Updating my review since we still live here and there have been many changes in the community. First, I want to say that the new manager, Will has been an absolute gem. Not only is he one of the kindest people I've met in a long time, but it's also clear that he genuinely cares about the community and making it a better and more enjoyable place for everyone. Anytime we run into him in the halls or need to stop by the office he's always in a great mood and quick to help in any way he can. It's nice to have someone so dedicated to improving the property and the experience for residents. While there are still some cons to living here such as cleanliness in some of the common areas and the fact that the shared spaces are often unavailable on weekends because they're booked for private parties and events, it's reassuring to know that we now have someone managing the community who is clearly prioritizing improvements. I also want to highlight the new maintenance guys. I truly can't say enough good things about them. They are incredibly attentive and quick to respond when something needs to be fixed in your apartment, and they're genuinely kind people as well. It makes a huge difference knowing that issues are handled as quickly as possible. For transparency, the leasing agent who was previously known for being rude to applicants and unkind to residents still works in the leasing office. However, unless you are actively renting an apartment, you really don't have to interact with her. Overall, Will is doing a great job bringing in new team members and making positive changes throughout the community. The new Internet plan is terrible and they force you to use it for anything close to broadband speed. How it isn't a violation of AB 1414 is beyond my comprehension. read more

AVOID AVENTINE AT ALL COSTS At first these apartments seemed great. Clean nice and modern. However, we were sadly mistaken. My girlfriend and i moved in 12/22/2019 and have heard loud banging noises and what sounded like moving furniture coming from our upstairs neighbors. We called security and they came into our apartment at 1am and heard these loud noises and agreed that this is unnecessary. The office did nothing about this and made rude remarks such as "well this is apartment living you just have to deal with us" and "just be glad you dont live in an apartment that was build in the 80's like i did and can hear everything". There has been countless calls to security regarding noise (and police reports) and a lot of back and fourth, but in conclusion - Aventine staff is unprofessional, and upper management is no better! We moved out not 30 days later, and they won't waive our "lease break fee" of 2 months rent! There was even a police report i filed when these upstairs neighbors tried to get physical with me! Horrible company so please please please DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT LIVE HERE. You have been warned! read more

Read this before considering Aventine, these are our experiences as residents: (They will ask residents to give them 5 star reviews- so do not trust the good reviews) There are several reasons you should not rent Aventine apartments especially if you are a family. 1- This is NOT SAFE community for family. I think there is not a background check on new residents or they do not care. These are examples of why: - The first week we moved there we parked in a wrong parking spot next to us by mistake and at the morning not only a nasty, threatening note was on our windshield but also there was scratches all over our new car. When we showed it to manager and asked to check the cameras, they said we do not have it in camera even it was parked in front of the elevator camera. We were afraid to call Police too because we were family and did not want to make them more angry. - There is strong WEED SMELL always in hallways and the manager does not care even the apartment is smoke free. 2- As some other reviews mentioned the apartments are NOT SOUND PROOF properly. You can hear everything from your neighbors plus highway and train sound that are next to the building. 3- Most important thing is that the MANAGER DOES NOT CARE about anything after you move in other than money. We wanted to move out only a few months before our contract ends since we got new job somewhere else but they said we have to pay 4 months of the lease if we move earlier. It was even more than our lease so we kept the apartment empty. There are lots of other examples like this, for example there was a problem with our bank account when we moved in (I believe they enter wrong number and our deposit did not went through) We fixed it but they forced us to get money order each month and some months several times and not letting us paying online. - They will charge people as much as they can on move out. DO NOT TRUST MANAGER. She told us if we return the apartment clean they do not charge us. We had the apartment empty for 3 months and we cleaned it twice but they kept almost all our deposit. She said you were living less than 3 years so you should pay for painting. You should pay $100 since you were cooking in kitchen even when the apartment was empty for 3 months and no one used the kitchen. She also charged us $200 for cleaning for the apartment that was completely clean. Even on the pictures they sent us it is obvious that the apartment is so clean. After I complained they said you could be present for inspecting. But they did not say that never before inspection. I talked to them several times and told them I am coming to give them the keys and they asked me to drop them off and never mentioned I can be present at inspection. I had 3 months time to clean it 10 times more and not pay $600. but they prefer to charge you. 4- You NEVER CAN USE CLUB HOUSE on weekend since it is always reserved so do not count on it too. I should mention the apartments are nice but do not get fooled by that. You want to live in a place that is safe, peaceful with a manager that cares about residents. read more

Updated review: our stay at Aventine was great until we received an additional $400+ bill for cleaning services that we were never informed of. We left our apartment spotless, & was still charged in addition to our deposit for full cleaning, painting of walls, etc. This is the first time I have ever experienced this. For current residents please be aware that they will overcharge you. read more

Lived here for 2 years. Nice building but new property manager seems to get worse and worse. Someone stole my ID and cash in the building garage, but manager said they are too busy to investigate?! Repeated smokers in the public areas, printing facilities out of toner and/or paper over 50% of the times, people cluttering small furnitures in the garage for months, and I can't even remember how many times they had to fix the fire alarms. Manager has no control over the maintenance of common area. Not so baby friendly with frequent marijuana smell in the elevator and garage. read more
