I've had great experiences here. Everyone I have talked to who works here has been friendly and helpful, treating me with the attention and care that a lot of doctors or medical professionals do not. Very nonjudgmental and LGBTQ+ friendly in my opinion. They also have a good program for low income or unhoused patients. Also, I have never had to wait longer than a couple of days to get in to see a doctor, unlike other doctors offices where the wait can sometimes be over a month. read more

Was there for a SCHEDULED (sick) visit. Normally Dr. Garza is my primary but I was seen by Horvath who was extremely RUDE to me. She was extremely dismissive of my symptoms and did not want to provide me with a work excuse. The MA was the one who relayed that info to me. I then told the MA that I needed the excuse for work. MA then stepped out of the room and proceeded to tell Horvath. The rooms are not volume proof so you can hear everything outside. I heard Horvath say VERBATIM, "No. He's not even my patient; he's Dr. Garza's." She said it with much hate, anger and disgust. This made me feel like she dehumanized me and did not care for my sickness at all. She didn't even follow up or come into the room after she initially saw me which clearly meant she was avoiding me. The MA even saw me get teary eyed from how dehumanized I felt and I left the office in tears because of Horvath's words. I do NOT recommend Horvath AT ALL. She has no compassion and clearly only cares for "her patients." She succeeded made me feel like a nobody and did not care to come back into the room to finalize her findings/diagnosis. Avenue's presence and energy has always been appreciated at the UHD Health Fair; however, there was an issue that occurred at the most recent one. As a good practice, I take part in the STD screening that is offered. In March, the volunteer who collected the blood sample was not paying attention to the task at hand and did not use proper procedures causing cross contamination. As a result, I received a false positive result for syphilis. You can only imagine my horror. I was advised to visit the clinic in person for a full blood draw. I cancelled appointments and left work to do so immediately. While waiting to be seen, I was asked to complete a general screening questionnaire which I did. I was then sat in a patient room and told the doctor would be in soon. Before a doctor arrived, two other representatives visited without solicitation or authorization. They offered assistance and advice regarding alcohol use which was kindly denied. I was already reluctantly there for one thing and one thing only and under great distress. Of course, the results received over week later cleared my confusion and burden as I was told that did not, in fact, have syphilis. Moving forward, the insurance company denied payment for the $190 charged for the blood draw. I was also charged an additional $68 for the unapproved, unwanted, and unwarranted services they labeled as "alcohol screening/counseling". Moreover, the copayment that was made at the time of the services that were sought was not deducted properly. Numerous messages have been left with Aracely in the Heights location billing department over the past month to clarify the billing situation. I've left multiple messages asking for a revised invoice to reflect the $190 cost of the lab work less the $25 deductible which will be paid upon receipt. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a single call back. Although no one at the clinic has the time to answer the phone or respond to messages, they easily found the time to report me to collections for $192.15. I contacted the collection agency who put a hold on the account to offer more time for me to get situation sorted with the clinic. I've now sent correspondence in writing via first class and certified mail in hopes of a response. As a valued community partner of UHD, it is beyond disappointing to see such predatory and neglectful practices that are realized once a person is a patient. I'm out almost 200 bucks (equates to my grocery bill for two weeks) because the volunteers joke and play around more than they pay attention to proper techniques and practices. This doesn't even take into account the work time that was lost for the appointment and multiple attempts to remedy the billing issue, or most importantly, the desolation, bewilderment, and embarrassment I felt for over 10 days. I only hope that our students are treated with more conscientiousness and respect. I, for one, will not refer anyone to this organization again. read more

Honestly, no stars you just say that I went here last year for my pregnancy check up my first pregnancy ever. Dr. Randolph was so rude. Made me cry on my way home and ended up approving. I don't know how many testings I had already read about her, but I decided to go since I was already a month and just wanted to know what was going on with my baby. I ended up getting home crying that day crazy hysterically. I called days later to put a complaint on her, never got a word back and then I kept calling. I ended up calling them and asking them. Why did I have such a high bill of 1000 something dollars if my Blue Cross Blue Shield will cover they said it didn't cover it and I said OK well how many look at all these testes I did not approve of what do I do from here cause that's not my fault that's your fault they said that they would help me out they will pay for it. They didn't pay for nothing, I ended up getting an installment plan with Lab Corp $20 a month. I don't have any Medicaid. Nothing is coming out of pocket that was bigger from that office my new Not this happened December I kept calling each month sometimes they will answer sometimes they wouldn't. I will they never return my calls. I