While on vacation (of course), I forgot mine. Cue the mini meltdown. I tried CVS. I tried Walgreens. Nada. Just when I was starting to accept my blurry fate, I spotted Madison Eye Associates and figured, "Why not?" I walked in hoping for a miracle--and honestly, I got one. From the moment I stepped inside, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I could barely explain what I needed (shoutout to panic and obscure contact lens terminology), but they were on it. Somehow, they knew exactly what I was talking about and actually had what I needed! They quite literally saved the day--and my vision. If I lived nearby, this would 100% be my go-to eye care spot. And I'm clearly not the only one who thinks so--their amazing reviews speak for themselves. Huge thanks to the team at Madison Eye Associates for turning a stressful situation into a genuinely great experience. You all rock!

They did not have a pair of frames that would fit my lens. After asking a couple of questions - when the last time was that I had my eyes checked, were the lens in my existing glasses the current prescription, etc.--they agreed that they could read the prescription off my existing lens and make up a new set of glasses. I agreed and they said that they'd have my new glasses ready early the next week. They called two days later and said that my new glasses were ready; I picked them up Friday -- what a quick turnaround! Nice that they accepted walk-ins. Very friendly and efficient staff. My new eyeglasses are excellent. I highly recommend Madison Eye Associates.

I was hoping they would be done in time for my trip to Michigan and let them know I was flying out Monday the 22nd. I phoned the office on Wednesday the 17th. I then inquired to see if they by chance would be done in time for my vacation, the receptionist was kind and said I will find out and let you know. She called me right back and left a message they would be there that day or the next day. GREAT I thought. I worked on Thursday. I didn't realize that the office was closed on Friday and nor was anything mentioned as it would have been pertinent to picking them up Before Friday. I was so upset when I arrived and found them closed. $702.00 and I have no classes! I called and they gave me the manager, Chris from the Fort Meyers office, he was very combative, rude and an awful person to talk to. I asked to have someone to meet me there to get me the glasses. He said I am in Fort Meyers and we will not. I asked how come the office won't have simply mentioned to me be here before Friday because we are closed on Fridays. Chris keep talking over me and telling me he could mail the glasses to me, being mean and not thoughtful at all. Like mailing they to me would help my situation, it was just awful, I work retail and I have never said such rotten things to a customer. I will have nothing to do with this company do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I have VSP for me and my husband (who is also on Medicare but no vision insurance. This becomes relevant later on.) My exam was fine, dr was nice and they told me I had the start of a cataract that just needed to be monitored. I pay for the $39 retina scan not covered by insurance that I agreed to. Fast forward to this week and my husband (who has Medicare Part G and is on MY vision insurance) has his exam with the $39 retina scan. He and the dr talked about his dry eyes (that he DOES NOT take any meds for other than OTC stuff). She said she could write a prescription if he wanted her to and he declined. She said he had the start of a cataract and that it needed to be monitored (sound familiar?). Said "he did not need a lens prescription, just use readers". Same exam, same diagnosis as mine. His vision is better than mine as a matter of fact. He gets to the front desk, and they charge him the $39 and then proceeds to tell him he owes $220 because the exam became MEDICAL?!?! Where did it become medical on his when mine wasn't? He argued but finally just gave his debit card to pay (#1 mistake. I would have walked out and said bill me!). They KNEW he had the G plan, so they will be committing Medicare fraud by billing them AND receiving pay from us. I will be filing a complaint on that. Julie didn't bother to return my call, so I had to call them again just to listen to her lie to me again. "He has SEVERE dry eye syndrome (no he doesn't, he rarely uses eye drops anymore), he had a "freckle" in his eye (so what?), he has a cataract that impedes his vision (no he doesn't and if he did why did the dr say he didn't need a prescription or refer him to an ophthalmologist?) They are unscrupulous and I would not do business with them ever again. I will be posting to all social media sites as well and will contact the BBB along with Medicare. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT USE THEM!
