My dog has been seeing Kristina at Lotus Paws Grooming for about a year, and until today I had no…read moreissues. The quality of the grooming itself has always been good. Today, Kristina texted me asking that I pick up my dog in 15 minutes. I arrived exactly 15 minutes later. Instead of meeting me outside as usual, there was no answer at the door. I waited several minutes while hearing my dog and another dog barking nonstop inside. I knocked and repeatedly called her name with no response. Because the door was unlocked and she knew I was arriving at that exact time, I became genuinely concerned for her safety and entered the home. I continued calling her name while standing in the doorway and while going down to the basement grooming area to retrieve my dog. I received no response the entire time. I then walked back upstairs through the kitchen and living room, still calling her name, until Kristina appeared wearing headphones and smoking a cigarette. Kristina became upset that I had entered her home. I explained my concern and believed we left on acceptable terms. However, shortly after returning home, I noticed I had been blocked by Lotus Paws Grooming on Facebook. A friend who posted a review describing the incident and my mother--who asked about grooming licensing--were also immediately blocked. I also attempted to leave a Google review but was unable to do so, as the business is not listed on Google. Given the blocking that followed, this appears to be intentional and prevents customers from leaving public feedback. The home and basement grooming area had a strong cigarette smell and was not clean. This may be a concern for pet owners who expect a clean, smoke-free environment. While the grooming itself has previously been satisfactory, this was a negative and concerning experience. The events that occurred today, the condition and environment in which dogs are being groomed, and the way concerns were handled afterward raise serious issues. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending this business to others.

I think she cares for Beatrice almost as much as I do. She is amazing. If I had one criticism, it is that she is so booked. It is easier to get an appointment with the President than Stephanie. They really were so kind and answered all my questions and explained a lot to me and I really appreciated it. My handsome boy looks like he found his groomer. Well, now, their so great, they took on our Maincoon cat . Now, over his 8 years, he's had few lion cuts. I'm sure it ain't easy shaving a cat in-fact it's got to be a nightmare ! They did it! The 2nd picture is when I dropped off my 9.2-lb morkie and I picked up a chihuahua. I posted a very unhappy review on Google and they got it removed stating that it was very inappropriate and unnecessary. Then I got the following message from them....Balboa is not a 9 lb dog, he is a larger morkie (20-25 lbs) and I personally groomed him in March. The tone of your message was unnecessary and inappropriate. Professional grooming involves significantly more time, skill and care than a simple haircut, and pricing ($85) reflects that. I stand by my service and the value provided. When I dropped him off I asked for him to have the same haircut that he had previously, which did not happen, hence the statement that I dropped off my 9-lb morkie and picked up a chihuahua. I was then told by the owner that I was no longer welcomed to bring my dog back there and I needed to find a groomer that was more satisfactory to my liking. She clearly didn't read my review because I stated that I would never bring Balboa back there again because of the horrific job they did on him. I'm more angry about the fact that she tried to tell me that my 9.2-lb morkie was a larger morkie, weighing in at 20-25-lbs. That is the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard. So all I have to say to whoever drops off their yorkie breeds, good luck, because you'll probably pick up a chihuahua instead of a Yorkie.
