Keeping this short. Came here on a Wednesday morning at 9:30am and man..this cafe was PACKED. There were people working, taking meetings, and hanging out with friends. SO. I've been drinking coffee here for maybe a decade? I think I spend 80ish per month here for 10 years. And I still will. So here is my review in my normal style. BUT when you get to the service review, does it really matter? Maybe. BTW - This is for both locations. COFFEE - best coffee in the area. Love Intelligencia. I timed how long it would take them to take my order, and then make it. It took 8 minutes for them to acknowledge me! Then I got a "We will get to you in a minute. We are working on something." Maybe? But one of them was sure pissed at her friend. "but is she really a friend if she treats me like that?!!!" I don't know. Then the SLOWEST made latte in coffee history. It was like a hung over sloth was trying pull a shot. SO, I could go on. At a 10,000 ft level, their service is the worst. Just look at the 1 and 2 reviews. It's all service. THAT IS WHY, I can't believe I'm going to do this!... BUT... I'm giving them 4 stars. I'm not their to have someone greet me with a smile, or look me in the eye, or wish me a good day, or thank me for coming in. I'm there to sit outside on nice days, and drink good coffee. I saw this coffee shop while exploring town the other day, so I decided to stop by for a snack and drink. I got the iced turmeric chai latte and a raspberry/ white chocolate scone. I'm typically not a big fan of turmeric, but figured I'd try it out since it's really good for you. I surprisingly enjoyed this drink because the flavor was light and not too overwhelming. The scone tasted great, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. The coffee shop itself was really cute and the servers were all so friendly. This is a cute little coffee shop. I love the aesthetic of this space. They do a cool job having indoor and outdoor seating that is on the edgier side and it's also minimalistic. The outdoor seating is really geared more towards relaxing and casual vibes. There are some places where you can set up and do work, but there will be no outlets so you will probably only be seated there for a certain amount of time before you need to relocate. There are also spots outside that are more for sitting and not doing work. There are small little tables and chairs. I do enjoy that space and have met there for casual meetings. The indoor space is really nice as well. As far as getting work done there's a decent amount of space to sit and I find that because most people are all sitting on the same back wall I feel a little bit less distracted (But you could also be distracted anywhere). The coffee is really good. It is very flavorful and the menu is more minimalistic because they do the authentic coffee and espresso drinks. Overall, it was just an A-OK experience. Walking in reminds me of a lot of the California coffee shop scene. Rectangular counter in the center, tiny tables, hanging Edison light bulbs, and a small patio area. Two gentlemen behind the counter turned out to be friendly, but even I was confused where to order or where to find a menu. They recommended a pour over that ended up being quite tasty and wonderfully presented with the lightbulb-looking glass cylinder. Yes, I'm somewhat of a WiFi hoarder when going to coffee shops. It took me a hot minute to link up to the network, which was irritating in the moment when I'm there to go over work-related things with my boss. And the tables are just so narrow to hold a laptop and coffee. It's the chic atmosphere that probably makes this place successful in the Cherry Creek area. I came in early on a Saturday, and the espresso machine was out. So I got a cold brew and an almond croissant. The almond croissant was FIRE. I don't know where they get their pastries, but I'm so glad I tried one. Incredibly flaky, with lots of powdered sugar on top. Delish! I really wanted to try a latte, but what can you do. The cold brew was fine enough. If you want cream in your coffee, they offer regular cream or oat milk cream by the sugars/straws/lids (at no extra cost). I think that's pretty cool since I love oat milk in my coffee, but it's usually extra. Today, the doors were open to the outside which was really nice this morning. I hate to do this mornings events deserve the 1 star rating. Showed up this morning and walked right in only to be met with "we don't open for 6 more mins" and not in a nice way. Said the door was open and I was in a pinch and if they could get me a tea please. The Costa Rica pour overs are usually my go-to unless I need a bolt of energy which their cold brew is great for. The open space in the back / front is also pretty nice for getting some work done. We came around 3pm on a Saturday and there was a small line, but not a long wait. All of the outdoor and indoor seating was pretty full, so we stood outside while waiting for our order. The staff were attentive and offered a few suggestions from the menu. We ordered a cold brew and iced latte since it was a hot day. The iced latte was a bit too milky for my taste, but the cold brew tasted really great. Aviano has an awesome open wall that leads from inside to outside so you can sit inside or outside while waiting for your order. The price of each drink was a little less than $5 per drink which i think was good, but not great value since the drinks were on the smaller size. I feel like I have such a history with this place. My partner + I used to come here multiple times, every single weekend, when we were first dating. Over the years, a lot of the staff has remained the same (always a good sign for a business) and will recognize us when we stop in. We have a kid now, and still come here pretty frequently. You can't change anything with the matcha latte, but that is likely because they have perfected it + don't want people messing up the vibe. Both are sure to induce happiness. I also liked the turmeric chai latte, along with the matcha, when I was pregnant + desperately trying to limit how much espresso I drank in a day Would love to see a switch away from the plastic cups, but I didn't take away any stars for that.
