This is a great pizza place that opened up in the Marq-E Entertainment Center. Totally recommend coming here for a casual dinner option before a movie at the neighboring Regal theater! We came on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't too busy. They have a Tuesday special that includes 1 large 1-topping pizza, 1 medium specialty pizza, and 1 order of focaccia breadsticks, all for $37.99. This is more than enough to feed a family of 4. We came as a group of 7 and ordered an additional medium specialty pizza in addition to this, and everyone left well-fed. For our large pizza, we got the Classic Pepperoni. No complaints here, as it's your standard pepperoni pizza. For our specialty pizzas, we got the South Austin and the Ground Control. The South Austin had a red sauce, prosciutto, goat cheese, and arugula, all drizzled in a vinaigrette. This was delicious, as we've had similar ones to this at other pizza joints around Houston, but I appreciate the touch that Aviator added to theirs. The Ground Control had a red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, ham, and ground beef. This is basically a supreme pizza with the addition of ground beef, so think of it the baby of a meat lover's pizza and a veggie lover's pizza. I do really like the crust on their pizzas - a good middle-ground between thin crust and pan pizza. With that said, the crust held up well considering the amount of toppings that came out on our specialty pizzas. The focaccia breadsticks were tasty and the marinara sauce on the side was perfect for dipping. Service was very friendly between the two gentlemen working behind the counter. They brought out our pizzas straight from the oven and cleaned our plates as we finished them. The bar has a variety of beers on draft and a decent wine selection. Happy hour runs until 6pm during the week, which is $1 off drafts and $6 house margaritas. On the night we went, they were out of several of the draft beers - hopefully this is not a regular issue. I tried the happy hour margarita and the Aviator house wine - both were great and a much cheaper alternative to ordering drinks at the movie theater. I'm glad we found this place - I'm sure it will become a regular spot before we hit the movies. While we have our favorite pizza spots inside the loop, this is another solid option to consider that's located just outside the loop.

Solid pizza spot in the Spring Branch area. Right in the Marq-E plaza, so parking can be difficult at times. Good variety of pizzas to choose from, at varying sizes, and lots of non-pizzas as well. My party didn't order any beer, but it looks like there's a good selection. A few configuration of seats, from booths to elevated tables and bar stools. Pizza came out decently fast. They're more 'yeasty' than most pizzas, but I think it's unique in a good way; I actually found it a little more addicting tbh. Good spot to grab a slice before/after the movies.

Quite simply, some of the best pizza I've had in a while. Not saucy, just good toppings. Atmosphere was quiet, casually busy. Beer on tap was good. They must clean the taps regularly. You can tell the difference. I'll be back.

A nice addition to the MarqE area to which I frequent quite often :) We had just finished an immersive gaming experience nearby and this was within walking distance. Staff was friendly and welcoming during our visit and gave us a quick run down. It's got a very modern and casual ambiance, with an outdoor patio that's perfect for group hangout when the weather's kind. They definitely lived up to the "Draft house" name as there's over 50+ beers on tap. The menu also had some tempting-looking sandwiches and salads that caught my eye. As for the pizza (also customizable), it definitely hit the spot. I tried the meaty all mighty, which came out piping hot, I really liked crispy crust and generous amount of toppings. While the pizza didn't blow me away, it's still solid, especially considering that Houston's pizza scene hasn't set a particularly high bar (agree or disagree?) My friends all enjoyed it, and I'm glad we stumbled upon the place. Would definitely come back here!

Pizza and beer..... what a great combination! We stopped here because we wanted to get some dinner before we went across the way to a movie. We split 2 medium pizzas and it was still plenty of food for 3 hungry people. The beer selection was good. I got the shiner summer shandy and it was light, crisp and citrusy. As recommended from our friend, we asked the pizza be extra crispy. Good thing we did because the crust was cooked all the way through but I wouldn't describe it was extra crispy. So if we had gotten it regular, it might've been more on the soggy side. We got the Major Tom and the Lazy Goat. I personally love goat cheese so I enjoyed the flavor it brought to the pizza. I wished the artichoke pieces were a little bit smaller. As soon as you bite into it, you end up taking half of the toppings off the slice with it. The Major Tom was also very good, typical for your meat and veggie pizza. This is a nice chill spot to grab a slice with your friends if you're looking for a casual spot without having to wait in line for a table somewhere else.

I came to Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse a couple of times. First time was in the evening right before Houston got warmer. Service was great. Because it was a club meeting, I didn't get a chance to explore the menu. I ordered a dairy-free cheese pizza. It was new to me. Although, I didn't care for it much. I swore to order an ordinary pizza on my next visit. I came back today. It was my group's brunch event. Who would thought of pizza for brunch. Hahaha. I came here a little past 1 pm. This time, I asked cashier for recommendations. Because I wanted quick bite. The friendly employee told me about the personal pizza. Sure. I ordered Flying Garlic Pizza with chicken on it. It didn't take long. I started to take pictures and I couldn't resist the aroma. I took a bite. OMG. I was in heaven. It tasted so good. I took another bite... next thing I know, I almost finished this 6-slice pizza. Yeah, don't worry about takeout box. I had my pizza fix for the week. Actually, I might come back later this week. Very impressive. I don't drink. So, I can't recommend any brews or drinks. I drank water.

