I was told Liz was great...not so much. When I walked in for my appointment, she said hi and immediately walked me to the area to shampoo my hair. I attempted ask her if she wanted to discuss what I wanted and she did not reply but sat me down in the chair and shampooed my hair. Once back at her station I told her I wanted a "trim" and no more than ¼ inch because it didn't take much to make my already short hair (just long enough to go behind my ears) look as though it had been cut. She laughed and asked why did that matter. First mistake on my part, I should have stopped her at that point and walked away. I showed some pictures and she began cutting my hair. Once my hair was dry, she started cutting into my hair from all sides and angles and I questioned what she was doing. She stated she didn't cut hair like everyone else...which is absolutely true...and said she was placing a "small stack cut" in the back. Second red flag that I ignored but looking back it was too late because the damage was done. By the time she was done, I had layers in my hair, which I had not asked for. My hair was basically one length but when I entered the salon and she commented on how thick it was, sadly she had cut layers in my hair and it was so short in the back I can't get the smallest roll brush around the hair. It's not thick any longer! It will take me 6-8 weeks before my hair is even long enough to consider any type of trim. NEVER GO TO THIS PERSON. This is the 3rd time my hair has been butchered by this salon...3 different hair stylists. I will never go to this salon again. read more

I am so fortunate to have viewed Yelp to help me choose a new salon. Choosing a new stylist makes me so nervous! I found this salon, which is very conveniently located right off the interstate. My first interaction over the phone showed me that this place is very professional. The woman on the phone listened and helped choose someone right for me. I went in this evening for my first appointment with Jenny. The salon takes COVID precautions very seriously. It is a large salon with plenty of room between you and other clients. This is the kind of place you wouldn't find unless you were looking for it because it is tucked back in the shopping plaza. What I like about this salon is that it is hip, vibrant, clean and big. The salon is always so clean when I come in and there's even fresh coffee for you while you're waiting for your appointment. So I gave Jeffrey an opportunity. Most importantly, he listened to every comment that I mentioned about my hair and what my goals were. I had tried another salon (yuk) - she was good with color but really bad with cutting/styling my hair. After looking over old photos of my "good" hair cuts he went to work. I have been going to Amber for over a year for my color and cut. I can honestly say I have never loved my hair more. I have very thick and textured hair that has been hard for other stylists to deal with but I have finally found someone who understands and knows how to work with it. With my type of hair, bleach has never been my friend but Amber gives me the blonde and the softness that I never thought I could have. I got to witness her full understanding of hair when she styled me and my bridesmaids' hair for my wedding. I was looking for a new hairdresser and was not too familiar with much around here since I just moved to Florida (from Maine) about a few months ago. I checked out yelp for reviews on salons and out of the few salons that seemed to have good reviews, I chose Moriah Brandon's (it was my 2nd choice because my 1st choice was not open on Mondays & because it was closer). I wanted to request someone (maybe from someone else's review) but instead decided to roll the dice.... they scheduled me with Lisa. Lisa was cute, friendly, and helpful... advising me of places to check out and not to (in the area). The salon was a little outdated yet at the same time it was classy, clean, and nice. My salon visit was nice & set me at ease with trying out new stylists, which can sometimes be scary. Overall I think Lisa was great.. precise cutting and great personality. This is definitely a place I can go back to and get a good haircut. I might, however, try out another salon for my next cut/style... try something different. read more
