The hotel lacks basic modern amenities like -USB plugs @ table and bedside or anywhere -Espresso maker (they had a kettle but all the coffee was decaf) -complimentary bottles of water (walk to gas station next door for this) -they don't answer the phone if you call from upstairs, when u come down its a. Endless trickle of people checking in. It is fairly dated. Pillows are a bit flat and carpet run down and my rooms were 2525 & 2527, family walk through room but we had to go and ask them to unlock it for us. After all the covid lockdown and finally traveling with the kids- wish we were given or offered a room with the view. Even number rooms would have the city center and wate views. We faced an interesting country and housing view. Breakfast was really good for European buffet although coffee line insane and you need to find someone to bring u a basic carafe of coffee for the table and mention you want milk and sugar or it will not come with. Short staffed for how busy it was. The good is a variety eggs were offered. My husband happened upon some fried eggs. The yogurt bar was great esp. good with the variety toppings like sweet cubed coconut. It all ends at 10am in the Felini Restaurant. Also they list a Japanese restaurant called Kyoto-in the elevator and signs everywhere but - it NO LONGER exists. Go to town and maybe eat at Wagamama or the in House Thai Restaurant. There were 8 of us here- it was all right for basic hotel stay.

Stylish hotel overlooking Copenhagen. The bar serves up delectable snacks and welcome drinks. The rooms are well maintained and appointed. Lighting is odd. The master iron switch turns on almost all of the lights including end table and desk lamps. Would prefer those on a separate circuit to control mood lighting. Otherwise, I am enjoying my stay here

Water filling up in the shower/tub because the drain can't keep up with it.

Pros: The Radisson Blu hotel itself was fine. The staff were amazing, Oana at the front desk, Daniel, Marcus, Pedro (makes the best mojitos) and Kristian at the bar. Can't say more about them than they were all friendly, helpful and fantastic! I would come back again just because of the people, who made the difference. Breakfast was excellent too, an amazing spread and options of foods and beverages! Cons: We had to check in hours later than our normal check in time because the rooms had not yet been cleaned. There seems to be a shortage of cleaning staff to keep up with the people coming and going. The shower/tub has a slow drain and cannot keep up with the water from the shower, so you are standing in about 6in of water after 10min in it. The hotel lacked in it's quality of food. Filini Italian restaurant was horrible, the chefs need to be sent to Italy or trained by an Italian chef who knows how Italian food is made and presented if offering an Italian menu.

When we checked…read morein, we had the most wonderful chat with the front desk lady (I lost my note, but I think her name is Miriam). She told us so much of the history of the hotel, so it just made the stay more special. It started as a safe place to stay for sailors and morphed over time to become what it is. She shared her knowledge of sites to see. The location was absolutely 5*. Look out the window and you see a postcard view of Copenhagen that everyone thinks of. The room itself wasn't fancy like a Ritz, but the cozy boutique atmosphere makes up for all that. The room was nice and clean, had a comfortable bed, lots of windows that open up to fresh air. It turned out there was a downside to that as well. People were out all night, so we could hear all the drunken singing in the street through the night, but that was not the fault of the hotel. Maybe the beer brewers, but not the hotel.

The most important feature of a hotel is a comfortable bed and quiet room. We were pleased when we had rooms facing the inside courtyard (instead of the noisy street) but very early in the morning, we were rudely awaken to sustained loud clattering over cobblestones. The next most important feature is wifi internet: the wifi internet was spotty and kept dropping for 1.5 hours and then went down completed for over 1.5 hours and then we gave up; we reported it and it was not fixed. We stayed in 5 hotels across 5 cities in 3 countries and this was the worst hotel considering the cost. Their cancellation policy was not aligned with the other hotels (2 day cancellation vs. 1 day or same day cancellation). We stayed here based on the stellar reviews but were very disappointed. The hotel is located right on the Nyhavn canal in the heart of what had to be the most touristy area. It is a haul to get to the Little Mermaid or any good food. The beds are comfortable with a teeny bathroom (what you might expect on a cruise) with no counter space. There is 1 small Sony TV in 1 room with very little storage space. The included breakfast was good with cheese, cold cuts, cereals and breads (but in comparison to the other 4 Scandanavian hotels it was actually the least varied and Spartan). Don't make the mistake of staying here. You can get a better quieter hotel for the money!

It was my favorite place we…read morestayed on a recent two-week European vacation touring Denmark, England and Ireland, including another hotel in Copenhagen. From the quaint, secluded entrance (which looks like it is on an alleyway but it was an actual street!) to the plant-filled, cozy courtyard to the room to the common areas, I was so impressed with this historic yet contemporary property! It was our first night in Europe, and to say we were jetlagged from our eight-hour transoceanic flight is putting it mildly. But as soon as my head hit the pillow on the comfortable bed I was off to la-la land! And the breakfasts! Oh the breakfasts! Absolute best and most elaborate and varied breakfast of the trip! I have never before or since seen such an assortment of foods and beverages, including cereals, hot foods, salads (yes, salads!), cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, you name it! And the coffee was divine! You got your own pot at your table. And the service was extremely attentive and friendly. Also they had a free happy hour from 4 to 6 with wines, beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages that was just divine. They even helped us find free surface parking, next to impossible in downtown Kobenhavn! They also recommended a great restaurant district only a block or two walking distance away! The staff also spoke impeccable English and were quick with a smile or to answer any questions you had. The only slight complaint was how small the guest room (and especially bathroom therein) was, and the fact that there were some stairs and a pretty tiny elevator, but only by US standards as I later learned. You have to realize these cities and many of the buildings in them are hundreds of years old! In summary, to say I'd like to return soon to the Kong Arthur Hotel is putting it mildly!

Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. It's a beautifully decorated hotel, with lovely rooms and an excellent location.

We booked both as wheelchair accessible and while the Marriott has textured bathroom tile floors unlike the St Annæ's slippery smooth tiles, the lower than ADA allowed toilet was a problem. Also only one of the four table lamps worked. The room's door closer and threshold made egress very difficult. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good but subpar to the local hotel's. The location is pretty along the harbor, next to BIG's swimming and sauna chalet, and they provide robes and towels for daring guests. However, it is 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station and city center. There is a hotel restaurant, but no other restaurants nearby within 15 minute walk. This is fine for the summer, but inconvenient in sub-zero temperatures (1/2 star off). I stayed here in February, so found myself rather trapped unless I take a taxi everywhere.

When our baggage and we, by extension, were…read moredumped in the middle of the street by the taxi driver who transported us from the ship, we were dismayed to discover they have no bellmen and no luggage trolley. The entrance to the hotel is up three stairs. A very kind man carried the large bags I was struggling w/ while Alan was inside. Had he not, it would have been difficult for us to manage. But that is the only negative. The front desk staff here have been unfailingly helpful, no matter what we've asked. We were checked in and the lovely young woman who helped us said our room might be ready before 2:00PM but she couldn't promise. At that point it was about 9:40. She took our luggage to store for us and we sat in the lobby in comfortable Swan chairs to rest. In the lobby is a beautiful pool w/ a blue glass bottom and a large yellow rubber ducky floating in it. A fish-ladder-like fountain feeds the pool. No more than 20 or 30 minutes later she told us the room was ready and directed us to room 316. We stepped off the elevator on the third floor to see photos of Coleman Hawkins, Miles Davis and other American jazz musicians from their Copenhagen days in the 1960s. I felt immediately at home. We brought our luggage up and w/o unpacking, took a nap, then went out to explore. They keep our room keys and their heavy holders on hooks while we are out. From the beginning, the staff associated us w/ our room number, bringing out our key as soon as we walked in the door. The staff made several restaurant recommendations and wrote out directions for Alan for ATMs and a pharmacy. The helpful things they did were too numerous to recount in detail. Danish design is exquisite. When I was growing up the furniture we had was called Danish Modern and I love it still. The elevator doors are works of art, as are the toilet paper holders. In addition to the Swan chair Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg chair. When I was at Cal in the 60s there was a Scandinavian furniture store on Telegraph called Fraser's. They had an Egg chair, probably in blue or green or orange. I used to go down there periodically just to sit in it. The hotel has an Egg chair in a a little room w/ an iPad attached. It's a soft brown and is as lovely as I remember it. The bed is comfortable w/ twin duvets like the hotel in Vienna had. Over the bed hangs a triptych, a photo of Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins in 1967. There is a long, convenient desk w/ plugs on the wall at the end for charging devices. Wifi is free, fast and reliable. The phone is angular and a work of art. The room is large and comfortable. There are two Swan chairs and I'm sure the desk chair has a name. There is a sign encouraging you to hang up bath towels if you don't want them washed and they don't take them if you hang them up. Breakfast is included, a buffet w/ scrambled eggs and bacon, two loaves of bread to cut, one of them the dense whole grain bread I love. There are also baskets of pastries which look delicious, but I could never get past the bread to try them. A cold section holds several delicious cheeses, ham, salami, paté, orange wedges, fruit salad, yogurts, cereals and melon slices. Coffee, teas and juices are also available. I loved the cheeses and ham, preferred the orange wedges to the fruit salad and enjoyed the Greek yogurt. On the TV quietly played a video featuring the music and photos of Miles Davis, Ray Charles, John Coltrane, Oscar Peterson and Dexter Gordon. It was a pleasure to watch. It was a generous breakfast buffet to pick and choose from. I'm sorry we will be leaving too early for the airport tomorrow to enjoy it. We had a lovely stay here and I would recommend this hotel.

You'll get a first-hand experience of what it feels like to sleep in an NYPD precinct booking room. Addendum: Since posting this review the evening of check-in, there's more to share. The next morning when I woke up and took a shower, when I retrieved a "fresh" towel from the neatly-folded pile I noticed a disgusting brown streak just before putting the towel to my face. I'm not a finicky traveler and can put up with a lot, but there are just some things that a hotel has to get flawlessly right every single time. Providing guests towels that don't have brown stains is one of them.

It's set up with a clean design that's very photogenic/Instgramable. They have a variation of chocolates made from cacao beans from Ecuador to Indonesia and a café that serves all kinds of mostly chocolate-y drinks and desserts. And for all the jokes about me being obsessed with chocolate, everyone was pretty involved in browsing through this store. I got the "Ice Cream of the Gods", which is a very soft serve in a cone and the option for either a chocolate or a salted caramel drizzle. And it's so GOOD. Even my dad, who was skeptical about spending money on something so simple, said it was worth it after having a taste. Translated from Chinese, the consensus was that it you could really taste the milk, which made it sweetly rich rather than richly sweet. We also happened to be there between the times they were switching out samples, so we got to try the Billionaire Shortbread Chocolate Selector (caramel, cookies, and hazelnut) and a dark chocolate bit that I didn't get the name of. In hindsight, I deeply regret that I didn't get the Billionaire Sundae, a dessert based on their Billionaire Shortbread Chocolate Selector truffle. Overall, super nice and really wish we could have hung around longer, even sit down and try out more menu items. If nothing else, drop in for a free sample, but just from what I tasted, I'd say it's worth it to make this a short stop.
