I was lucky to get an appointment in the same week, I was monitoring the website looking for openings since I was desperate after the long lockdown. When I arrived, I had to text a number and someone came to get me from inside the salon. They were great about physical distancing and covid safety measures with clear dividers between each salon chair and hair washing stations. Droudy was excellent, she was gentle and patient and was able to understand exactly what I wanted even with my less than optimal descriptions. I told her I cut my hair myself and she said she would be able to fix it and clean it all up for me. She also took her time to explain what exactly she was going to do by showing me the back of my hair and explaining what would look best. The whole experience was very therapeutic and exactly what I needed. Even after she blow dried my hair, I asked her to cut the front pieces a bit shorter and she was happy to accommodate. She also asked me if I was ok with all the products she was using which is something no other hair stylist has ever asked before - small touch but I really appreciated it. I will 100% be returning to Civello to see Droudy for all my future hair appointments!!

The new location is even closer to the subway exit at Ranleigh. They were at a different spot on Yonge street before. This location now is larger, on the ground floor & more open. I love it. The front of the salon has shelves with the products they sell. It also serves as the reception area with two chairs & a desk where their receptionist is. Then beyond that you will see the salon chairs where all the cutting & hair colouring takes place. In the middle of the first floor are the basins for washing peoples hair. There's a space behind the basins with a big long table where the manicures get done. Then at the back of the salon is a single bathroom. I've been told the facials & massages get done on the lower level. I haven't been down there yet but I'm booked for a facial in three weeks so I'll update my review afterwards. Traci cut my hair on this occasion & I asked her to cut it shorter than usual. She washed my hair & then the cut itself took about 40-25 minutes. We chatted during the cut. I haven't been to the salon since October 2020 because of covid. Traci did an amazing job on me as usual. Since it was super humid & hot the day I came I asked for no blow dry. So she just added some styling product to my hair & I was ready to go! I got some hydrating hand sanitizer to try & asked about the NuFace machines. They gave me lots of info on NuFace which is a microcurrent machine used to help improve your skin. They use it in their facials too. I'm going to save up & get one in the future. Anyway I really recommend this place as they are eco-friendly. They also have great service, great staff. Love the way their salon looks too. Expect to pay for quality. This is not one of those places that charges $12 for a haircut. For me their prices are totally worth it as my whole experience here from start to finish is golden. Their products being eco-friendly are pricier than drug store finds too. But if eco-friendly & non-toxic is important to you this is the place to go to.

I started with virgin black Asian hair with the goal of an ashy-but-still-yellow blonde with shadow roots. I also got a haircut, so the entire process took 6 hours, practically from opening to closing lol Ai was very meticulous and took care to apply bleach and everything carefully all over the place. I wore a mask during this process and was a bit worried it may interfere with hair around my ears, but it was actually okay! The end result was a bit ashier than I requested, but it was because as I wash my hair (using blonde shampoo as suggested, not purple shampoo) it would get more yellow. My hair defiantly did feel drier afterwards but that was to be expected. It definitely wasn't as dry as I thought it would be haha I also got an Oleplex treatment there. The total for my hair cut + bleaching + balayage colour and shadow roots + treatment + tax + 20% tip was about $700! It's a lot, yes, but I do think it was a very nice job! I admit that I don't think the shade I chose suited me too well LOL but I hadn't asked Ai for a colour recommendation, so entirely my bad. As the colour "faded" and became yellower, I think it actually suited me a bit better. However, the colour didn't differ too strongly from initial appointment to 6 months later. The shadow roots were really well done and blended in with my natural root growth super well and unnoticeable. The second appointment I had was 6 months later, as Ai had recommended for the health of my hair lol this time I had Yasuka since Ai was unavailable. I had the goal of a more pink or pink-peach shade because I thought it would suit me more, plus some dark pink-ish shadow roots. I consulted with Yasuka for her colour opinion this time too! The total process took about 5 hours total. Yasuka was very meticulous with her root application to avoid breakage at the areas that were previously bleached. I still wore a mask throughout this appointment, and it defiantly got in the way of a few stray hairs around my ear that got a bit less love from the colouring process. However, I don't think it mattered too much because the end result was really nice! According to Yasuka, this was actually her first time doing pink on someone haha but it was really good! It was much more of a darker pink that expected, but it would fade quickly with each wash since pastel/pink colours don't hold too well in general. I also got an Oleplex treatment this time too, while Yasuka also commented that my hair was dry AF and I should use a hair mask (I'm sorry I didn't use one this whole time). The total for my long roots touch up + colour and shadow roots + treatment + a tub of 007 keratin hair mask for home use + tax + 20% tip was about $550! A bit less than last time but still a lot, however I love the colour so much more! I will admit I got some pink dyed pillows from possibly excess dye on the back of my head that didn't get fully washed. The darker shade was very nice and I think it suited me quite well! After the first wash, it pretty much instantly went to a light pastel pink/peach and after a 2nd wash it's actually held at about the same colour so far. I'm liking the pink/peach and hoping to get a pink hair mask to keep it pink-ish. Overall, I've had quite a positive experience from Seefu! I think the staff are all very knowledgeable and do a great job with your hair. The prices are indeed a bit high, but a lot of the salons in the area are similar price based on quotes I got from the area. I would recommend Seefu for y'all asian girlies looking to do blonde colours!

I narrowed down based on the best reviews possible and the nearest location. I ended up picking this place! I was able to get a consultation and drove by. The place look amazing! Everyone was so nice. They offered some hot tea or coffee to drink if i needed but i was okay. It was sweet of them though! Before i did the hair coloring session, i had to pay a deposit to ensure my spot for the day then when i'm done completely, i pay the remaining amount. I forgot whom i spoke to but i wanted an ash brown balayage. The lady said my hair is too long and dry and probably would cost anywhere near $600+. She suggested i go for a dark caramel brown since if we go for ash brown, it might take two session. My hair inspiration picture was a little lighter so i agreed and went with the hairstylist's idea. We set out the price as $400+ instead since i had a conversation with my mom and we mutually agreed i'd have my hair cut before we do the actual process. I wasn't sure if i'm allergic to any of the hair products they use including the bleach involved. She kindly put some of the bleach on my arm and said if i don't feel any reaction then i'm good, if so, i'd have to call her to let her know. I didn't have reaction, it was good to go. The hair process took about 4-6 hours. We did the bleaching session, which was an hour (i think). The shampoo and conditioner, was just few minutes. After that, we then put the color in and let it rest before we wash that out. It was such a crazy experience to see my color going from black to light blonde for the bleaching part! The hairstylist blowdried and curled my hair. It looked amazing! I find the price quite expensive but it was worth it! I gave her tip as well before leaving the place. My balayaged hair lasted almost 2 years. There was no orange strands which some people did went through when having colored hair, i didn't get it! I was able to wash normally as i would. Otherwise, lovely experience! PS: this happened in 2019 before covid!

I…read moretried to find a substitute colourist and stylist elsewhere for my long blonde hair which only received compliments when GINA started to do my colour and styling. I tried a few local salons and instead it became brassy and dull. I got lucky and found out that GINA joined Haartek which is a lovely salon and in the same neighbourhood. I recommend this place and GINA for colour, styling and top notch service! Couldn't be happier!
