We arrived during a big event in town, and prices were sky‑high. We paid $279.51 for one night, so we expected at least a comfortable stay. When we went up to the second floor, the hallway was extremely muggy and smelled strongly of Lysol. The harsh lighting made it feel more like a hospital than a hotel. As soon as we entered the room, the smell of cleaning chemicals was overwhelming -- a mix of Lysol and bleach that made it hard to breathe. I immediately started coughing. The room itself was old. Even though it looked like they tried to clean it, the stained carpet and marked‑up walls made it feel worn and neglected. The windows were also very old, but thankfully we were able to open them fully to air out the room. That's when we noticed something inside the AC unit: a round scented insert meant to release fragrance. Instead of making the room smell better, it added another layer of strong, chemical odor. Because of that, we couldn't turn on the AC at all without filling the room with that toxic smell, so we ended up sleeping in the heat. The thin, outdated window let in every sound from the street, and I barely slept at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be returning.

Parking is free and convenient. All rooms have refrig and spacious sink countertops. However, I am forced to downgrade the rating due to the vehicle noise on the freeway side of the hotel. Due to poor construction and thin windows, you will hear cars and trucks roaring by your room all night long. The front desk was kind enough to provide a fan which provided some white noise, but we could still hear the freeway. Earplugs provided no respite. There were only two drawbacks for me. One was that our shower had lukewarm warm water one day and no hot water at all the next. The second was the coffee downstairs. One of the mornings while having breakfast, I asked for a hot tea with steamed milk. It came to the table cold, including the mug it was in. This was rectified by asking for a mug of hot/boiling water and steeping the tea myself. The second morning, on our way out, I stopped and chose a latte with oat milk. While the latte was tasty, it was lukewarm at best and I had watched the barista make it. Would I recommend this place? Yes. Proximity to most things is a huge plus and parking in the parking garage is easy (7ft clearance!) I would just check the shower temp before unpacking and getting comfy. Would I eat breakfast here again? Yes, food was good but I would just order a latte or tea to-go from somewhere else. Overall, a decent stay both times.

This most recent trip was both to visit my in-laws and tour FSU with our niece. FSU offered us a discount and you just can't beat the location. The hotel is designed perfectly. You pull into the porte cochere and immediately inside the vestibule are luggage carts so you can swiftly unpack the car. As well as water and treats for the puppers! The lobby is fun and inviting and you are greeted by the most affable staff. We we're traveling with friends so we had two rooms and they upgraded our friends to a lovely suite and put us close by. The suite had a balcony that ran the length of the living area and bedroom with two entrances and two rockers. We enjoyed the sunset there. It was lovely as well to have a wet bar in the living area. Any bumps we encountered were swiftly taken care of with the utmost professionalism. Recently we have had really good luck with hotel restaurants! R&R is a fantastic restaurant and bar on its own. I would visit even if we weren't staying. My husband was elated that they had Bradley's pork chops on the menu for supper and sausages and sausage gravy at breakfast. If you ever have spare time in Tallahassee head out to Bradley's General Store. They make their own sausages, smoked pork chops, grits and more. It's like a trip back in time. If you stop at lunch time you can get a delicious sausage sandwich! I digress! We were just so excited to see a local product on the menu as well as local beers. Back to the hotel! So the Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a very cute place, it is owned by a very nice couple and they have redecorated this house themselves. I really enjoyed my stay here, I know a lot of people don't like bed and breakfasts, but the owners truly made my stay fun and relaxing. The room also included breakfast, which they will have ready for you if you tell them what time you need to leave. And they will also prepare lunch or dinner for you at an extra charge (and they don't make just anything, they really make a gourmet MEAL!!)

As other have stated this is probably best for short stays and overnight stops as you travel through the area. Located a short drive from the interstate this park is easy to find and easy to access, our pull through site was #44 and although gravel it was pretty level and well maintained with full hookups and reliable utilities. We had no issue during our stay and found the park to be quite. We fortunately had great neighbors which is always good, the sites could of been a little wider but they were better than most short stay parks and we had plenty of room for our 4 slide-outs and awning which is typical for RV Parks that have customers who mainly stay only overnight. We didn't use any of the park's amenities but it did appear they were more than adequate including the pool. The staff was out and about everyday cleaning and maintaining the property which is filled with flowering plants and lots of pine trees that provides a good balance of sun and shade. As experienced RVers we are used to navigating our stays without much interaction with the staff so besides a few phone discussions and online communications we never had any face to face interaction with the staff which is fine with us - the site assignments and park information is posted in a small kiosk across from the office. I personally thought everything went off without a hitch and would definitely return if we were in the area and needed a place for an overnight stay...

I can't seem to find the rest of the pictures I took of the room and lobby but everything was clean and smelled nice. I think other hotels should follow suite and rid of the nasty carpet in the rooms. I have no complaints about our stay. I will be returning to stay at this location during my next visit.

I went to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. The new room also had the same issue as the baseboard the very well but at this point, we were tired so we just decided to stay. Once my husband turned on the shower he realized why the baseball is for let and involved be in the spot. Apparently, when the housekeeper clean the shower, they don't turn the shower off off to face the shower wall instead is out of the shower and in the direct direction of the wall and baseboard has copying it to get wet when you go in the shower. Other than that, the rooms were clean a location is great. I love having the park across the street and the hotel is dog, friendly, nice and attentive.
