Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. The bonus points is that it is steps away (literally just outside) to the metro and only a short 30 minute ride to the airport (via metro) and only a few minutes away from the city. The property is beautiful and the breakfast is phenomenal- perhaps my favourite part of my stay here. Staff are friendly, welcoming and the check in process was quick. I was able to leave my luggage here and take the metro to the city (only 7 minutes to the main station). If I wanted, I could've paid an extra fee to check in earlier too and get a bigger room but I decided not to. The room was quite small, yet comfortable and nice. The washroom was also nice and I really appreciated the cleanliness of both the room and the facility itself. I love the design of the place, and the breakfast area. I love the concept of juice on tap. The juice selection was top notch. I also enjoyed the wide selection of breads, pastries and a good mix of savoury and sweets for breakfast. Breakfast is at an additional fee but if you book in advance when booking your room, it may be cheaper than getting it once you arrive. Wifi worked well and was fast. I would recommend and stay here again if I'm ever in Copenhagen. For the price though, it's a bit high but convenience and cleanliness is what I was looking for, and I got both. The next morning, I only had to walk a short distance to get to the free shuttle bus that takes you to the cruise port.

We had a room facing the sun all afternoon and upon entering in the afternoon, the room was 30+ degrees. (No a/c in this hotel). There's a step going into the bathroom which is a toe/ankle ender, and at night in the pitch black is crazy dangerous too. The outlets are mostly not working, and poorly placed all over the room in the most useless places. Bed is crazy firm, pillows as well. Elevator fits 4 ppl MAX at a time and is always full. The city is not an inexpensive place, and I was a bit surprised to find anywhere for the price they offer. That it isn't smack on top of the public trans is a pest, perhaps, but it's a short cab ride to drop your luggage if you don't feel like going the two block walk from the nearest bus stop, and the place is usually quiet, which I found frankly refreshing. The cost includes linen, if not a towel, a key card that grants access to your room and your personal locker which obviates the need of bringing a lock, and there's an add-on option for a cheap all-you-can-eat breakfast [I had a lot of muesli and hot tea]. The rooms and bathrooms both were spotless when I stayed, and the hot water was plentiful. They did -not- have a kitchen which troubled me a bit, but they'll allow you to bring food from outside, just not alcohol.

If carrying or wearing luggage, it's far too long a walk, I would suggest a bus. Once you've lightened your load it's possible to walk the city, but I'd still want to get back to the area before dark. The route to the hostel is through quiet side streets in a not-so-great area of town. Once you find the place, check in takes forever. When you get to your room, you're affronted with 3 bunk high beds and lockers that are noisy and faulty. I was unlucky enough to get a bed on the top, which was incredibly hard for me to get to because I'm not exactly tall. I was afraid to take cold medication because there was no guard rail of any kind, nor was getting down any easier than getting up. The bed felt rickety, the mattress was uncomfortable and the room was loud. The internet didn't work at all in the room. For that matter it didn't really work anywhere else very well either. And then there's the bathroom. It always stank, the floor was always covered in water. The showers had nowhere to put/hang your clothes or towel. The doors were always open, both the one leading into the hostel and the one leading outside, so there were often bugs. The toilets often didn't even work. Traveling expensive countries is nothing new to me. The price of this hostel was faaaaar too high for it's quality, regardless if it's Denmark.

I wouldn't if I were you…read more I attempted to book a room in July 2026, but because it was a Copenhagen charge on my card, and I live in the U.S., I received a fraud alert from my card. This is normal. However, since I was trying to book a room to last over a week in August, I did not want to have a double charge so I called my credit card and I told them it was an attempted charge but not to put the charge through . They did not. I have no record of paying anything to any booking site or to Scandi to secure any reservation. However, when I arrived in Copenhagen on 8/21 and checked into the other hotel "the Square" across the square that I booked on another card after I had cancelled the reservation attempt on the previous card, Scandi improperly charged my card $304 without warning. I walked over to their hotel that day and had two fairly rude and dismissive conversations with front desk clerks wherein they basically told me that their records indicated that I made a reservation and that I did not appear so they charged me $304 for a day stay. They claimed they had no control and it was Expedia. Here's the fraud: I never used expedia to attempt to make the booking and have no written evidence whatsoever a booking was made. None was. This is fraud. There is no record of my having paid any third party booking site or Scandia for any reservation. And ask yourself: why would I maid two reservations elsewhere if I had a reservation. at Scandi? There is no record of any third-party or Scandia telling me via email or in any form of writing that there was a reservation. There was none. There were no emails telling me about my impending stay because there was no stay scheduled. Scandi had the audacity to only agree to refund my credit card, when working with my credit card company to resolve this amicably, the princely sum of $2.98. Unfortunately, I'm the wrong person you try to pull this nonsense on. I will pursue this until I reach financial satisfaction - which I will. I will not be cheated. I will also be contacting the two principle government offices with the Danish authorities about this. I add this: in response to my credit cards' inquiries, Scandi produced no documentation or any proof of a made reservation, no proof a confirmation to me the reservation was made, no reminders in advance of any impending reservation or any proof of the holding of any such reservation. It simply kept the money and now has disrespectfully and fraudulently refunded me $2.98 back.

From giving us a small tour, taking us to the elevator and someone waiting in the cold to help us park the rental, these people are just awesome. I personally thought the people we encountered in our short stay were very sweet. People smiled back :D that does not happen at home. LOL. P.S parking is $40 USD The rooms are even more beautiful in person. We got a basic room because it was a short stay and our flight was the next day at 12PM. The water was warm compared to what we were using the days prior in Italy. The bed was A+. There's a stocked mini fridge and a couple of snacks (not free) but it helps for any midnight munchies. We ended up driving up to Mcdonald's. Hear me out... If you feel like the chicken nuggets have never tasted the same than before in the US, TRY IT OUT IN COPENHAGEN.
