    Fantastic Mushroom Pizza togo !!!
    Michael C.

I picked up a Mushroom Pizza togo late at night. It was very fresh, delicious, high quality and juicy in every bite. The crust was a great coal-fired type with a crispy texture and brown color to it. I find a pale pizza crust to be atrocious and not real pizza crust. The cheese was rich, aromatic and quality, not like some bagged mozzarella either. The red sauce was somewhat tangy and runny. It could've used a tiny pinch of more salt or sugar, but very good regardless. The mushrooms were great tasting, well-cooked and soft. Great service as well. I will be back in the future.

We love Bollo, the service is always great and the food consistently good. Our favorite is the Margherita pizza, from thin crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and sauce that always hits just right!

Great service, fair prices and yummy food! My boyfriend and I arrived at bollo on Friday evening at 830 without a reservation and got seated immediately. The restaurant has a really cute neighborhood vibe, which was exactly what I've been looking for! The staff was really friendly the whole time and our food came out pretty quickly. We got the lobster ravioli, the pancetta pizza, and a tiramisu. Everything was delicious!! The lobster ravioli was served in a yummy white cheesy sauce and the pizza was perfectly crispy and soft at the same time. The tiramisu slice we got was also massive and beautifully plated. I'll be returning soon and I highly recommend this spot for a casual night out.

Came here with a friend and this is some of the best pizza I have ever tried! The servers are nice, the service is FAST, And the pizza is tasty - there's not much else to say. I ordered the carne trio which is basically a meat lovers pizza and it was delicious. And the cheese pull?!? They also have all day $7 drink specials so this mightttt become my go to pizza place! I can't wait to come back and try their other flavors and even their pasta!

This is one of my favorite pizzas in Houston. I am a huge wood fired pizza fan, and I think they have some of the tastiest and most consistent pizzas in the game The menu offers a variety of signature and classic options. There are other Italian dishes to choose from, but I have only had their pizza I have dined in once, and it was a lively experience. Everything is clean and nicely decorated. It's a great date night spot. There's plenty of parking. Also, the staff is great On this occasion I ordered Togo, and as always I got my order in a timely manner and everything was delicious I do wish the pizzas were a little bigger, but honestly, these are the perfect shareable pizza for 2 people Some tips: Bollo is available on DoorDash and other delivery services. Also, if you dine in and sit in the bar area they have a M-F happy hour menu 4pm-7pm and a reverse happy hour menu 9pm-close Cheers!!

Great wood fired pizza with a nice thin crust. I went with a margherita but added some ricotta (which is soooo underrated on pizzas like trust me and try it). Also split a dessert platter. All were pretty good but I will say I think the tiramisu could be soaked more.

My fave fave fave place to get a good pizza. Great for dates, great for family, great for hangouts. I come here regularly if I'm feeling like I want a gourmet pizza. I will say the prices have gone up since I started coming here but nonetheless, without fail I have always had good service and good food. My favorite pizza is the margherita pizza with goat cheese and my favorite salad is the arugula. It's sweet, it's delicious, It's my favorite salad. Anytime I have a friend visiting from out of town and they want pizza or pasta, this is my go to spot without fail. It's also conveniently placed in an area with lots of options for desserts! I don't know if he still works here, but Manny was our server for a number of years. He was one of the best servers we had and he was always so kind. A SOLID place to go to for anyone trying to figure out where to take their non-Houstonian friends to show them that our food scene is one of the best!

I was glad that I came to Bollo Woodfired Pizza with my friends. I had a snack-sized Beef Meatball. I had a late lunch and I couldn't consume a whole pizza by myself. Service was excellent. The water kept coming. We arrived within an hour from the closing time. We were not rushed to get out. The menu is very well organized. I saw the size of pizza as big as a serving tray. I will be back to try the pizza next time I'm in this part of town.

This place is my new favorite spot for pizza and caprese salad. Such a good ambience outside and outstanding waiter we had outside too. Water never left empty, tasty wine, but the showstopper here is definitely the pepperoni pizza for me. Delicious pizza dough and marinara. Prefect cheese amounts and very tasty pepperonis. Do yourself a favor and try one! Ps chocolate cake and tiramisu and lemoncillo cakes were great too!

    Carne Trio Pizza

I recently ordered from Bollo Woodfried Pizza via Uber Eats andI decided to try the Italian buffalo wings and the carne trio pizza. The Italian buffalo wings had a decent kick of spice, though I felt they were a bit under-seasoned for my taste. The carne trio pizza, featuring a mix of savory meats, had a rich and satisfying flavor, but the crust was slightly lacking in crispiness which I don't know if it was attributed to being ordered through Uber Eats and the delivery time or it was just the pizza itself. Next time, I'll make a point to slide through the restaurant in person to fully immerse myself in the atmosphere and get the complete dining experience.

