I went in for a haircut with David, he is fantastic! Very understanding and made sure I got the cut I wanted. I liked the haircut he gave me but realized I wanted it shorter yet, so he graciously touched up my hair again! I am so happy with it. If you are looking for a short haircut or want texture, he is an AMAZING stylist. The salon itself is nice and clean. I appreciate how organized it is. Aveda saved my life Saturday! I had a hair appointment scheduled at noon. I spoke to the woman on the phone who advised she had been located near the East End Market for years and had a new location. When I showed up it was a residential home with no signage so I canceled. But I still needed my hair done as I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and the bride asked us to wear our hair up. I first stopped in the salon in College Park but they were booked. The nice gentleman found an opening at a nearby salon in Winter Park for 1 PM, so I took it! The salon was very nice! Guests have a table with magazines to check out while they wait. They even offered me a soda which was great as I needed a pick-me-up. I showed up at 1 PM, and Mikaela started doing her magic. She was finished in about 40 minutes. She was friendly and fast which I desperately needed as I was one hour behind schedule. Thank you so much Milaela for saving the day!:))) read more

I am thrilled with my experience at this salon. I was in town visiting family and spontaneously decided it was time to get my hair cut after a year of growing it out. I called and got an appointment for just a few minutes later on the same day. It was easy to park and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I could tell that many precautions were being taken to protect the health of the staff and the clients. The waiting area, salon, and restroom were all clean and everyone worse masks. Then I met Joanna. She did a thorough consultation about how I usually cut and style my hair and gave me excellent advice. Even though I didn't come prepared with a picture or even a clear idea other than "short", Joanna was patient, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. She gave me several suggestions to suit my low maintenance and active lifestyle and we settled on an exciting new style for me. Joanna was very friendly and we chatted while she worked on my hair. She also gave me many pointers about how to keep up the style and recreate it at home. I also had my eyebrows waxed. Usually I am very red and puffy for several hours after, but Joanna must be an expert because it was much more comfortable than usual and I didn't have any of my usual post-wax pain. Also, I have a scar on one eyebrow that I have always thought made it hard to do my eyebrows nicely, but Joanna showed me how to work with what I've got and maintain the look at home. Joanna was so incredibly helpful and generous- she even took my picture and let me charge my phone for a few minutes before I left! Checkout was quick and I loved that I could leave a tip with my card (yay contactless!). Because of how luxurious and skillful the haircut was, I expected it to be more expensive than usual (but still totally worth it!) but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was comparable to what I typically pay at my salon at home. I'm over the moon about my new haircut! I didn't know exactly what I wanted but this is definitely it! I don't live in the area but I would highly recommend the salon to anyone, and if ever I need to get my hair cut while traveling in the future, I will look for Aveida. Thank you, Joanna! read more

I had been going to this salon for some time. The owner did my hair. Today, when I walked in, I knew he would be wired, so I told him I didn't want to have the conversation he would start with. He started anyway. I didn't respond, so he started coloring my hair. Right away, he began with the same topic. I ask we change the subject. He started raising his voice in a manic display. Thank god we were the only people in the front room. He became more irritated. He began to be challenging me verbally. I got out of my chair and asked him to remove my cape. He followed me to the door, saying You must be an awful person. He was screaming don't come back. He showed deplorable behavior to be a business person and owner of the salon. Every other employee has always been charming. You must form your own opinion if you want to risk verbal abuse. read more

Whether over the phone or in person you should treat people with respect and not sound like you're half asleep over the phone either. Erica was my stylist at the College Park location. She provided amazing results with color correction, cut, and style. My hair was very damaged when I arrived and I needed color correction. She was able to create her magic and deliver!!! My experience was of a high end Salon without the prices. The staff could not have been more amazing. Matthew Michael Aveda on Edgewater Drive in Orlando is a fabulous salon. I had my hair cut & colored, and my daughter had highlights & a haircut.....Joanna was our stylist.....she did a fantastic job! Joanna is so professional, really takes time with her clients! She offers great suggestions and listens to how you want your hair to look.....then she does exactly that! The Aveda products they use are wonderful. Joanna, hands down is the best stylist that I've ever gone too....and now that we have found her...she will be the only one we go too! I was intrigued to try the new salon that moved into my neighborhood. I called them a couple times to schedule an appointment but no one answered or called me back. I decided that maybe I would have better luck if I just went there. I stood at the front counter for about ten minutes as there was only one stylist present and she was working on a client. I quietly waited as she saw me walk in. I assumed when she had a moment she would give some type of acknowledgement. We finally made eye contact, I smiled, she turned around facing her back to me and continued working on her client. Not so much as a hello. So I simply left. The staff was lovely. The haircut is awful. To be fair I saw a few people get cuts style and color and thought they looked amazing. I however look like either a pumpkin or a little boy from the 1800's. I have been advised to write this. I think I'm one of the very few bad haircuts. I would probably suggest them to people. I came in to get my hair cut and colored, due to the curfew I had to leave early and come back the next morning for my cut. Everyone was so accommodating and amazing.
