I came in with a bad dye job with uneven coloring and lots of damage. Hallie worked really hard to ensure that my hair's health came first, but still managed to produce a beyond amazing result. We did a color cleanse to fix the bad dye job and two layers of demi permanent dye, she used a variety of shampoos, conditioners, equalizer, straightening stuff to produce a beyond amazing result. I came in at about 2 and left at 6:45, she stayed late to make sure it turned out awesome. The whole experience was so relaxing and I am thrilled with the result. I have pretty much always had a good experience here. They are very courteous and do a thorough job. I am always impressed with the end result. I usually get a trim. There are a couple downsides. They do often take a long time do a haircut. usually between 2-3 hours. They also wash your hair and style it after so it is understandable (plus I have really long thick hair). It is often hard to find close parking at this downtown Provo location. You can't beat the combo of service and price. read more

if i'm being completely honest, they appear to do hair well but their manicures are horrible. i went with a couple of friends last week and it looks like the girls who did our nails were just students, they didn't even have their license. they had a mentor come in and out looking at the nails, letting the people who were doing them that they were good - and they weren't. on top of that, they only filed our nails, they didn't wash our hands or anything. the supplies used for my nails looked dirty and i was hesitant, but the girl claimed they were sterile. my nails looked like a 10 year old painted them and the gel peeled off two days later on top of the whole job taking an hour and a half!! they also tried selling us products while we were walking out and i'm pretty sure no one would buy any of it looking at the manicures they did. definitely would not recommend, the nail "techs" aren't experienced in the slightest, but it makes sense since the job was only $25 and usually quality gel manicures/pedicures are usually around $40. read more

I AM OBSESSED WITH AIP!!!!! I love the education staff. They are all amazing and so helpful in every way! I feel as if my education has been way better than any other school. We always have guest speakers for free for speed waxing, spray tans, and an afa make up artist!! The facials are better than any other than I have ever had. We are taught to always go the extra mile to make our guest feel comfortable and it has really paid off in the real world. I have built a solid clientele in less than 6 months! I came in the other day wanting purple hair. YES PURPLE! And not the purple that you can only see when the light hits it. I showed them pictures and they brought out swatches. The student has to check in with a teacher or something before doing anything. I was shocked when I heard they were not bleaching my hair. But I said just let it happen. My hair did not come out purple. It's purple at the roots and dark on the ends. The teacher told me to wash a few times and I should get the color I want. If not come back for a gloss. Well after I washed it it was the still black with purple roots. So I called a little upset but I loved the aveda products so I knew they would fix it. They told me to come back and they would fix it free of charge. Got there this morning and the SAME teacher told me it was not free. Just the service but not the color...l was going to pay another 70+ dollars on what should have been done the other day.... So I walked out super pissed. I would not recommend anyone coming here. I had so much faith that the teacher would teach the students well that I would be taken care of. I am treating this place like a school now. Dont go because if they mess up they will charge you to fix it... read more

I usually go pretty extreme with my hair and it seems like the person cutting it, always cuts it more the way they want, instead of what I specifically ask for. The gal at Aveda was spot on!
