The staff is uniformly friendly and goes the extra mile to make you happy. The price is a bargain, particularly for customers who want 2 full meals per day (breakfast and dinner). Parking is free and convenient. All rooms have refrig and spacious sink countertops. However, I am forced to downgrade the rating due to the vehicle noise on the freeway side of the hotel. Due to poor construction and thin windows, you will hear cars and trucks roaring by your room all night long. The front desk was kind enough to provide a fan which provided some white noise, but we could still hear the freeway. Earplugs provided no respite. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are insensitive to noise

We found the local area full of charm and enjoyed a kayak down the Withlacoochee River to Madison Blue Spring State Park and beyond to the next boat ramp. Close to collegetown, shops, bars, stadium, dorms...front desk staff has been courteous and friendly both times. Decor is lively and modern. In the lobby they even have a refreshment station for your pups! Rooms are spacious and neat. Our door was difficult to properly lock but I was able to get it done. King bed was comfy. There were only two drawbacks for me. One was that our shower had lukewarm warm water one day and no hot water at all the next. The second was the coffee downstairs. One of the mornings while having breakfast, I asked for a hot tea with steamed milk. It came to the table cold, including the mug it was in. This was rectified by asking for a mug of hot/boiling water and steeping the tea myself. The second morning, on our way out, I stopped and chose a latte with oat milk. While the latte was tasty, it was lukewarm at best and I had watched the barista make it. Would I recommend this place? Yes. Proximity to most things is a huge plus and parking in the parking garage is easy (7ft clearance!) I would just check the shower temp before unpacking and getting comfy. Would I eat breakfast here again? Yes, food was good but I would just order a latte or tea to-go from somewhere else. Overall, a decent stay both times.

This most recent trip was both to visit my in-laws and tour FSU with our niece. FSU offered us a discount and you just can't beat the location. The hotel is designed perfectly. You pull into the porte cochere and immediately inside the vestibule are luggage carts so you can swiftly unpack the car. As well as water and treats for the puppers! The lobby is fun and inviting and you are greeted by the most affable staff. We we're traveling with friends so we had two rooms and they upgraded our friends to a lovely suite and put us close by. The suite had a balcony that ran the length of the living area and bedroom with two entrances and two rockers. We enjoyed the sunset there. It was lovely as well to have a wet bar in the living area. Any bumps we encountered were swiftly taken care of with the utmost professionalism. Recently we have had really good luck with hotel restaurants! R&R is a fantastic restaurant and bar on its own. I would visit even if we weren't staying. My husband was elated that they had Bradley's pork chops on the menu for supper and sausages and sausage gravy at breakfast. If you ever have spare time in Tallahassee head out to Bradley's General Store. They make their own sausages, smoked pork chops, grits and more. It's like a trip back in time. If you stop at lunch time you can get a delicious sausage sandwich! I digress! We were just so excited to see a local product on the menu as well as local beers. Back to the hotel! The beds were super comfy. My husband raved about the shower. We have found our new favorite hotel in Tallahassee!

I can't seem to find the rest of the pictures I took of the room and lobby but everything was clean and smelled nice. I think other hotels should follow suite and rid of the nasty carpet in the rooms. I have no complaints about our stay. I will be returning to stay at this location during my next visit.

I went to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. The new room also had the same issue as the baseboard the very well but at this point, we were tired so we just decided to stay. Once my husband turned on the shower he realized why the baseball is for let and involved be in the spot. Apparently, when the housekeeper clean the shower, they don't turn the shower off off to face the shower wall instead is out of the shower and in the direct direction of the wall and baseboard has copying it to get wet when you go in the shower. Other than that, the rooms were clean a location is great. I love having the park across the street and the hotel is dog, friendly, nice and attentive.

I called Lewiswood just 5 months before the wedding because my original venue was still closed. Debra emailed me back the same day I contacted her and got me in that week to view the venue. I fell in love and signed the next day! Debra was fantastic on making sure everything was on time and as planned. She answered my countless emails and phone calls. The Barn is absolutely magical for the reception. The waterfall where we had the ceremony was breathtaking. I continue to get comments on how beautiful the wedding, venue, and waterfall were. There is breakfast in the morning and I really do recommend this location I have to know in the beginning that you have to remember that there are no elevators so your room will be upstairs and there's only two floors only to this small hotel. It is not pet friendly. I DO NOT recommend small children but the hotel is very clean! And the hotel is very convenient! Room is small but worthy. Staff is professional- check in & check out is smoothly. Reminder - small rooms !!!! Price fairly - I traveled alone so it's perfect for me .... Breakfast included ( can't complain) oh !!!! The room looked cute and it was clean, but the room environment with the dampness and the wetness was terrible. We arrived early at about 1:30. And try to check in, but check in was at 3pm, and they wanted me to pay $50 to check in essentially an hour early. We travel quite a bit and that has not been my experience with other hotel chains. I definitely won't be staying here again. New book for 2 nights and we had to leave at 9pm the second night because the room was so terrible.
