Was hosting a women's group for coffee on a Wednesday morning so I arrived early to find the place PACKED! Oh boy. The line was incredibly long to order and there were no tables available inside. I quickly grabbed a picnic table on the patio which I saved before joining the line. The counter service was fantastic. Very friendly workers who accommodated my request to put 6 muffins in boxes so I could share outside with the group. Came in for brunch. Eggs are all over the menu but you apparently can't put one on the avocado toast? Asked nicely, got a flat no like I'd asked them to butcher a hog in the dining room. It's an egg. On toast. People order this literally every weekend. Then the cash tip thing. I've got my card out at the reader, bills in my other hand for the tip jar, and the response is "we don't take cash." Cool. Maybe look up from the screen long enough to notice the actual person standing there first. Whole thing felt less like a kitchen and more like an assembly line. If you can't add one egg to one piece of toast, you're not cooking, you're unwrapping and putting it on a panini press or grill. "Farm" in the name is carrying a lot of weight for food that never got near one. 2.5 stars is right, rounded up to 3. read more

First time and it was nice. Really huge space with an outside area also. Ordered a honey lavender latte with lavender cold foam on top. Thought it was going to be purple but it wasn't. Don't like that I had to pay a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. read more

Aveley Farms Coffee Roasters has been on my list and I'm so happy I finally tried it today. The coffee is smooth and while the vanilla is a little sweet, there's a perfect balance of flavor with every sip. The price is very comparable to other coffee shops. It's a lively coffee shop, with a ton of sitting and lots of individuals working. The employees were very nice, when I forgot to ask for my coffee to-go, they were so kind about it. I will say, my coffee definitely could have been filled up more. However, it was the perfect experience. On Mondays, I need a little extra energy and this coffee gave me the boost I needed! read more

I rarely find myself in Baltimore County anymore but I needed a place to set up shop and get work done between doctor's appointments and Aveley Farms was conveniently located and had a ton of space to work remote. It's a little confusing to find as it's located in a very normal looking office center. I totally missed the front entrance but there was plenty of parking in the back and I was able to enter from around back. The space is shared with Diamondback Brewing and has plenty of high tops, booths, couches, and tables to spread out. There weren't any gluten free options on the menu so I ordered the breakfast burrito with spicy chorizo and no tortilla. It was actually really good despite being a pile of ingredients. I also got the matcha latte with oat milk which was good too but not as sweet as I would've liked. I would love to see some GF alternatives added to the menu. WiFi was available and steady. The music and vibes were great. Everyone working here was friendly. I'm glad to see a locally-owned coffee shop in Baltimore County. I absolutely love the concept of having a brewery and café in one space it gives you the best of both worlds depending on the vibe you're going for. They had a few solid food options along with seasonal drinks that kept the menu feeling fresh and exciting. I do wish I had stopped by during the hours the brewery was open, but hey, maybe next time. The spot itself was very clean and filled with natural sunlight, which made the atmosphere feel warm and inviting. I checked out Aveley Farms / Diamondback Brewery for the first time -- cool spot with a nice vibe. The servers were pretty friendly; I grabbed a breakfast burrito, peanut butter toast, and an iced oat milk mocha. I came to work for a few hours, their internet is stable and there's so much space in here. Nice spot. Food and drink wise, The mocha was solid, and I appreciated the alt milk options. The toast itself was pretty good too -- great quality bread, though the bananas on top were very over ripe and slimy. As for the burrito, they were out of bacon so I got the vegetarian version, but it was missing avocado and some of the potatoes were undercooked, so not my favorite. Cool coffee shop with plenty of natural light and open seating. Came here today and got a hot chocolate and muffin. Great place to study, chill or work. After the coffee shop closes the Brewing Co stays open for those who like draft beers and such. Prices are reasonable and staff is nice. Clean bathrooms and plenty of outlets for all your technology. How have I not reviewed this place yet??? It's a neighborhood staple. I love Aveley Farms coffee, so when they opened this location for us West Towson/Lutherville Timonium folks I was pumped. Their pistachio latte has a chokehold over me. Their pastries are also always really good--anything creme brûlée and I'm IN THERE. It's spacious and super family friendly, perfect for grabbing coffee with friends, family, or even sitting solo and getting some work done. I haven't been in to check out their partnership with Diamondback Brewery yet, but it's on my to do list! read more

Based on the reviews below, I was excited to try Aveley Farms coffee as a quick stop while driving. It was just a few minutes off the highway, as I was passing by. Turned out to be kind of a mistake. The location is very much a "blink and you miss it" situation, but I eventually saw it and managed to find parking. There were only four people in line in front of me, but I think they didn't have enough staff - lots of people waiting on drinks, the cashier doing double duty also making drinks, but that happens. However, it took several minutes to order and then I waited. And waited. And waited. The ham and cheese croissant came out first and it was great! Toasted, loads of fillings, quite wonderful in fact. So you might say, "why such a low review?" Two things. It took over 20 minutes between getting in line and getting my coffee...I actually think it was 25. That's kind of astounding for a coffee shop. But worse, my coffee was terrible. It was burnt (not sure if that was the coffee or the oat milk) and the flavor syrup was either missing or just completely overpowered by the burntness. I know what you are thinking - why not say something and ask them to make it right? And normally I would have. But my 5-10 min coffee stop was at least twice as long, I didn't have anymore time, and honestly I wasn't sure that it would get better than that. I really hope my experience was a one-off, because it was such a cool location and vibe. read more

Really happy to have Aveley Farms Coffee in Timonium--it's become my go-to spot to work during the day. The coffee is great, and the space has a nice, relaxed vibe. This review is for their Empa's espresso beans only. I was disappointed. I love coffee, as you probably do too, but beans from different regions are very different, imo. It doesn't say where these beans are from, but if you like Colombian beans or Dunkin' Donuts coffee, you'll probably like Empa's espresso beans. To me, they are much too acidic and not dark roasted enough. I love low-acid coffee, like Sumatran. Imo, that's the most notable difference in beans - the acid content. Notes of chocolate, citrus, or other things are marketing baloney. If roasters just stated the acid level, it would be MUCH more useful. Coffee tastes like coffee, and it's either smooth with deep flavor or sharp and acidic, imo. Empa's espresso beans are the latter. read more

I visited Aveley for the first time last weekend after wanting to grab coffee there for a while. The space is shared between the coffee shop and a brewery, which means there's quite a bit of seating and different seating options (during the mornings when the brewery isn't open, you can sit at the bar, which seems a great place for working with a laptop or reading a book). The coffees we had were very good, and my husband enjoyed one of their breakfast options (he had their breakfast burrito, but they have toasts and pastries and many other options, too). Large open space plenty of seating. Breakfast burrito is very nice and moderately priced. The cappuccino Is served in smaller then typical European cafe and only fair. I think too expensive and don't get the raves about the roasted beans. It's just ok. What is so very annoying is it is a cashless purchase. Nice location with ample parking. Very spacious interior with a lot of seating. The cashier/barista was kind and provided quick service. It was tough deciding which latte to try (stuck between cookie butter, macadamia nut, or the seasonal special) but chose the cashiers recommendation of the macadamia nut latte. I didn't taste "nuttiness" per se, but it was still pretty good. I wish I got the cookie butter or seasonal special though. Next time! We were at Kaiser Permanente early one morning and needed a real breakfast. I don't know how I never noticed this place next door to Kaiser because we like to support a well run local business.
