    Rosemarino (spirit free)
    Christy P.

We really enjoyed our meal here. We kept it simple and just had a refreshing mocktail and the sausage alla vodka pizza. The Rosemarino mocktail was a pink peppercorn lemony shrub--it was so crisp and I really liked the way the peppercorn went with the lemon. The generous sprig of rosemary was a nice touch--very perfume-y every time you take a sip. The pizza was great! Nice chewy crust, and it was good to have a sauce base that wasn't your typical red or white pizza. It was a filling meal for two without leaving us overly stuffed. Service was a little slower than I might've expected but nothing outrageous for a Friday night. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

If you live in the area (Memorial, Hedwig Village) and you want to stroll into a quaint, warm, inviting neighborhood spot, Murray's offers the coziness of a corner neighborhood spot without all the hustle and bustle feeling of being in thr city. Tucked away on Gaylord Drive, next to Tree Beards and Tiny's Milk and Cookies. It oozes classy yet subtle vibes, but I wouldn't say it's quite kid-friendly. A wonderful week-night date night or great for groups to get together. I read some of the other reviews. And I'd have to agree that while service was friendly, trying to flag someone to get things for our table was a challenge while the restaurant was not fully occupied. It was a bit inconvenient to have to constantly wait to see someone walk by, or wait longer than usual just to see if our server was around. I saw two MOD's or higher ups work on their laptops front of house, when they could have been more attentive to the tables. We ordered the sausage allá vodka and the prosciutto and burratta pizza and between the two, I surprisingly liked the prosciutto one better! Def recommend adding red pepper flakes to both. My personal opinion, I thought the sausage allá vodka could've used more sausage as it's in the name. It fell a bit short for me. The crust is pretty good... I wanted to order a Riesling by the glass (BTG) but I was told that since they didn't already have one opened, I would need to purchase an entire bottle. So I politely declined, but for those dining here in the future, that's def a PSA. We also asked if the ceasar salad could be a half size but apparently that option is only available during their lunch hours. All in all, tidbits here and there made for a slightly turbulent dining experience, but overall it was okay for a weeknight impromptu date night.

I think this place is perfect for the surrounding areas plenty of green space for the kids to play, leaf and grain is right next door, patio seating and shade for the outside seating too. I have been here 3x now and have sat outside 2x of the 3! great lunch time deal a salad and pizza for $20, I think its quite a steal. the pizza is really good, crispy, thin , and the dough is good too. if you leave it too long, of course it'll get softer, but I definitely enjoy the pizza at this place so much! service is great, I haven't had one bad experience. when you walk in, you'll see the bar area on the left, they have plenty of drinks to order from. oops did I mention there's a drink that comes with the $20 lunch special!!! yall gotta try it! also pepperoni, marg, and cheese comes with the $20 lunch special, and if you want other pizzas, it s a $5 uncharge. plenty of parking, come thru!

We frequent Leaf & Grain at least once a week and are obsessed with it so we have been meaning to try Murray's since they opened. We went on a Saturday night with some friends and let me just say that the patio over there was POPPING. We made a reservation for inside and were seated upon arriving. For dinner we ordered a bunch of stuff to share - Crudo, Meatballs, Roasted Carrots, Not Hawaiian Pizza and the Wild Mushroom Pizza. Everything was great but we really loved the crudo and both pizzas. Our only service hiccup of the evening was when our pizzas came out before our meatballs and carrots. Before we could even say anything our waiter, Juan Sebastian, was on top of it. He noticed immediately, came to the table and said that he was going to send them back and have them re-made to arrive after we finished our appetizers which we really appreciated. Really great casual neighborhood pizza spot with nice upscale small plates and a great outdoor patio.

I really love the atmosphere of this place, it was laid-back and casual. The service was really great as well. I do love the fact there is an outdoor seating area and a big parking garage nearby. The spritz was delicious and I loved the presentation! That pizza was also really good, but personally there are some other pizza places in Houston that I like even more. I felt like there could've been some more cheese on the pizza, but the combination of the honey was really delicious! The Shishido peppers were also really flavorful and a unique choice for an appetizer. Overall, I would definitely come back here again and try other pizzas.

Prosciutto and arugula pizza with burrata Mushroom pizza

Cozy and clean pizza joint with a great patio environment for the families. The promise of high quality ingredients and a mature menu worth sitting for is appetizing and got me in the door. After being influenced by the slick lighting and camera work of some instagram foodie, I made sure to get Murray's on my list of local places in my neighborhood to try. The menu is straightforward and seems to stick the the hits of Italian American dining, with the focus on pizza. We got some familiar appetizers that we usually have luck with when dining out, burrata, meatball, and Caesar salad. Of the 3 the things I liked their focaccia bread that came with it the best. The cheese was served simply and tasted great on that bread. The Caesar really struggled to impress me, needed to replace more of the arugula with romaine, and just needed a better crunch ingredient, and the dressing just lacked some punch. The meatball tasted like we wanted, but man it was bordering on too moist and loose, not enough holding it together to get a bite at most points. The pizzas continued the mixed results thing. Pepperoni, just felt plain, left me wanting more of the toppings. Sausage all vodka probably was the best top to bottom, good mix of spicy and meaty. Mushroom pizza had practically zero mushroom flavor, worked as a vehicle for the garlic sauce and the salsa verde mostly, which were good. It was begging for some of the earthy flavor that mushrooms provide. Prosciutto and arugula was prosciutto and arugula, no comments there. I did like the dough/crust here, great Neapolitan style with crispy bottom and chewy edge. I liked the Murray Spritz drink that I ordered, but as has been the trend at a couple restaurants, the wait staff is just so busy not being available that I wasn't given the opportunity to order another. Service wasn't bad by any means, just wasn't nearly present enough to add value to the experience. I'm leaning towards giving them another try, but I'm not running back when there's a local favorite like TaleSpin doing things im much more interested in.

Had a fantastic dinner at Murray's!!! Service was top notch and all the wait staff was extremely kind. We started off with the Caesar salad and the meatballs as our apps. Do not skip the meatballs! They were sooo good! Our son gobbled his meatball up. It's served with focaccia bread and the tomato sauce is chef's kiss. Not too sweet and not too salty, that tomato sauce was just right. It's one of the best ones we've had and you can tell it's made fresh. Our 2 pizzas we got were the "not Hawaiian" and sausage alla vodka. We wanted to try the mushroom but they were out for the evening. We LOVED the not Hawaiian!!! We got it per the recommendation of our waitress and it was sooooo good. The pineapple infused hot honey really elevated that pizza. It was THAT good. The sausage alla vodka was good, but next time we'd go back to try the mushroom. Overall, super cute area. We opted for a table outside cause the weather was so nice. Don't skimp on Murray's!

We decided to step outside of our box and try a new pizza spot tonight and we were lucky to stumble upon Murray's Pizza and Wine in the Memorial area. From the time we walked in we were impressed. The ambiance is great and we were warmly greeted immediately. Our waitress, Mackenzie, was awesome and very helpful with the menu and a delight to chat with. The food here is great. We tried the meatballs, white bean hummus and prosciutto and arugula pizza. For dessert we had the dulce de leche gelato and that was such a nice way to cap our meal. The wine list is also impressive and we found a wine from one of our favorite wineries in the Santa Ynez wine country. We will definitely be back.

The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.

Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet... and that contrast is impossible to ignore. Let's start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it's doing, no question. Now the problem: the service. For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst. Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there's simply no reason to settle. Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won't be returning.
