I scheduled a gel polish removal. The cost is $10, which is what attracted me here along with it being very close to my house. I had never realized how close this location is to me, so I was excited thinking that I had found my go-to nail salon. Unfortunately, the experience here was disappointing and I will not be returning. When I walked in, I was asked to check in. After check in, a male staff started the gel removal. There was no introduction with his name or anything. He is a bit older and it seemed like he may not be comfortable speaking in English. What I did not like about my trip is that in the middle of working on my nails, he walked up and another woman continued on my nails. Once again, there was no introduction or any consent asked if I was okay with that. Crazy thing is that, even she did not fully finish the job and the man returned to finish them. I have never had this experience, where the tech changes so many times for a simple removal and there is pin drop silence and no conversation between the customer and tech. On the other hand, there was conversation between the two techs in a different language. The worst part of the trip was how they handled my nails. I was left with nails that are extremely rough on the surface. This is completely new for me and I have never had my nails feel so rough after polish removal. read more

Update: day 4 - polish coming off of top edges of toenails, 1 is halfway chipped off, four are pulling up on edge because they were painted onto my skin. Moved to 1 star. Stopped in to get my toes painted to kill some time yesterday. There was no one in the salon at 1p on a Sunday. The guy that painted them was nice enough, and the place was clean. I got Gel polish which was $36, $42 with tip. But they're already lifting on the edges!! My toenails are shaped at angles, not straight across, and he got paint on my toes. They're lifting at the edges and it's only been a little over 24 hours. Picture attached. Will not be back. read more

My nails came out amazing too! Not to mention, the customer service was outstanding. Right before we were going to leave a huge rain storm hit! I hate to give them a bad review because they were so nice! But I don't pay prices that high for them just to be nice :/ I wore flips flops all day and/or stayed inside, so there was no reason for the polish to chip already, but the polish on my toes is already chipped on the first day of having the pedicure (maybe a couple hours later). The massage on my legs and feet was pretty much non-existent. I have paid far less at different nail salons and gotten way longer (and better) leg and foot massages. I was bummed. read more

D2 is THE place to get your nails done in Lewis Center. Their pedicures are so relaxing and everyone is friendly. They even have a drink and snack menu. I took my 84-year-old parents for pedicures and they were extremely accommodating! Mom and Dad were over the moon. read more

This place is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. The employees were rude, my nails are crooked, they didn't get my ingrown toenail out, they have ants EVERYWHERE and there is no air conditioning. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else. read more

D2 is a new nail spa right here in front of my neighborhood, right next door to my dry cleaner (2.29 Cleaners). My sister and I stopped in for gel pedis and manis today and the place is brand new, open, comfortable and there was absolutely no wait. The staff members are incredibly friendly and polite. They gave us pillows to hold on our laps to rest our hands on and to squeeze if we got ticklish. They made us Vietnamese coffee which was delicious! All around, a very relaxing experience and the salon is so clean. The techs took their time working on us and I'm pleased with the work they did. We will definitely be back! read more

Very disappointed in customer service! I tried calling to make an appointment and could not understand a word the woman was saying. So I went online and looked at available time slots. I requested a time and got an automated response that request was sent to the owner. A couple of hours later I got an email that my request had been confirmed. Then the day before my appointment, I got another email that my appointment had been canceled as they did not have time for the service I requested. No suggestion on when they have availability, no way to respond. Not cool to cancel the day before. read more

One of the worst nail salons. My sister, mom, and I went here in search of a salon to call "our place." They rushed us to sit down as soon as we got in the door and we were the only people in the spa. The nail tech shaved my nails down so thin it was painful. My mom and sister had better experiences with their techs. The salon seemed average as far as cleanliness and decor. When I went to a different salon the next time, they commented on how thin my nails were and how improper it was for the tech to have shaved down my nails. We will not be returning. read more

