She is professional, helps him feel comfortable, and is able to get him to follow instructions. She makes a consistent effort to feed, clean, and exercise with him, and includes both mental and physical activities. She is self‑motivated, hardworking, and needs only minimal guidance to meet our needs. She is truly an asset to BrightStar. Our other regular caregiver is Honesty, and we are very happy with her as well. She has worked hard to gain my dad's trust, which makes it much easier for her to help him. She is great with all aspects of the job: she cleans, cooks, does laundry, and communicates well. We've seen her improve over time, and both my wife, Kathleen Sloan, and I are very satisfied with her service. We hope to have her as a regular caregiver in the future.

The intake RN Chassity was thorough and upfront about care, timing and pricing. One thing she told us was that BrightStar was an agency committed to helping BOTH of my parents in case of an emergency or natural disaster/hurricane even though only my dad was the patient. This was invaluable to me as I snowbird and cannot always be in Florida with my parents. I'd like to recognize each of our caregivers from BrightStar-- Melissa--the first caregiver in the home. She had a difficult job wooing my dad into accepting help but, she was graceful and knew her job so well that he was totally impressed and receptive to her care. Dino--Very flexible. Dad didn't want to shower that day but, Dino allowed him to wait while she moved forward with housekeeping. She gave him a bath in his recliner-- difficult but, we were so grateful that she could convince my dad to clean up. Dino jumped right in and completed many tasks with grace and professionalism. Angel-- She came as an unscheduled visit because dad was declining. (Kudos again to BrightStar as we called and they were able to send Angel within 1.5 hours!!! Excellent service response!!!) Angel recognized right away that dad needed more help than she could safely provide. Angel did the right thing and called her supervisor for help. The supervisor came quickly and they worked TOGETHER AS A TEAM to help my dad! Again-- AMAZING customer service by BrightStar!!! After tending to my dad, Angel continued working efficiently helping strip the bed and do laundry. This agency was recommended by dad's doctor. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! And you get what you pay for. I don't think pricing is too high at all. And the care and the staff is amazing. It's been a very stable group with the main caretakers having great tenure. It was immaculate, no smell at all, everyone was happy and friendly, and there were decorations for the season, which made a very nice, welcoming atmosphere. My friend decided on a one-bedroom apartment with a screened patio, which also had a small kitchen area. It is a nice-sized apartment and we were able to fit all her bedroom furniture in the bedroom, including her recliner chair, and a full-sized couch, a love seat, two arm chairs, coffee table, end table, and chest in the living room. Over time, she has deteriorated, both physically and mentally, and the staff has adjusted as needed. She can be overly demanding at times, but the staff is patient and understanding with her, and always there when she needs them. I've eaten there a few times and the food is delicious and nutritious - and a varied menu which she can choose from each day. I highly recommend Cypress Palms for any of your loved ones. They have always gone beyond my expectations in caring for my friend.

I have had a 34+ year career as an R.N. in multiple settings, including rehab/nsg. settings like Wright's. I routinely was responsible medication administration for sixty residents (and 1 time 120!) . The nurse/resident ratio here is less than half of the norm and consequently are able to see changes in residents and intervene before the small issues become big. As far as the "slacker staff" not being 'properly supervised', it's actually the opposite...PLUS, there is a 'Resident's Council ' in place and residents are free to voice any concerns related to their care with the assurance of both confidentiality AND follow up! In the 20-30 facilities I have experienced, this was either 'lip service' or non-existent. I won't address 'discouraging visitors' 5 star

