I called All Comfort Services today and they were able to send Monte A. on the same day. He's the man! All he had to do was be in the house and his aura was enough to bring that dead unit back to life! (Seriously!) He said he just checked the outside unit and it seemed to be blowing hot air indicating it was working. Honestly it wasn't working when I checked it the evening before - my aura must be old & tarnished. Like me. Good thing Monte's isn't. Just the trip charge - worth it. I've made a service appointment to get the oil changed and tires rotated on the furnaces and air conditioning unit and I'm certain whomever they send will bring the aura, too. We are comfortable once again.

I arranged for an inspection through All Comfort Services to determine what could correct the problem. Two electrical technicians, Devon and Caleb, came and inspected the light. They determined that the light sensor was defective and that the fixture needed to be replaced. If we bought new fixtures, All Comfort Services would be happy to install them. Devon and Caleb were personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were happy with their service.

The first time I called them, Stan showed up at 07:50 a.m. for an appointment at 08:00 on a Saturday - but he hung out in his truck and waited until eight on the nose to knock on the door. I had a clog in my sink drain that was too far down for my snake to reach. He measured from the sink and the main, cut out a bit of pipe, cleaned it out, and then installed a T joint with a plug I could take out if I needed. Now, there's no part of the pipe I can't reach with the snake. That was the first of many great interactions. At this point, I tell them what the problem is, and they come fix whatever it is, and I pay them. I trust them so much that I don't need to talk to them before they fix something.

If he had told us that, then we would have greatly reduced our personal chit-chat! Then when I called to have our bill reduced, they said we had to pay the full amount of $260! I do not mind the $100 for the service call and maybe ~ 10 paid minutes it took to say we need a new faucet, but I DO MIND paying 50 minutes X $2.00/minute = $100 for a friendly discussion!! I do not know the quality of their work because they did not do any. I eventually replaced the faucet myself.

I could have rescheduled for Thursday, but I decided to cancel and give someone else a try. Hopefully someone who values their customer's time better.

I was a new customer, called them this morning for a broken…read moregarbage disposal, and before even booking an appointment they tried to help me troubleshoot the issue over the phone so that I wouldn't have a service call charge. They got me in that same day, fixed the disposal and tightened the faucet without me having to ask. A previous plumber had actually come to tighten said faucet previously, but it is a weird/fancy XL industrial style and he said he couldn't do it without a tool from the manufacturer. Kahl plumbing had the right wrench on their truck and fixed it in under a minute. Thank you Kahl Plumbing for the excellent service!

We hired Lichtfeld to do some plumbing work as part of a remodel of a small master bathroom. In all…read morethey had four tasks to complete: 1) install shut-off valves for the bathroom sink, 2) install the shower handle and valve, 3) install shower head and 4) install shower base and attach the drain. When we used the shower after this we found the shower head leaking badly, and the handle would only turn on half way, and not get fully hot. They came back out and tightened the shower head (denting it), and it turned out that they installed the valve backwards. Which should have been a very easy and common install. When we started using the shower again, a few days later we found that water was leaking into our basement. The remodeled bathroom is on the second floor, so the water had leaked from the shower base drain, into our kitchen ceiling to the outer wall where it followed an air vent down to the basement. This was evidenced by paint bubbling at the drywall seams in the kitchen ceiling. We then had Lichtfeld out again, showed them the water in the basement and the kitchen ceiling, then left them to fix the leak. After they finished they said they got another half turn on the drain and added some silicone. They also expressed that what they did should fix the problem. Keeping a close eye on the basement we resumed using the shower, and it hasn't leaked since. Lichtfeld initially said that they would take care of repairing the damage. We had an independent contractor come out who agreed with our assessment, and gave us an estimate for the work. Lichtfeld then sent their own person, who ended up being an old friend of Melanie Lichtfeld, that was apparently sent to discredit us and give us unsolicited legal advice. It turned out that Lichtfeld had since decided that they didn't want to pay anything, so they came back to us saying they didn't think they were responsible for the damage. Needless to say we were disappointed with this lack of integrity and professionalism. We could have understood screwing up three of the four tasks we hired them for, if they would have been accountable for those mistakes, but they ultimately decided that their character had a price limit. We wouldn't recommend Lichtfeld to anyone looking for a plumber. There are plenty of other companies who will likely do a much better job, and know that screwing over your customers just isn't good business. Lastly, besides the work being terrible, their customer service was even worse. In 15 years of home ownership, we have never had such an awful experience with a company.
