I have been going to Aviator for about 2-3 years now and it has become my go-to spot for pizza on any occasion When I go, I tend to get their version of the supreme pizza or the Meat Almighty, but lately I've been more into their unique flavors, specifically the Lazy Goat, which has salami, spinach, goat cheese, and artichoke hearts. That pizza is pretty fresh tasting and does a great job balancing the sour flavor of the artichoke heart with the spinach and goat cheese. Additionally, their crust kind of has me in a chokehold as it's a little sweeter and they make it fresh, as verifiable by the open kitchen concept where you can see workers throwing and shaping pizza dough before topping it. Nice easy walk in and right away got taken for the good choices by the man who works here. it was nice to be able to order fast and get what I needed except they forgot the basil so I had to turn the pizza back so they can put the basil on it. Even though they were getting ready to close, the staff was kind enough to take my order. When eaten warm, the cheese has a nice pull and stretch which is so alluring cause it's not saucy in the way that it's messy. I was waiting in line at the counter but one of the servers asked if anyone was there to pick up an online order so I was able to skip ahead to pick up my pizza which sped up my pickup considerably. The crust is not too dry but rather airy and slightly sweet. The balance on the pizza just hits in a way I definitely didn't expect. What a great find for us visiting Austin for the first time. The location is fabulous. There's a great park across the street and the neighborhood looks like it has many places within walking distance. The staff here is so friendly and hospitable. We were seated with our 17 month old granddaughter immediately. This is a very family friendly place. We ordered a pepperoni and basil pizza that came out quickly. It was very good. We also ordered a garden salad with chicken with a really good ranch dressing. I wish the salad had been tossed with the dressing. The salad was filled with ingredients. Definitely a bang for your buck, but for a large salad like this, I found some of the variety of salads a bit limiting in the sense that, I feel like if I'm eating a humongous salad, there should be a little more variety in veggies. The most variety you can get in terms of vegetables besides leafy greens are tomatoes, olives, (diced) onions, and artichoke. I think it'd be nice to have cucumbers, broccoli, or at least carrots in the salads; they are not add-ons available. If you wanna be satiated by veggies, maybe not the salads here, but if you want something simple and tasty that will fill you up, then Aviator is good. I'd try some of the others on the menu too, tbh. This personal salad was 16$ with no add-ons. Ambiance is nice, they have a big patio in front and they're next to a lake with a cute park. I personally love the fact they have vegan and dairy free options, but the cheese came out too well done on the veganlicious. I'm a fan of this pizza spot located in Mueller. I love how the crust has a hint of sweetness to it. I tend to order the pizza that has olives on it. I think it's called The Greek or something similar. It's super tasty and I even enjoy eating any leftovers the next day. I use the toaster oven to warm up the pizza and it's good as new! On a Friday night after placing the online order my order was ready 20 mins later- so fast! And they got the order right too - another win!