Like many rehabs or nursing homes, Wright's has a number of patient (pt.) care problems. SLACKER…read morestaff aren't properly supervised, so instead of taking care patients who desperately need help, slackers pretend to care. Instead of doing their job,, like talking to patients, or feeding patients who are skin and bone, the slacker is trying to hide while playing w/ their cell phone. Wright's also has unprofessional "leaders" who are gossipers, working hard to create a divisive "us & them" atmosphere. They are hostile, snotty and arrogant, & threatened & are trying to discourage family from visiting. At $300.00 per day, care isn't cheap, so expect top notch, excellent, conscientious, smart caregivers. Many are great at Wright's, but wherever you take your loved one, U should present often, at different times of the day. Staff lose interest in many patients. If your loved one is hyper, or non-verbal, or losing weight, or has a hard time with utensils or cutting food, or opening food containers, be there often to MAKE SURE your loved one is cared for. If staff know you're coming the neglectful ones will put on a show for you to give the illusion that it's a good place. Especially if the patient's family is paying U to be a patient advocate. One wheelchair bound patient, a little lady who was usually ignored, who could NOT feed herself, her family paid advocate came in during a meal, & her Wright's female aide made a big fuss, & feeding the pt. to create the illusion that she was always fed. In actuality the pt. was always NOT fed. Her aide didn't even cut up the poor arthritic woman's food for her. Often, patients are lonely & suffering, very needy & confused & they need people to care enough, to see that they are still human, & treat them w/ respect, instead of ignoring them..

I'm going to give this place 3 starts because 2.5 equals 3 rounded up but a 2.5 is my honest score…read more I don't know if it's that the type of therapy these folks practice in is just full of bitchy people in general or i'v had bad luck, with my sons therapy?.. First we were stuck in All Children's therapy with a serious bunch of bitches that only believe the mother should have a say and get very nippy with men at All Children s speech therapy. I actually caught them going along with what ever mother said to them wile we were separating at the time. And constantly trying to derive a temper or reaction out of me, to help mother. I actually caught those women talking to mother after i left and mother feeding them at All Children speech a line of the B.S. and A therapist by the name of heather telling her that mother shouldn't worry because she has her back in separation issues among us because there they claim being overly personal is part of there program of approval and they start spouting about working with social security insurance providers etc.. Yeah the don't mess with us B.S. and don't do much to help but break a measuring stick for what kids don't know all day. Here at lamperts they fired a therapist i did like and worked well with i thought that wasn't overly personal.. So i'm like Yes! it's a good one! You know after the bitchy ones with the catty attitude at All Children's. But no they fired her with no notice to her patience not giving any time to the issue basically told her to go home with no regard for children which should be there first priority! Also they have this very snide woman that works in the front . Now she doesn't say anything unprofessional but she does have a very demeaning tone and has a very, in my point of view, bitchy attitude toward you, after either not explaining a question well or not giving you information correctly or at all and totally denies any wrong doing in the matter with what i'v herd them speak of as professionalism. Like just a short time ago she did not inform me of a time the last 2 times i called and i called a third day of his appointment and told her i was never informed those 2 times we talked or i was messaged only of the day , ((i forgot because the appointment was made a month back).. and she says excuse me what 2 times. Like it's mattered at all either way, to inform me was the true designation of the call not to dispute a client whether or not she did or not. The customer is always right, or should i say parent idk.. Then she gets off the phone with clients or parents if they question anything and acts like she will get the support of her faculty to back her bitchy attitude and begins to become more snide in her tone. By the way she's normally eating and dropping crumbs on the floor in front of you or not at the desk at all. And when you call this place it's a woman at another line that can't ever help with anything and knows nothing and asks if she can help. You gotta be careful with places like this in the medical or therapy field though because being mostly women they can get nippy if they don't get there popper attention or smiles or pleases and thank you's So a 2.5 is what i give them from what i know if it gets better ill let you know. Most of the therapists though i would say are good from what i can see so far. In to the above review i have re evaluated my opinion for the mean time because the change in therapist has seemingly given my son more of a positive result even though the above was unprofessional in my opinion. I am giving this place 3.5 stars now because i am currently enjoying the gradual progress my son is making but i will be back most likely in the future for another rating review hopefully the trend continues and things get better. Vocabulary has improved some and language also with some work from both therapist and parent with the patient i will elaborate further in addition at a latter date.
