    Melon drink
    Kendall B.

Large and bright cafe with ample options. Came here to meet a friend and had a pretty good experience. I decided to get a watermelon and black tea refresher drink as well as a breakfast sandwich. I wanted to get the mango lassi yogurt bowl but they were sold out (boo). The melon drink was outstanding and the breakfast sandwich was pretty good. They didn't have a list of their bagels, but the barista was happy to list them for me. After chowing down, I wanted a cold brew as well, so I grabbed a vanilla oatmilk cold brew. They also don't have a list of their syrups, so I had to ask the barista to list them for me. The barista asked if wanted ice in my cold brew, which I was a bit confused by, until I realized they only have nitro cold brew. The coffee was very smooth and tasted great. Ceremony ended up closing 5 hours early this day due to the heat wave and their AC not working, which was a bit of a disappointment.

Came for coffee and a light breakfast and had a great experience. The employees were friendly and food and drinks came out quick. Prices were reasonable. There was a variety of seating and we chose to sit along the windows. The breakfast sandwich was really good, especially the buttery biscuit it was served on. The coffee was enjoyable too. I will definitely come back if I'm back in the area.

Our party dropped in for afternoon coffee break. We ordered cappuccino, decaf Americano, and iced vanilla latte. The cappuccino tasted fine. The decaf Americano was weak. The latte was too sweet. The barista was friendly and quick. Prices were competitive. We probably won't return.

Right around the corner from the Enoch Pratt Library. Interior was spacious and well lit, low and high tables with plenty of seating. Loved their seasonal fall drink called hocus pocus. For those who can't handle dairy, this drink is perfect. You can get it either hot or cold, got the hot version and it was sooooo comforting on a cold windy day. It also has a hint of saltiness, which I really liked. Also ordered their turkey sandwich on sourdough and it was delicious! Fairly busy, but service was quick and the staff were friendly.

    Vanilla peach croissant

Loved the vanilla peach croissant and chai latte. Great atmosphere for socializing and working.

Decent coffee spot overall, parking was a bit of a hassle but not a dealbreaker. My cappuccino was ok, came out lukewarm which is a mayor no-no. Had I not been in a rush I would've sent it back. I may give them another chance when in the area. The staff seemed very nice and the establishment was clean and bright.

I've been here countless times over the last few years and it's always been a great experience. Sometimes I come for quick drink or other times I catch up with friends or study for a bit. It's definitely one of my favorite cafes in bmore. The staff here are extremely friendly! Genuinely have to stress the fact that they are so nice every time I've been there There are seasonal drinks crafted by the baristas and that's just such a cool concept. I try to stop by every season just to see what new things they have :) recently their banana praline latte was my favorite! There's also coffee beans you can buy and the Destroyer is my fav for sure.

I got one of their Summer Seasonal Drinks, the Beach Bum ($7.50), which was a banana coconut oat milk latte and it was delicious. It did take a while for my drink to be made, but they were busy. There were a lot of people working inside on their laptops and just chatting around. They do have outdoor seating that is dog friendly. There is a unisex bathroom in the back as well. I saw they had a room for workshops as well which I thought was cool. Street parking can be limited, but Ceremony is definitely worth the caffeine hook up.

I went two days in a row because it's a great place to get some work done. The coffee wasn't bad either.

I haven't been to this location since the pandemic so I've actually never been inside. Ceremony sells a lot of chemex items! This might be the biggest coffee shop in the city and maybe in all of the state and quite possibly all of America. I used to be obsessed with ceremony coffee when I first moved to Maryland, but now they are so many other coffee stores near me. The coffee here is always solid. I've actually never had anything to eat. Their seasonal teas are OK and their chai is pretty good. Do not get the apple cider espresso because it does not work, sadly. And I like orange and banana in my coffee. The staff here is really good at working quickly as there are so many patrons here. It's definitely a study vibe versus a chat and hang out type place. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they were a lot of people working.

