How frustrating! I went to pay after my service. The woman at the counter asked if I was paying with cash or a charge. (At many salons, the cash price is a little lower.) I told her cash. She said it would be $43. I told her that I had a 15% off coupon. She then said it would be $41. Confused by the only $2 discount, I asked her how much the service was. She then said it was $45. Wait... what? Yet, even if I misheard her the first time, I still did not receive my 15% off the new price of $45. I explain how I think I was overcharged. She then said that I was not overcharged because of the added tax. Wait... when did the tax get added? It wasn't there before during the first two price amounts. I don't understand how the longer I talked to her, the more expensive it became - and the more bizarre second add-ons occurred. I got taken advantage of. The staff has always worn masks, even pre-quarantine, so no changes there. I did set up an appointment before coming in, but they were already good about social distancing customers. Gone are the magazines. The staff controls the settings for you on their old massage chairs. They still asked you to select your own nail polish rather than having them pull the bottle off the shelf for you. Use the hand sanitizer on the way out. read more

Please be wary of this salon. I had a dip done and after one week they started to lift. When I had them removed 2 of my nails were green! Chau said that it was the dip color that stained my nails but I found out that it is actually from bacteria! I will not be returning there because obviously they do not use any sterilization or cleaning protocols. I had been going there for years w/o any issues but it seems like there are new owners and employees now so I'm staying far away. read more

Hands down (pun intended), one of the best manicures I've had in Columbus. I was getting an oil change nearby and decided to wander over. I was greeted kindly and immediately upon entering. In addition to the wall of polish colors, I loved that they had the newest OPI collections as well as organic (7 free) options. I had Angie and she was very sweet- for me a great balance of personable but not a constant talker and very thorough not gaps in polish near my cuticles and top coated the tips without leaving lines. This salon has ALWAYS done so well on my nails and the treatment they give. They're always super talkative with me and they make sure you get exactly what you want. I've gone to them for 2/3 years and occasionally I'll switch it up and go to a different salon, but I always come back to this one. I came in today (with out an appointment) and the lady who did my nails (I dont remember her name but she's the manager) I told her I wanted a look that looked natural. I always do longer coffin shape nails but with work, i can't type on a keyboard as well so she did this (pictured) for me and I couldn't be anymore happier!! I get so surprised when I see a negative review from someone because of this place since I have never ever had a terrible experience with them. If I notice something's messed up, I SPEAK UP like you're supposed to do... Do come to creative nails. They're genuine people. They'll fix your nail for free is it's broken. I went to Creative Nails Spa yesterday for the first time, and I must say Tracie gave me the best pedicure I've had since I moved to Columbus. The salon had an upscale feel to it when I walked in -- nice lighting, beautiful decor, and everything was spotless. I was greeted immediately and within a couple of minutes was soaking my feet in a love spa pedicure massager chair. I got the Creative Deluxe pedicure, and it was wonderful. Even better, it was the most reasonably-priced pedicure I've found in town yet, considering how comprehensive it was: mineral soak, foot/leg massage, therapeutic mud wrap with hot towels .... heaven. I received a mani/pedi today and they were done simultaneously. I appreciated that as I didn't have a lot of time and it was about an hour before close when I arrived so obviously they didn't want to be kept late either. Both women did a very nice job and they were friendly. My only criticism is that the gel colors I chose for my nails were not what we shown on the samples. The color I picked matched the name and number on the bottle, but the color in the sample had a much more grayish pink tone while what I received was VERY pink. They look nice, but it wasn't correct. I told both the woman who did my nails and the woman up front that there must be a mix up so they could be prepared in the future. They apologized, but the woman at the front basically tried to say they get a couple of bottles of the color and I guess they aren't always the same or time changes them, but it's not their fault. I've never had that happen before, so I doubt the color changes over time to a completely different hue. I'm not sure that I will return because I'm not sure I will be getting the actual color I select. read more

They even face timed someone while doing the service. When I mentioned that I thought the color would be darker I was told it was my fault for the color I picked. Horrible. Never get your acrylics removed here. They WILL destroy your nails. This was the first time I went here so I can't comment on their other services. The lady filed my nails down so much that the nail can bend completely with slight pressure. It hurt so bad. I just wished that I had the same great experience that other yelpers had. read more

It's a nice salon and the pedicure is genuinely great...but the service leaves something to be desire. They've shared several times that they have availability only to have you come wait (25+ minutes isn't uncommon, despite setting an appointment). Last time I was there, two of the massage chairs were broken - being told that "sometimes they work, sometimes they won't..." The second chair left a kneading massage piece in the middle of my back. What a way to "relax!" If it weren't for a truly excellent pedicure, I'd never be back. read more

Currently experiencing the worst customer service I've ever had. I asked how long the wait for a pedicure was and they told there was none. I picked out my color and starting soaking. My feet have been in the same bowl of water for 1 hour! The water is cold and they keep working on people that came in after me. NEVER GET YOUR BROWS DONE HERE! I've had nails done here and it was fine. Terrible customer service, and the nail tech was kind of rude. But it was cheap and fine enough quality. But...I just had my brows done here and am furious. I waited a full 20 minutes before anyone in the spa even acknowledged that I was there. Then, the woman didn't ask me any questions about preference, just went straight in and slapped wax on my face. She completely changed the shape which I did not want. I have been to Creative Nails Spa 4-5 times now. I have really tried to like this place. The atmosphere is very nice. I love the spa massage chairs. I have had several pedicures and have been happy with the results. As far as the their nail service it is a different story. The first time I had Shelaic applied it looked as if my 4 year old niece had painted my nails. It was thick and all over my fingers. I went to another salon and ad to play to have it removed. I went back at a later date because they are open on Sundays. This time I went in for a balance. The balance looked very nice but my cuticles were red and nearly bleeding. This has actually happened on more than one occasion. They did not seem to care that they kept running the sander over my skin. I went back yet again (silly me) yesterday. I walked in 1 hour and 15 minutes before they closed. I felt like they could not get me out of the door quick enough. Pedicure yet again was wonderful but during my relaxing pedicure this guy comes over and starts doing my balance. I am having to reach over myself so that he can get to my right hand. Yet again my cuticles are red, thumb bleeding. Then I had to ask him to file the edges down, he remarked "I'm making you into Freddie Kruger". The salon is beautiful but service was sub-par! The only thing this place has going for it is it's pedicures and the fact that they are open on Sunday. I will not be returning! I will be returning to Nails by Vien. I went here after going to the zoo because it was the only nail salon that I had seen in the area. Well, i definitely will not go back, nor will I recommend it to anyone else ! It was the first and the only time for me going there! The girl at the front desk had an attitude problem. I don't get my nails done often, so I wasn't sure what I wanted done; she was acting like I was bothering her by my misunderstandings. However, what really bothered me was , after I got my nails done, the area around my nails were bleeding. To be honest, the entire time I was getting my nails done, I was in pain. I should've spoken up, but I didn't want to seem too whiny. Then, when the lady put the chemicals on my fingers, the skin was REALLY hurting and burning. I mean, the experience for my finger nails sucked !! However, the lady who did my toenails was pretty good. I didn't have any pain with my toenails, just my fingernails.
