My toes still had roughage On them ,I checked my heels. Totally not done. Was charged $40 For a half done pedicure. When I called the salon, they had her call me. It was one excuse after another. Her name again is Jenny. I am considering never going back for haircuts either. Very disappointed!

I had two bad experiences in a row with two different stylist. First, I had a cut/color with…read morestylist #1. She said, "this didn't lift very well in the back so you can come in another time and I will do a free touch up, I don't have time to fix it now". Huh? How about if I don't have time to come back? So, I left with poorly colored hair and never did have time to get back there before my next haircut. Close to $200 with tip. I went back for my next cut and color (like a fool) bit asked for a different stylist. Stylist #2 colored my hair, also a very poor job. When I pointed out the incorrectly colored part of my hair, she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, then proceeded to cut and chop that part (until it was way too short) to try to remove that area. She said she would do a free touch up if I wanted to come back in but couldn't fix it right then (could it be because it was the end of the day on a Friday?) Again, who has time to come back in? She did not show me the back of my hair (which is very unusual). When I got home, I know why. One look in the mirror.....awful in the back!!! $170 and this time NO TIP. I will never go back. Way too expensive to come out of there having your color not correctly done and an unsatisfactory haircut. Now, I will spend $$$ somewhere else getting fixed. This is the first time I have EVER complained about a haircut. My feeling, "it's only hair, it will grow back"....but I want to warn people who might not feel the same. I will not go back there

FINALLY!!! I have found a salon that caters primarily to us natural hair folk! No trying to get me…read moreto blow out my hair or flat ironing before styling. Somewhere I can get a classy braid, kinky twist, two strand twist style that lasts for weeks and can wear to work. A braider whose cornrows are super crisp and doesn't pull my edges out. I was traveling in from out of town and stumbled upon the Kinky Twist Queen on style seat and sent a msg trying to get appointment a week out. She responded two days later and informed me that she is usually booked out a month in advance BUT luckily for me she had a cancelation for the day I was looking for. I settled on a style of hers that I found on her facebook page + a wash and condition. The wash and condition was standard and once we got started on the style she informed me that each of her styles are unique and not duplicatable due to different texture types, head shapes, etc. I understood thorough I was a little worried that the style wouldn't come out like I seen in the pic. However, it came out GREAT!!! It fit my face and I think it came out even better than the pic :) My stylist was Chaunta who I later found out was the owner. She was very professional, not one of those stylists that take a million breaks or phone calls while doing hair. Although it was our first time meeting, I felt very comfortable with her. I found out that the store had been open for about a year and the stylists work under the Kinky Twist Queen Brand. Meaning that even if you do go to another stylist within the shop you can expect the same quality of work. I am very satisfied with my experience at this salon and anytime that I am in town I will be getting my hair did!! To top the cake, I literally got at least 10 compliments the same day as I got my hair done, Thank you Kinky Twist Queen I will see you soon!

Even tho she was a new face at first, her shampoo along with her cut won me over and I will definitely be going back. Atmosphere is great for adults and kids (my son likes it too and he is 6).
