It's one of those shops that perfectly captures the spirit of the city while still feeling welcoming, creative, and genuinely community-focused. The location in Midtown is super convenient, with easy street parking nearby -- always a bonus in the city. And if you have time, definitely pop next door to Nest, which they also own. It has the same thoughtful vibe and is absolutely worth browsing plant-centric items. This is my go-to spot for gifts, although I'll admit some items mysteriously end up staying with me. The selection is fantastic: unique Detroit-themed T-shirts, beautiful jewelry, coasters, drinkware, cutting boards, locally made soaps, baby gifts, and so much more. Everything has a Michigan connection, and a lot of the pieces come from local artists and makers, which makes shopping here feel even more meaningful. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people behind it. The staff are genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in their community. You can tell they care about supporting local artists, small businesses, and the neighborhood as a whole -- and that makes supporting them feel good too. If you want authentic Detroit gifts, thoughtful local products, and a shopping experience that feels personal rather than corporate, this spot absolutely delivers. I always look forward to coming back.

Tonight I have the pleasure of volunteering in the store wrapping gifts for The Ronald McDonald House. I've truly enjoyed seeing customer after customer come in with a personalized greeting for the owner, Rachael, as she addressing them by name. I love the class, style and quality of the clothes and home items. It's really nice to see men looking at the John Lennon Collection and Desigual brand clothing. Women are loving and purchasing coats, wraps. My holiday request for my kids are the Clara Clark sheets! I have to see why people are coming just hoping they are on sale. Wrapping gifts and listening to the shoppers has been fun tonight.

Last month I was searching for some special birthday gifts for my partner. Rachael and another employee took a lot of time guiding me through the store and answering my questions. I was especially looking for a shirt because a few years ago I had purchased a John Lennon shirt for myself and absolutely love it. Rachael showed me a beautiful Desigual shirt and I knew that my partner would truly like it. When I had finished paying for the three gifts, Rachael then offered to wrap them. She did a magnificent job and this past Saturday my partner opened his gifts. He was absolutely amazed by the Desigual shirt and insisted on wearing it to dinner that evening. It looked great on him! All evening, he received numerous compliments on the shirt from various folks at the restaurant. Rachael...THANK YOU! I (we) will definitely be back in the future.

I've got family in south Texas and Mexico so these lovely items remind me of my childhood and make me very happy. We stopped in the other day because my husband had purchased a blouse for me for my birthday, but it was too small (he didn't know that imports typically run pretty tiny). We brought it back to exchange, but of course Husband lost the receipt. They were very friendly about it, and let me use a store credit, which I put towards this beautiful purse. The only advice that I would give to the owners (small business owner to small business owner) is that they may want to revisit their return policy and post it clearly for all to see. No small business likes to take returns, but when you feature items that people typically buy as gifts, you need a clear return policy. It just saves headaches. I'd suggest store credit only within 30 days, and with proof of purchase. That could be either receipt, gift receipt, or bank transaction on your phone app (which is what they used to determine the price of our returned item). Something like that? Just a suggestion. Anyway, I highly recommend this little beauty of a store! Stop in and buy yourself something pretty TODAY!
