I selected a salon specialist and he did a regular job. A trainee would have done the same. Ended up paying 88 dollars for a simple haircut

When I first walked in I was greeted a bit abruptly. I was told to take off my sandals but there…read morewas no slippers to put on. There was a bin of used dirty slippers on the side and the entrance look dirty and a bit runned down by foot traffic, was a bit annoyed that I had to put my just out of the shower feet on a floor that had outside shoes. The room I was taken too had drips of some liquid on the floor and a garbage can that was so full it spilled over onto the floor. Wasn't sure if the table linen was changed before I got there. The lady that gave me a massage was entirely pressing too hard and I got hurt several times, no, a lot during the entire session, inspite the fact that I repeatedly asking her to be more gentle, or I said ouch that hurt, or I just visibly kept flinching. Then, twice she fell asleep while massaging me. The rubbing slowed all the way down to a stop, abd then she was trailing off to one side of my body, and then she would catch herself and begin massaging again. This happened like 3 times. Finally I asked "are you alright?" and she came too and played it off and said "oh I was just trying to be very gentle since you're so sensitive. Ya, OK! I paid for the aroma therapy massage and what that ended up being was that she rubbed lavender oil on her hand and put her hand up to my turned down face under the table and said breathe deeply in and out three times. OK! Then she sat at the head of the table to begin massaging me, and my head was continuously pressed into her bosom and belly, very weird and uncomfortable. At one point there was some rough skin or piece of nail or hang skin that was occasionally scraping my body along with the feeling of the coarseness of her forearm hair when she massaged me with her forearms for a minuteor so. I don't know if this lady was a licensed masseuse or not, "I'm leaning towards NO", but it sure felt like she was winging it. Didn't really get a neck, hands, or feet rub, and the legs and arms was too short of a rub as compared to my back. My back took up most of the time. For Someone sensitive like me, I'd think a professional would know what to do to get around that and make sure I got a fantastic experience, but it was quite the opposite. I'm a pretty small lady, 5'7" at 111 pounds, and I was so sensitive because I've had a hard life and has been through a lot, like a lot of us have. Whether youre small like me, inbetween, or bigger, a professional knows how to get the job done and give an evenly distributed massage. The place could have been cleaner for my liking, the vibe was not inviting, and the professionalism and expertise was grossly lacking. NO, I would not recommend this place to anyone i know, and NO, I will never return to this establishment first any of their services.

I found this place on google and I called in, asking if they could hair colour my hair the day I…read morecalled. She said that she would fit me in at 3:45pm and squeeze me in with Lauren. I asked how long it would take, and she told me around 2 hours. I was satisified with that, and when I came in, I was late (arrived at 4:00ish) They were busy till about 4:30 and sat me around that time. I told them what I wanted, showed them a bunch of pictures of the colour I desired. It was a redish purple colour. After Lauren applied the dye on my hair, she had another client that she worked with, I didn't mind waiting since I did call in the day of my hair colour. She told me that the dye will take 45 minutes to process. So I waited 45 minutes... then 50 minutes... then an hour... then an hour and 10 minutes... She was still working on the other client and my hair was still getting processed. After it being 6:15, she finally got one of the hair stylist in the salon to wash my hair. At this point, I just thought, "why squeeze a client in when you are CLEARLY busy and full and have no time and space for another client?" Then after Lauren blowdried the hair, my roots were close to the colour I showed on the picture. BUT the rest of my hair was ORANGE!!!! Nothing close to the picture I shown. At this point, I was just over with this whole salon. I had no patience left and Lauren said that the bottom part wasn't red enough (clearly) and she offered to do a semi-permanent colour on the ends tomorrow or another day. I just nodded my head and couldn't believe this. I had a vacation planned the day after for 2 weeks, so I couldn't get my hair fixed before then. I'm just so disappointed with this salon, I had high hopes. She told me it'd be 2 hours, it ended up being more than 3 hours for just my hair colour. Over processed my hair. My hair turned out NOT EVEN CLOSE to the colour I requested. Overall, WILL DEFINITELY NOT return to this place and DO NOT recommend going here. Save your money. I can't believe I paid 110$ for this type of service.

I don't normally bother with reviews, but I wish I had read about this salon along time ago saving me alot of frustration and changing stylist after stylist. A friend of mine referred me to Salon and the CIty after having a bad experience somewhere else. When I called for an appointment, the girl was very accomodating to the times that worked best for me. I told her that I needed something as quickly as possible and she did her best to find me something that worked. The stylist that did my hair took time to ask me questions about my hair and what i was looking for. She also was very good at giving me some new options and didn't just do whatever. I found that she was really good at choosing colours that i probably would have never chosen myself, but she actually gave me reasons why the colour would work. I have really fine hair, and I was really glad when she gave me some helpful at home tips for working with my hair type. I think what I liked the most, is that she also suggested products to me that work with my hair-THAT ACTUALLY DID WORK!! Not one person in that Salon pushed any product or service on me that I didn't need which I'm sure many of us have experienced before. I would totally recommend this Salon to anyone who is looking for a place that they can go back to and know they are getting good services by well trained, knowledgeable stylists. And oh ya...the prices are great too.
