Great Italian sandwich. Nice vibe. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating. I want to go again to try the pizza and calzones. My waiter had a weird vibe, but everything else was great

Being from NY, I was skeptical about pizza in Texas But, after much persuasion from my fiancée, I decide to take a chance. To say I was blown away is an understatement. The pizza was AWESOME!! It was sooo good. ( Just as good if not better than NY pizza) I told my friends in NY they need to come down and try it. I'm a now a devoted customer.

If you're looking for a quick snack or a cheap meal, Home Slice is a good option. They have both a sit down restaurant and a more casual order/pickup option--this review is for the casual option. For this option, you order the pizza by the slice. When I came, there were 3 options: cheese, pepperoni, and margherita. I tried the cheese pizza and to be honest, I didn't think it was anything noteworthy. If you're craving pizza, this will definitely satisfy that craving and if you're in the area and are having the late night drunchies, I'm sure that this would really hit, but I've had better pizza elsewhere. Everything here is pretty self serve and you can seat yourself at any of the picnic tables in front of the stand. Service was friendly!

Yum!! This place is delicious. We were in the mood for a smaller dinner and decided on a slice each from Home Slice. The parking is pretty limited here but fortunately we snagged a spot. There's a line outside where you can place your order and a few tables outside to sit. On our visit it was pretty hot outside so we didn't spend too long outside eating. I did see a small indoor area but it looked pretty crowded so I'm not sure what the seating structure was like. We decided on a pepperoni and pepperoni + mushroom pizza slice. I had the pepperoni and mushroom slice and devoured it in a minute or less. It was just so good! I adored the thin slice and it was amazingly savory. The crust was also fantastic. They have crushed red pepper at the tables and you can grab a fresh Parmesan shaker from the area you place your order. I would love to come back here and maybe try a whole pizza just so we could have a few more slices! They had several more options if you order a whole pizza that looked absolutely delicious. The outdoor space is probably more fun on a cooler day but nice that they have it. Till next time!

If you have not had Home Slice Pizza in Austin, you need to consider changing this. This restaurant sells great pizza by the slice or a whole pie that is bursting with flavor. I am not a huge pizza fan, but I do enjoy having Home Slice Pizza. We were having a group gathering at Home Slice and we got a chance to try a variety of pizzas. Our group was at the location at 1415 S. Congress with overflow at the More Home Slice Pizza next door. Service was friendly and fast. In addition, a slice of pizza is as low as $5, which I believe is an affordable amount. There were a number of folks attending the social from out of state and the country...casual environment. We ordered the sausage, ricotta and roasted red peppers and white clam pizzas. Both were well-season, flavorful and hot out of the oven. Even at 6 pm, there was a heavy flow of customers...a bit crowded. Home Slice Pizza does not take reservations and is on a first come, first served basis. Shout out to Craig for accomodating our large group of people.

This place gets super busy being along South Congress but service is relatively quick. Note there is a line outside but also you can order from inside at the cash register. I tried their cheese pizza and honestly this felt like New York quality being a thin slice. I felt lucky that the batch I received had just come out hot.

Wow this pizza blew me away. The crust was so crispy and flavorful, and the turkey sandwich was EXACTLY what I was craving. The ambiance of this place is so cool. We waited for a good 40 minutes but it was definitely worth it. This is the first place I've ever seen offering cookies and milk for dessert! This is a gem!

I now understand all the reviews and long lines. One of the best pizza joints we experienced. Thin slice pizza with a very sturdy and crunchy crust ! The crust is what makes the pizza. Flavors and cheese were delicious goodness. We got to split the toppings to get a taste of some of their signatures. This photo below is a large. We had leftovers and the crust stayed crunchy even when cold! Has a nice outdoor patio to wait for seating, get a drink at the bar, or to sit outside. Service was very attentive, friendly, and on point. A place I would recommend if craving a slice of pizza.

Jersey vegan girl who recently moved to Austin here! I love getting a little "slice" of home whenever I'm craving good vegan pizza, and Home Slice always comes through. Their Vegan Slice has spinach, tomato, mushrooms, and vegan cheese. It's crispy, flavorful, and almost doesn't taste vegan. We've only ordered takeout, so I can't really speak to the full dining experience, but for takeout you can order at the counter inside or at the window outside, then find a seat and they'll call your name and bring the pizza out to you. It's a very efficient process and usually moves pretty quickly. Parking can be a bit annoying, but we've gotten lucky finding a spot in the lot a few times. I obviously can't speak to the non-vegan pizza, but my partner enjoys his slices every time we go. It would be great if they added another vegan option down the line, but even if they don't, I'll keep coming back. The location on South Congress is super convenient. Highly recommend!

A classic pizza place founded in Austin! I can't believe I've never written a review for it since I've been multiple times. While they do have seating inside, it's a small space. Parking is usually difficult to find and not free (except on Sundays). It's best to order to-go and enjoy eating from the comfort of your home. There's usually a wait. However, this is the best NY-style pizza I've had in Austin. I love the classic Margherita. It tastes fresh and delicious! We ordered two large pizzas to share among four people and still had a few extra slices (for a second meal!) For pizza places, this is my go-to!

This place seems to be doing it right, you got home slice sit down side and across the lot got more home slice looks to be more for grab and go! We tried a few different things and everything was delicious

Came here after hearing great things and it absolutely didn't disappoint! We came here with 6 people and the wait wasn't too terrible. The staff was very friendly and kind. The food was delicious as can be! We got the eggplant pie and it wasn't what I was expecting (I was expecting more of an eggplant parm situation), but it was so good! I'll be thinking about it for a long time! The area is really cool with cute decorations. Chill spot and really enjoyed our time here. I recommend patio sitting if the weather allows.

    Susan T.

This was one of our bucket list was to come here, to be honest, we didn't like the pizza as much as we thought.. but the service was amazing though.. the place was super nice ! ! Very cozy!

I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake.
