Cassie, my misuse was fantastic. HOWEVER, the lady working the counter was "new" and couldn't figure out the register. The boss was nowhere to be found. We asked if we could be charged later on because she has our credit card on file, but she said no. The boss never showed so I had to go get cash. Honestly, unfortunate, because it was a good experience up until that point. If a new employee isn't fully trained, the manager should always be there. read more

I had full highlights today with a new girl, her name is Esther, although she did an OK job, I was floored when I reviewed my receipt at home, it had a bunch of charges with no explanation. I feel it was a bit excessive for the service I received, I can understand if I came out of a high end salon such as Vidal Sassoon in South Beach, but this is an Aveda salon at a Macys, so thumbs down for not explaining the breakdown of charges. I left a message for their manager, but the old lady never called me back. Even Tiffany who was suppose to do my hair this day flaked out the last minute, very unprofessional. I even texted her about the exuberant charges, but again, never even provided an explanation. This place is unprofessional and dishonest, please avoid! Update: just be forewarned that they do not have a website and no list of services with the corresponding price. They charge for service and products separately, which is pretty ridiculous, so a different price for example for the color and then they charge you for the product separately, so when you get your bill, it is pretty inflated! read more

This experience was one of the worst, and I have attached a photo so that you can know what to expect here. I originally had an appointment scheduled at a different Aveda salon, but they had a booking error and couldn't see me. In an attempt to help, they called around, and I ended up here. How unfortunate. Let me start by saying that I spent ten years of my life as a stylist and blonding was my specialty. This work is unacceptable, and no client has ever left my chair looking like this!!! It isn't that hard, and I didn't pay someone so that I could go home and fix it myself, thankfully I know how to. I called and texted this photo to the manager the next day and was offered a redo or refund. I fixed it that night, so I wanted my money back, if my hair gets botched somewhere, no way is that same place "fixing" it. I had to go back to the salon as they can not credit you without you being there, whatever. So I make the trip only to get denied my full refund ( I need to cover product and gratuity ) What a joke! What about the product I had to buy to fix it? They should cover that!!! So now I need to dispute the rest of my funds with the bank. Never pay before the service finished, even if the receptionist needs to go home and the stylist "doesn't want to be there all night" Regardless, this is poor quality work, lack of care, laziness, lack of skill, and overall poor customer service. I am Aveda client around the world, USA, Europe and Australia. I went for the first time at Aveda`s Macys inside the Galleria Mall. I went in January 10th, at 4pm. My hair is brown with hair-lights blond. I left the Aveda salon with my hair very blond, (like a poodle-almost white) with some parts orange. The professional used to much strong products - CHEMICAL products instead organic one - first my hair became black and to correct it he let my hair too blonde. MY SCALP BURNED AND MY YEARS TEARED when he did it. My hair became blonde (poodle) and some parts orange. Since that my scalp is sensitive and hurt. I am still losing hair, a LOT!!! My hair now is damage, TOO MUCH CHEMICAL products. I am a person that takes care a lot about my hair and never had a damage hair like I have now. Will take more then 1 year to recovery my hair. This place is WAYYY overpriced. All I did was get my hair dyed, cut real short & blow dried. It ended up costing $230!!! Plus, he then ended up using the shampoo/conditioner I got talked into buying for $50. He should have been using the store products on my hair for $230!!! After the buying of the shampoo it ended up costing $280! Not to mention the guy doing it took forever! I will NEVER go back there or to any Macy's again. My hair should be producing gold nuggets after that expensive, horrible service! read more

I got a new hairstyle tonight with Kelly, and I'm so happy with the whole experience. She's a sweetheart, and her personal sense of style is immediately apparent. I needed a change from a look I've had for about 4 years, and she understood what I would want after taking a few minutes to get to know me. I immediately felt comfortable, and I love my new cut. Great mani and pedi. I went in for a mani at 8:00pm, decided to add on a pedi, they close at 9pm and the tall guy with glasses from the front desk walks in at 8:55pm and says "I didn't know you were getting a pedicure we close at 9pm". He made me feel uncomfortable. I thought salons and spas loved when guests added on services. The 5 stars are for the good service from my manicurist. read more

Love that the salon reached out to me. I gave them second chance and enjoyed my experience. The third visit hmm... Set up the shellac pedicure and when i got there the lady that was supposed to take care of me informed that she doent do the shellac, the only reason why i agreed to regular pedicure was because the lady was waiting for me adter her regular work hours which i really appreciate and she did the great job on my toes. What a surprise was for me when i went to pay my bill and the lady at the front informed me that she needs to add to my bill an extra $10 because they had to remove the old shellac from my toes. (They dont charge for that service if u continue with the shellac). I didn't receive the service i wanted and had to pay for something that should be included, oh well i didn't argue and said anything(i dont fight for discounts and etc) so paid and left. And wont return again. Im not gonna give them 3rd chance. Found already another great salon that took care of my needs. read more

Finally!!! A stylist in Ft Lauderdale that knows how to cut long hair & the meaning behind "keep the length"! Gabriel is extremely talented and a true gem! He gave me everything I wanted and more. He transformed my long, heavy hair into a fabulous supermodel like masterpiece with lots of volume, layers and side swept bangs. I feel like a million bucks! His personality was warm and inviting and he kept me laughing the entire time! I am beyond pleased with the service and atmosphere of this salon, not to mention the price!! Where else can you get a wash/cut/dry/style for less than $50?? All of the staff members were attentive and friendly. The aesthetician even gave me a coupon for a discount off of a facial or wax. I came in looking to get my roots touched up. I told my stylist that my hair is currently double process color but it's like that as a result of a mistake. When I went from brunette to blonde 6 months ago, the stylist messed up and my hair came out very strawberry blonde like basically ginger. And then when I tried to get it fixed, the new stylist gave me platinum highlights rather than doing a single process. So that's currently what's in my hair. I said I hate the red but love the platinum so when you touch up my roots, please make it platinum. Well shocker, she either didn't listen or didn't know what she was doing because it came out bright red again. She tried to fix it by doing another single process color on top of it. It still looked ginger. So she's like I don't want to hurt your scalp with another full process but I can do platinum highlights. So I'm like sure if you think you can do it right this time. The highlights turned out well, but I still hate it because I can see the red very obviously in every strand that wasn't highlighted. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I appreciate that they tried to fix it and we're concerned for my scalp. And then she said that I should come back during the week and she'll give me a rinse to make it more platinum . And I'm like oh you mean the color I wanted to begin with? Of course not. I've already wasted 3 hours of my life and money for this mess, I'm certainly not giving you anymore of those resources. How hard is it to get platinum blonde hair? Especially considering my natural color is already dirty blonde. Whatever I won't be going back. read more