For some reason my other pictures didn't post from last time so those are included as well! Was in here recently and the shrimp scampi pizza and $7 margaritas on special are still my favorite items to order. The calamari and chicken Parmesan my friends ordered was delicious as well.

So we walked on over to this little speakeasy and were immediately greeted by the bouncer. On a Thursday night, it was quite crowded, but were able to find the last remaining seats at the bar. We were seated at the left end of the bar, which was nice because we had our own little "nook" away from the rest of the bar. Adjacent to us was the server station - the one server tending to the tables, Marilyn, frequently came by and we immediately befriended her. She gave us excellent recommendations and provided her opinion on several drinks. Robin was the bartender who took care of us throughout the night. She was super friendly from the moment we sat down and gave us stellar recommendations on food and drinks. She was happy to tweak a couple of their seasonal drinks to our liking, and even offered to mix other drinks that weren't on the menu. Fantastic service from Robin throughout the night. I started out with Tommy's Margarita - this was just their take on a classic margarita, nothing super special. I then ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned - think of an old fashioned made with tequila and mezcal in lieu of bourbon. I was a bit cautious about this one since I am not a fan of mezcal, however the smoky flavor was not very apparent in this one, which was a huge plus! I also got the Ardilla - very unique drink made with mexican corn whiskey, cocoa nibs, sherry, and a milk punch. I award this drink for most unique I've had in a while, definitely give it a try if you're up for something new. To finish, I had the Cariña - their take on an espresso martini made with reposado tequila. I really liked this espresso martini - it was a great way to finish out the night and I left feeling inspired to make my espresso martinis at home using tequila now! With the little room we had left in our stomachs, we tried the Pato Tinga Memela, which was duck leg (no bone) with beans and onions and cilantro atop a memela. I haven't had memela specifically per se, but consider me a fan. It is basically a mini "cake" of masa that is pan fried to a slight crispiness. An Oaxacan speciality, where else can I find these in Houston!? We also tried the Guacamole y Tostadas. The guacamole was unique in the sense that it was Oaxacan style, so contains pepitas, pickled onions, and queso fresco. The tostadas were super crispy and reminded me of how they serve guacamole in Mexico (rather than with chips/totopos). Fun fact is that this bar is owned by Goode Company. Next door to this is Goode Co. Cantina, so it's nice that they created an adjoining restaurant + speakeasy concept within the same strip. At one point in our visit, Levi Goode was standing next to us. We didn't know until after he left and Marilyn informed us, that that was THE man. Just doing a casual check-in of his bar. We really had a good experience at Bar Buena and look forward to returning. The food menu has quite a few offerings I wanted to try had I not come from a cooking class. We were also told that the seasonal drink menu was set to change shortly after our visit, so I look forward to trying these drinks!

We Ubered over, so I didn't pay attention to the parking situation. Ambiance (3.5/5): Five Central is big! There's a big restaurant, a cigar lounge, a huge patio, and more. While we dined at the restaurant, it seems like there's a ton to check out here. They often will host live music too as I saw some ads about it while I was in the restroom. Service (4.5/5): Our waitress was great. She was friendly, attentive, and she went above and beyond. They brought me the wrong side, and I told her it was okay, but she ended up bringing me the right side a few minutes later. Which meant my meal had three sides instead of the two it came with. I really appreciated that! Drinks (4/5): Five Central has a good list of cocktails and more, but I wasn't in the mood for alcohol, so I went with a Shirley Temple lol. That brought me back. One of my favorite beverages as a kid. They were out of maraschino cherries, but we made it work. Food (4/5): We started off by splitting the coconut curry wings and the parmesan chicken bites. Out of the two appetizers, the chicken bites were my favorite. They were fried just right, crispy, while still tender inside. The sauce smothered on top made the dish. The wings, on the other hand, while flavorful, were a bit small. Still good though. With that being said, the star of the evening was my entree: the fried chicken. Fried chicken is either going to be a hit or a miss... here, it's definitely a hit. Crispy and well-seasoned on the outside, juicy and tender inside. Served with a sweet hot sauce, Texas toast, and your choice of two sides. I went with fries and mashed potatoes. The sides were just as good. The mashed potatoes were a buttery heaven and the fries were crisp and you could tell they weren't frozen. It's a generous portion size, too! I ate half and took the rest to-go. If you're looking for some Southern cooking, with love, Five Central is an awesome spot.
