Original appointment was 11 am on Wednesday we tried to get in earlier on Monday at 4 pm but they called and left a message about not having an MSK doctor available on Mondays. I called back and left a message approving the original Wednesday 11 am appointment. They (Baptist Imaging) didn't call back to let me know they didn't schedule at 11 but at 3pm but clearly heard my message approving a Wednesday appointment.

Apparently bleeding from each orifice, having a mass sticking outside of my body that's (maybe)…read morecausing other infections and medical issues, and just being too nice to say anything to the point that my IV machine beeps for more than 30 minutes or I have to wait for long periods of time while needing to use the restroom without having to go on myself. At one point an antibiotic bag was attached but not opened so the machine sent an alert for 20 minutes before I turned the beeping alarm off myself. There was hospital personnel in my room but non medical. The Hospitalist, Dr Matin, is flippant at best with her comments after seeing me all of 2 seconds no chart says that this is not how my body works. Her dismissiveness and horrendous bedside manner is very upsetting and not helpful in an already stressful situation. I have a mass the size of a grapefruit and as hard as one on the outside of my body. I'm pretty sure that it's not supposed to be there. Either way, a huge mass, various infections, continual vomiting with blood and unbelievable pain are not something that are "send you home and check back later" issues.

My appointment was scheduled for 5:30, but I arrived about 40 minutes early just in case traffic was bad. The location is great. It's right next to my OB/GYN. Check-in was also a breeze. The staff was wonderful! They checked me in, took my information, notified me that my technician was ready for me already (WOW!), let me know I didn't have a coypay, and asked me to have a seat and fill out the remaining paperwork. In about five minutes, I was called to the back. My insurance didn't want to cover the cost of the fluid injection but they approved the scan without it. The technician was very nice, and she told me I didn't have to change into a gown, take off my shoes, or anything. The scan was completed in less time than I spent in the waiting room. She helped me up, said the clinic should have my results in a few hours, and sent me on my way. I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. I felt very well taken care of from the moment I stepped in.

I had to make a separate appointment. Mind you, I come from out of town and drove 2 hours to get here. I think I'm canceling the next exam. I do not recommend this place. Save yourselves the trouble. In September 2023, my mother had an MRI at American Dynamic Imaging in San Antonio after an earlier…read moreultrasound had already shown suspicious lesions on her liver. The radiologist's report said there were "no pathologic liver mass lesions." Only a few weeks later, she underwent another MRI at a different imaging center. That exam showed extensive cancer throughout her liver, including multiple nodules and larger lesions. A later medical review confirmed the cancer had been visible in the first MRI. Because the September MRI was reported as normal, my mother never received cancer treatment. She passed away on November 8, 2023, only receiving pain relief in her final days. The suffering she endured and the loss to our family were devastating. I am sharing this so that other families know to ask questions and seek second opinions when results don't match what the clinical situation suggests.

Check-in was easy, the lady was nice and the radiology tech was even nicer. My appointment was at 1:40 but they said to arrive at 1:25. I arrived around 1:20 and I didn't wait long at all. In fact, I was done a little after 1:40. The tech explained everything thoroughly and positioned my hand while we made small talk about the x-ray flower art on the walls. When I checked out I informed the same lady who checked me in that I had a referral to a hand doctor. I handed her my phone so she can clearly get the details and said she can send my results to both my Airrosti doctor and the specialist. She must have done something right because the specialist's office called on Monday to schedule an appointment. I thanked her and went on my way. There was a second lady who didn't seem to be in as chipper a mood, but I made sure to say goodbye and thank you to her, too, and she brightened up. Overall it was a pleasant, quick experience.