Everything was on point! The exceptional service, the food fresh and hot made to order! Clean absolutely going back. I highly recommend

Ordered 2 12" to go, The Greek and the Meat Almighty with dairy-free cheese (luv that it is an option). Toppings were tasty and enough to cover the whole pizza. The crust... 1. It was crispy on the bottom as well as the sides. 2. It was strong enough to hold the toppings. 3. It had a nice chew. Casual dining and family friendly. I will be back. Why is there not a pizza flight?

I am so glad we stopped by this pizzeria! The service was so pleasant and helpful starting right at the counter. After hearing my friend and I discussing out differing opinions on olives, our server offered to make half the pizza olive-free. It's this kind of attentiveness that defined our time eating there and that really stood out to me. There was plenty of seating and the interior was neat and tidy. The pizza came out promptly and was delicious! The crust was both crunch and soft and chewy, while the toppings were tasty and went well together. We had the Ground Control pizza and I highly recommend it. The 12 inch size was perfect for my friend and I to share. A great place to go when you're craving a great slice!

This is my second time at Aviator. We ordered the Meat Almighty pizza and honey Sriracha brussel sprouts. We added jalapenos to our pizza for $2.40 and they were very generous with the amount that was given. You can order by scanning the QR at the table or ordering at the register. It's a good choice especially if you want to go somewhere chill with pizza/beer.

My very first pizza was delicious. I tried the Austin Pizza not knowing what to expect. Once I took my first bite I was hooked. It was unexpectedly delicious! I have to come back again. By the way, the Austin pizza has kale and feta cheese. I can't remember. I took a picture. The service was great. The place has good seating and a great atmosphere.

This place rocks!! I spotted a sign when I was visiting a near by establishment and the "drafthouse" portion of their name lassoed me in. The vibe is casual. Large long tables and booths. Kids running amok. I was a tad concerned I couldn't get my drink on but I pushed on. I was pleasantly surprised at the cashier station. GUYS they have 50 freaking beers/drinks on tap! Best part is they said I could sample to my hearts content. I tried (4) different ones but eventually settled on a tired a true, buckle bunny. Honorable mention to the house made margarita on tap. My husband loved the Galveston bay blueberry blonde. Jose was my cashier aka bartender and he was so friendly and I welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse is an Austin based pizza and beer spot that has recently made it's Houston debut. From what I read, they've been around for a minute and is a popular spot in the Hill Country. The name gives off plane and aviation vibes, but I didn't really see any theme in this restaurant. This location is in the Houston MarqE entertainment complex which has really made some changes with lots of cool new entertainment and food spots. We just finished up at the Immersive Gamebox nearby and was looking for lunch options. This place was in my peripheral so we decided to check it out. It is super spacious inside with lots of seating inside. They also have patios in the front and back of the restaurant. Customer service was really good. The gals up front had no problem giving suggestions and let us try samples of the brews before purchase. I'm sure you can figure out by the name of this place that they specialize in pizza and beer. The pizzas are made to order and they got quite a few options to choose from. If you aren't feeling a pizza, they also got breadsticks, salads, grinder sandwiches, calzones, and dessert. For their beer selection, they proudly serve around 50 Texas beers only. As much as I like beers from all over, it was cool to see them support locally within our great state. We started off with the Zilker salad which had arugula, greens, pecans, cranberries and goat cheese. It was a great salad that went well with the heavy, rich pizzas. Pizza wise, we went with the Flying Garlic and the Meat Almighty with added jalapenos. The pizzas came out piping hot and they looked really good. One thing they do not do here is skimp on toppings. That being said, with all the toppings, they should spread it out more evenly as the pizza was center heavy and floppy. I had to fork and knife it initially until it cooled down a little. Both pizzas were delicious. I did like the crust and the slight char it had. The Flying Garlic was a little different. Yes, garlic is in the name, but we were not expecting whole cloves thrown on the pizza. I am a garlic fiend and had no problem with it, but it might be too much for some. Maybe sliced garlic would be a better choice. The beers were nice and cold. They also have lots of bottled drink options and have Stubborn soda and a few big brands as fountain drinks. Overall, I'm glad we gave this spot a chance. We almost didn't because of how new it was and lack of alot of reviews. It's a solid spot and I would come back again when in the area.

Unfortunately, they no longer had it, which was disappointing but understandable. What stood out more was the service. Each time my husband asked the bartender a question about other beers he could try like the one he had, the responses felt short and dismissive, and the answer was essentially "no" every time. My husband remained patient and friendly throughout, but I believe good service is a big part of what makes an experience enjoyable. That said, the place itself is cute, clean, and has a nice atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave it a try, but I'm not sure I would return.

From the outside it has that charming little hole-in-the-wall look, but the moment you step inside, you're wrapped in a warm neighborhood vibe. It's comfy, cozy, and the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, and sip something delicious. We sampled a few different meads, and Saint Michael quickly became a standout. One mead had a bright blackberry soda flavor, another featured smooth vanilla notes that reminded us of a creamy cream soda, and the last tasted like pure honeyed goodness, my personal favorite. The bartender was incredibly friendly and happy to guide us through the options, and the half pours made it easy (and fun!) to try more. If you're looking for a place to just come as you are and hang out with friends, this is it.

I didn't see any specialty cocktails on the menu so I just asked the bartender, Marc to make me a gin based cocktail. Marc came up with his version of a Corpse Reviver.