I can't speak for how this place does nails.. because I never got to it. BE AWARE! Appointment means same as walk-inns!! I called 11am to see if they can take me for my balance and gel over. They said they are busy so come over 3 or 3:30 pm. I asked to see they can take my daughter as well for her gel. "Okay " they told me no problem. I leave my name and confirmed my appointment @3:30pm. We were there at 3:30pm and checked in told the lady we have an appointment. She said nothing. We see a lot of ppl waiting however we had an appointment so thinking maybe we need to wait like half hour... 45 min past by... still no one said anything to us. I went to the check in table and saw the appointment sheet. Noticed most of ppl noted as "walk-in". I told the lady how long is the wait? My daughter and I have appointment @3:30pm. And the guy (lady spoke no English) starts talking to us " you are walk ins so another 45 to one hour wait!" At that point I was very upset that fact he did not know we had an appointment. I told him I have an appointment and the lady is talking to the guy (non English language) something.. assuming she is telling him about our appointment. He replay to me again it's gonna be another 45 min to one hour wait!! My daughter and I walked out of the store!! Apparently even if you have an appointment at this place means nothing!!! I'm going to start out saying that I'm in cosmetology school so I am very knowledgeable about this industry and what is expected of it. That being said this is the worst set of acrylic nails I've ever had! I came here today to get my acrylics balance with gel and they are absolutely horrible! When I first arrive at the salon I get there at 3:05 and my appointment isn't till 3:30 but they said they could take me early anyways so it was off to a good start at first. They show me color options and I pick a light pink with a sparkle over top. The lady (her name tag said Lam, she didn't speak much English and probably spoke all of 10 words to me the whole time I was there) beings to file off my previous blue color and when she was done with that there was still the blue remaining on my nails. I don't say anything at this time because I assume she will get it later. I was wrong. She balances my nails with the spots of the pervious color still on it. I needed 2 nails repaired because they had fallen off and she sized my nail for the tip then dropped it on the floor and still put it on my nail! Being in cosmetology school I know this is not okay and violates many health, safety, and sanitation laws but any normal person would know that this is not okay too! When she finally finished I washed my hands and my nails seemed okay. A little uneven and a little thick but I had seen worse. She starts to do my gel polish and the color comes out completely sheer and I asked if the color was going to become more opaque and she did not understand and had to get someone to translate for her. Once what I said was translated she was saying how it was exactly like the sample which it was not because you could see right through it. They tried to argue me about it but eventually gave up and changed the color. Once she drilled off this color she left some of it on again, my nails bumpy, uneven, and painted over it. She left acrylic and gel polish in my cuticle so the nails will lift up easier and probably not stay very well. When I went to check out it was 4:45 meaning I had been there for and hour and forty five minutes!! I also noticed that an employee was asleep in a pedicure chair. How unprofessional!! This was my experience at this nail salon and I will never be returning. I'm left with nails that look uneven, crooked, and unprofessional. I'm very disappointed because being in the industry myself I know what is expected of this service. read more

i went in to get a new set of acrylics with gel and i have never had a worse looking set of nails. first off i asked for a coffin shape nail and they were like ok that's fine cool showed them a picture of what i wanted and she starts doing my nails. i'm sitting there in silence and she says nothing i make conversation and she doesn't respond. she starts gluing on the top without prepping my nails at all. no filing no cuticle removal no nothing and i was like can u please remove my cuticle she said "be patient i do later" and then starts talking gibberish to the other nail artists and i'm just thinking what is she saying about you. then she sat arts filing the tip to the coffin shape and it was very umeven and long and i asked her to make it shorter and she files off a paper thin part and i asked shorter multittimes and she wouldn't do it shorter. and then she starts putting on the acrylic. And you see here I didn't want to say anything about the cuticles because she already was getting annoyed at me but my cuticles weren't normal they were very bad and I didn't wanna say anything because she can't go back and do anything. but then after the acrylic is on she starts filing and i kept saying shorter and she wouldn't make them shorter. she put gel on and finished. it was past closing time when i left and it was $50 . i stare at them when i'm home and they are un even there is acrylic on my skin and a hair in my gel. i have blonde hair and the hair in my nail is black. i'm very mad. i then filed them as much as i could so the picture i'm including is after i tried to fix them. i will not be going back.EDIT: it is day 6 and 3 nails of mine broke off while doing dishes. which shouldn't have cause them to break off but they somehow managed to break. very disappointed read more
