs; Like sweeping over my cleavage area all the way into my armpits. I thought he would just do this 1-2 times but he swept over the area at least 10 times so that's when I told him to please just do my neck instead. That's when he started to actually properly massage my neck/shoulder. But it was so rushed and aggressive because at that point, we only had about 10 minutes left. The entire time, he was merely rubbing the skin close to my private parts instead of a proper full body massage; The entire time, I was waiting for him to move on to other parts of the body, but little did I know, he spent the majority of his time on those intimate parts. Had I known the timing of all this and how long he spent rubbing closely to each part, I would have stopped the "massage". My experience talking to management: I let the manager on site know what transpired, she was very apologetic and said she would talk to the owner and did not charge me for the massage. What was odd to me was she tried to defend Igor by saying that he sometimes likes to do "European" style massage. I've gotten massages in many countries around the world; Europe, Asia, South America and of course the US and I've never felt violated before. I'm glad she didn't charge me but I felt she did the bare minimum so I hope they actually investigate further and make sure this doesn't happen again to anyone in the future. TLDR: I got a massage by Igor and all he did was feel me up and get as close to my private parts as possible. Lady at front desk was apologetic and did not charge me but I felt she could have done more. read more

I had such an incredible experience at the Avanti Day Resort!!!!! My boyfriend had surprised me and treated both of us to a pedicure with Parafin and a foot rub for Valentine's Day (yeah I'm a little late). The Avanti "Day Resort" is the perfect way to explain the spa, it is relaxing and a slow-paced space to relax. Upon sitting down in the pedicure chair, we were offered something to drink, including mimosas, wine, champagne and coffee drinks. I started out with a cappuccino and they brought it to me with cinnamon on top. I'm sure the pedicure wasn't cheap and the drink was "included" in the price, but the luxury of the experience was so so so worth it. Later, we had some mimosas and were told we could relax in a secluded room while my toes dried. Gorgeous! We sat in the beautiful and romantic red lounge for about 45 minutes while sipping mimosas and having snacks. Increeeedible experience and I can't wait to go back on another treat yo self day!! Only negative thing I can say was the staff was kind of rude to us, not sure why but they were just kind of standoffish and ignored my boyfriend a couple of times lol. Had THE BEST experience yesterday with Ella for my haircut! I have very long waist length hair and rarely ever get it cut because I don't trust anyone with it, until now! We sat down and did a consultation before the cut where we discussed what I was looking for and what I wanted to achieve. She walked me through step by step and reassured me we were going to keep my length and fullness. This haircut completely exceeded my expectations. Very nice staff but the hair color by Antonio was not what I asked for. I was very clear with what I wanted and showed him photos. Two stars because he did a nice job with the low lights but he darkened my highlights. Parts of my hair were a very white blonde and now my hair color looks like some kind of mud color. He also didn't tone it himself which is probably why it looks bad. He had the shampoo girl tone it. My hair is like a yellow, green, brown color. The worst part was that it cost an arm and freaking leg and I didn't get what I requested. I could of done a better job myself. I've had a very stressful summer so far due to my job. Hubby went to Avanti day resort to purchase something but being a man, he got quite befuddled as to what to get. He was greeted by the wonderful staff in the front where they took the time to listen to him and offered some great suggestions. He finally walked away with the Mani/Pedi package. Turns out that's what I was dying for so kudos to the ladies for helping him! I finally went and the ladies up front were so helpful. They saw I wasn't sure where to go and even told a customer who accidently jumped in front of me to pay that I was there first. Hubby has dropped me off so I asked them how long should this take? I was expecting like most other nail salon places it was going to be fast like an hour. Nope, a full 2 to 2 1/2 hours. They sent me to the back to where I could pick my colors. There were so many colors to choose from. As I finally settled in the two colors, Olga comes to me and asked what I would like to drink. They have cappuccino, wine, cocktails and more but I am a coffee lover. After making a fresh cap for me, she begins her magic. She goes to a table that looks like a dessert table and scoops up two generous amounts of scrub and what looked like whipped shae butter. The jet setting hot water was perfect at soothing my tension away as she massaged my calves and feet. She then scrubs feet and legs and again does more massaging. After rinsing it off she slathers on the cream. She proceeds to trim all my toe nails and scrubs there callouses off my feet. I thought she'd be finished by no, hot stones are next. Using the stones, she again massages legs and feet. This is truly a great feeling! All my stress went out the door. I love the fact that she is so beyond meticulous at what she does but also at the fact that she didn't try to gossip with me or anyone near by. She let me unwind and just did her thing. Please don't take this as we did not speak. We did and she has a fun delightful sense of humor. I want to also mention after she finished using the feet spa tub with the jets, she sticks all the used equipment into the tub. As we were leaving, another employee came in and started washing and sterilizing it with cleaners. Huge thank you for keeping everything sterile and preventing any spread of fungus which would thrive at these places. Next came my manicure. I would have to say Mani always takes a shorter about of time than pedicures. Like my toes, she takes her time cleaning, using alcohol to ensure no creams are on my nails, trimmed my cuticles ever so slightly just so my cuticles and nail polish looked perfect. She doesn't skimp on anything. Base coat, two coats of color and concluded with top coat. Then she sets you up with the toes and hands light/dryers. This helps make the polish last longer. It's been a week now and usually after a week at the other cheaper salons, my nails usually begins to show wear. I'm happy to say my fingers and toes still look as fresh as the day I had then done. Mind you, I still clean and do my normal routine things in my daily life. In otherwords I haven't babied my hands or feet. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back. I'm hooked! Thank you to my hubby for going here instead of the other place you heard about that would have been cheaper. You get what you pay for. I booked a massage last week for my good friend and myself. I was greeted warmly by the customer service manager, Dawn. Incidentally, she was also the person that took my appointment over the phone. She is the nicest person. She greeted us warmly and gave us an entire tour of the spa and all the amenities we were able to enjoy. She immediately produced two wine glasses when I said I brought wine;) My friend had just lost her dad and this was a nice way to forget her sadness for a while. I would recommend anyone to Avanti. I had the worst experience ever. They told me that their hair color is natural but big BUT, I smelled ride away ammonium, told so and my master says no-no no ammonium. Penny was so friendly and made sure my nails looked perfect especially after I chipped one of my nails while paying. My mom also had a really great experience getting a pedicure.