Fantastic coffee shop in Baltimore. I came in for a marathon study session for NP boards and fueled it with a vanilla chai latte. It's one of the best chai's I've had in a long time. Not too "spicy" and not bland. Also not too vanilla-y. I then changed it up and got a hazelnut latte. Again, fantastic and beautiful art to top it off! The service was great, the place was clean, including the bathrooms. Now, there aren't a lot of outlets so come with full batteries just in case. That being said, they didn't seem to mind that I was there for 3 hours, whereas other places without a ton of outlets seem to do it purposefully and aren't fans of the WFH/study crowd. I didn't have the appetite to eat but everything I saw looked very fresh and tasty! I'm not in Baltimore often, but I'm definitely adding this to my list of go-to coffee shops!

My love of coffee and coffee shops led me to Ceremony Coffee Roasters while I was in Baltimore. This coffee shop was a short walk from my hotel which was in downtown Baltimore so even the walk there was pleasant. Upon entering there's a sense of open welcoming. The place is open and light with people studying, meeting or just enjoying the coffeehouse. They offer the standard coffee, coffee drinks, and pastries. However, was impressed with their supply of coffee accessories! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a Swedish bun. The Swedish bun was fabulous! Imagine cinnamon roll with cardamom! I love that they have a "workshop" area which I noticed in my way out through the back. Maybe my favorite was the beautiful ginkgo trees outside the coffeehouse....beautiful! The coffee was great and the service was even better. I was told I could purchase some of their coffee beans online but didn't see that I could. So, until next time!!!!

Beautiful interior! We sat near the back and the noise level was comfortable enough to have a conversation in. My drink was a seasonal coffee and it was delicious! I also enjoyed my breakfast sandwich.

During the winter, their seasonal drinks are some of the best around. Their pastry selection is fairly consistent, with croissants available daily, and they're always delicious. Every now and then they'll offer specialty desserts, which are my favorite. I've tried the sesame marshmallow cookie and the Japanese cheesecake, and both were absolutely delicious. I do wish they had a larger breakfast and lunch menu, but I don't believe they have a full kitchen. This place can get very busy, especially on weekends, and since they only have one espresso machine, the wait for drinks can sometimes be a bit longer. The only areas that could use some improvement are the staff and the cleanliness. Most of the employees are friendly, but there are a couple of seasonal workers who don't seem very welcoming. The shop can also be a little dirty at times and could benefit from more frequent cleaning. Overall, I love this coffee shop. It's small with limited seating, but if you're lucky enough to grab a table, it's the perfect spot to relax with a great cup of coffee and a delicious pastry.

Short answer: absolutely worth it!Long answer: I'm already thinking about my next excuse to come back. Walking in, the space immediately delivers. The aesthetic is awesome-- the kind of intentional, beautifully designed interior that feels warm and curated rather than staged. It's trendy without being cold, and the Inner Harbor location makes it that much more special. I know there is a huge renovation planned "down the harbor" , this Matriarch is ALREADY READY! You get all the energy of the waterfront with a cozy, tucked-in feel once you're inside. Now, the coffee. I got a latte that was genuinely one of the better cups I've had in a long time -- smooth, rich, perfectly pulled. I also had a Chai and paired it with a cherry & cheese danish that was fresh and delicious, the ideal complement to the drink. I asked for it heated and it was hot all the way through. Hate it when I get it and it is cold in the middle...the barista understood the assignment and got us right! Everything felt thoughtful, like someone in that kitchen actually cares about what they're putting out -- because they do. Speaking of which -- I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and it all made sense. Warm, passionate, and clearly proud of what they've built. Shirts, cups, napkins, and merch that says "I love my Matriarch" is a reminder of the "Why" behind this spot I think. That kind of energy flows through the entire space and staff. You feel it the moment you walk in. The Matriarch isn't just a coffee shop. It's a destination. If you're in Baltimore, this is a must. If you're outside the city -- make the drive. Trust me. See you soon, Matriarch!
