This is the an out and out scam. I called at 9:30am for same day delivery to an evening birthday/retirement party. This morning I discovered my mistake... Ava's represents themselves as a local florist but when you place your order it simply goes into a global black hole. They called me back the day after the order was supposed to be delivered and said they were unable to reach anyone. They connected with me by email but a response to the email goes to an address which does not accept responses. I then saw a phone call that had gone to my spam. I called that number and went into a phone menu. The phone menu goes around and around asking questions that it has already answered in the process of requesting information for other questions. Finally I reached an option to cancel my order... but it will not accept a cancellation on the system. A call back is promised. Told my sister her order was delivered to me and confirmed by me, and I never received a call. They lied and when my sister called them to find out what was happening, they kept her on hold forever with no results. I looked up flower shops for a specific location in Pennsylvania as I wanted to buy direct from a shop close to where I wanted the flowers delivered. Ava's came up and and it looked legitimate. I found what I wanted online, but actually placed my order by phone. The lady verified she was from the flower shop (Ashville, PA), but I found out after the fact this was a lie and Avas Flowers is actually located in Delaware. I ordered my flowers on a Saturday to be delivered on a Monday. When I placed my order, the amount was over $30 higher than advertised on the website. I paid for them anyway due to the nature of the reason for delivery. An hour after my order was placed, I received a text and email stating there was an issue with the order. All my attempts to contact them have failed. I automatically get put in a queue for call back and the call is ended. Returned call go right to voicemail and never ring on my phone even though I added the number to my contacts. Do yourself a big favor and avoid the frustration of using them! read more

BEWARE! Like the other reviewers of Ava's Flowers, I was completely SCAMMED. I called to order flowers for a friend's 80th birthday. I chose Ava's because a saw a lovely, reasonably priced bouquet. The person with whom I spoke left the impression that they were a local delivery. (Not true) He assured me his delivery truck would get the flowers to my friend before noon. The first inkling of a scam was that the price of the bouquet was more than what was listed on the website. (Why didn't I see the red flag?) soon thereafter I received a text saying that the bouquet was not available. They gave me alternatives via email. I chose one. I received a text that the flowers were delivered. (They were not.) And like the other reviewers here, I spent hours and hours on the phone trying to get a response. (No one ever returned my calls, as promised.) Finally I received a text saying that my money will be refunded. I'm waiting. I'm so angry at myself for not checking the Yelp reviews before dealing with this company,or any unknown company. I would leave zero stars if possible. I ordered the Starbright Bouquet the day before Valentine's Day for my elderly, widowed mother who has just entered hospice care. The price paid? $126. (Pictures included.) What was delivered bore little resemblance to what was advertised. The flowers appeared closed, unhealthy, and dull. The vase was a plain glass cylinder rather than the deep red, curved vase shown online. The substitutions were not similar at all, nor were they comparable in quality or value. For Valentine's Day, instead of the Valentine balloons (one mylar, two latex) I ordered, my mother received two identical mylar balloons that read: "Congratulations! Awesome. Wow. Way to go." What an entirely inappropriate message for a dying, grieving widow on Valentine's Day! Customer service is virtually nonexistent. I was routed only to chat bots, automated recordings, and unanswered emails. I disputed the charge with my bank and will be filing a BBB complaint. *I strongly caution others against using this company, especially for meaningful or sensitive occasions. This is a call center intermediary, run by bots or sales people who lack the "authority" to move your issues up to a supervisor or even connect you to the customer service department. I have no idea how they figured out how to do that! (and no, I have no fliters on my calls and set my phone to accept all calls). I've read that they delete comments from their Facebook and social media sites that are informative to other potential victims. The second picture is what was sent to my sister. I paid $165 for that. You can't reach them. Customer service is all by bot. When I did finally reach someone after hours of trying, he said they would send a replacement piece. Not only didn't they do that, but there was no record of me talking with them telling me they would send a replacement. Their website kept going around and around in a loop. I could never get to the option I needed. I wasted hours and days on this. My first mistake was not paying for it through PayPal or a credit card that would have reversed their payment.