ended up talking to Aracely I ended up talking to.her and someone else and honestly no help at all either either she would tell me I'll call you back 20 minutes 30 minutes. I'm going with my boss to talk to her and I'll give you a call back and have an answer for you never never ever had to call back again until I finally was like he was going on this and that and now lab Corp made me go into credit me having to pay out of my pocket when I clearly told him that I would pay $20 each month. This is sad does not help you. They just rob you from everything make thing that they're doing something good when they're not very unprofessional, honestly they need to close this place down. And with my body and health in worse shape then I showed up. I've had TRT and hormone therapy for years and go here seeking help and it's been nothing but nonsense and them trying to charge me a 500 dollar bill for absolutely nothing? One of the doctors increased my blood pressure medication from 10 to 40 mgs twice a day and didn't send the right script over and I ran out in the middle of this increase and I've felt so off and sick and dizzy and I've been calling for over a week and magically can't get anybody on the phone or any help just excuses. I have been a patient of Ave360 for over twenty years, and this is a very sad story; if I did not love my Doctor I would go somewhere else. I moved to Oregon 2 & 1/2 years ago, but moved back to Houston recently due to circumstances beyond my control. I decided to go back to Ave360, because I had only had a few issues with their service, but they could always be resolved. Since my return in November 2022 it has been an entirely different story. This is the most unprofessional medical practice I have ever experience. They do not, for the most part, answer incoming calls. You have to leave a voice mail, and hope for a call back. Their receptionist are rude and unconcerned with any of the patients needs. Their social workers do not take appointments, you must simply come in and hope they will see you, and if they cannot for any number of reasons, you have to come back and try again. The wait time for dental, psychiatric, or medical help is anywhere for 4 to 6 weeks, and the time between appointments is just as bad. The CEO is Dr. Flash (no pun) and her ext. #380, but is answered by Myra (gate keeper). Dr. Flash does not seem to ever be in her office; you can only speak to Myra, but she is inclined to hang up on you. The only way to get Dr. Flash's attention is to send an email to cflash@ave360.org, and I strongly suggest everyone with a problem do just that. My last resort will be, to suggest my beloved Doctor move to another practice so that I can continue to see him, but that appointment is another month away. Go figure. My review is no different than others posted, unfortunately! I have been a client of this clinic for approximately 15 years and I have received above average healthcare for the majority of the time. In the past two years the attitude and actions of the employees has degraded to the point of being neglectful and abusive. I was invited by a physician from another clinic in his move to avenue 360 (15 years ago) and was happy to do so, as I found his medical practice to be superior. This physicians demeanor in person is still very professional and competent but from a relayed response is demeaning and uncaring. A majority of the employees in his nurses station are at best questionable and are so two faced it's unbelievable, employees at the front desk aren't far behind. Very top heavy management is obvious and the ability to accept responsibility non-existent. It doesn't please me to expose their vulnerabilities but clients health and ease of access is of utmost importance. I wish I'd read the reviews about this place before I went. I traveled 30 min. and spent over an hour at this "facility" all to have some pompous disrespectful healthcare person (cause professional she was not) walk out and refuse to provide the procedure. I practice as a doula and steadfast on advocating for my reproductive rights. After being seen 20-25 min after my appointment time this person took offense to me saying I was cold. Then she began asking questions I'd already answered. She had handwritten questions on a legal pad. It was a document or form. Who does that?? How could I be comfortable with your questions and you're just going to jot them on some pad? After I answered the question she posed and stated the my feelings in regard to invasive questions and their pertinence to my procedure the person got an attitude and tried to chastise me. I responded by saying ma'am I answered your questions but I'm within my right to express my feelings. She tried to bully me into submission saying if I don't wanna anger the questions she won't do the procedure and I can schedule with someone else. I stated no I came here and have waited for this procedure. I didn't wish to wait again. After starting this she tried to chastise me again to which I responded I've answered your question despite my discomfort can we move on. As I was stating this she got up collected her things and closed the door in my face. In response I came out of my room and asked for the office manager. After watching this person walk around, opening and closing examination doors for about 10 min I decided to leave. As I was leaving she knew she'd been caught and only then did she seek someone out. Then she tried to lie!! I spoke to someone who admitted my wait had been entirely too long for such a simple procedure and supported my statements about my rights and being able to state my feelings. That was the only positive aspect I can point out during this visit. I have submitted an incident report and will be going to the board. read more
