A week before my appointment they made a follow up call which I really respect and it makes me feel safe, and that this place is not sketchy at all. I have a really bad fear of needles and I told them when they came in the room and the doctors and nurses were super nice and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable. If you are looking for a place to get any extractions or wisdom teeth pulled, I 1000000/10 recommend this place because they are just so nice and respectful. And my insurance covered the surgery.

When you walk in her office you are greeted with a smile from her friendly secretary (who is always on top of her job). Now they refuse to see me, I make appointments to see if they'll right their wrongs but every single time they either send me a text or call to tell me something unexpectedly happened to cancel the appointment. And if anyone cares for proof, I recorded the dentist taking me into the back wrong and offer free dental work in order for me to keep quite. But now they refuse to see me.

American Dental Associates has many office locations. I was sent to this one by my daughters…read moreprimary dentist because she had an abscess on her front tooth and it was determined that she needed a root canal. The primary care office sent the prior authorization which was initially denied by my insurance, stating the primary dentist should do the root canal and not a specialist. The primary dentist does not do root canals and the cycle of prior authorization and appeals continued for about 6 weeks. Within that time frame someone filed a grievance on my behalf for the first denial, which was eventually denied again under the original prior authorization number. After many phone calls to my insurance on my end, the root canal was finally approved and scheduled...then cancelled by the office manager who insisted that they had to follow the grievance letter, and also informed me that my daughters account was flagged due to the many phone calls I made to the insurance. I got on a three way phone call with the insurance and the office manager and I swear it was like two divorced parents bickering back and forth. During this conversation the insurance person stated that it was the office that continued to send prior authorizations incorrectly instead of making an appeal like they we instructed to do by the insurance and that is why the account was flagged. How unprofessional of an office manager to put that on the parent. This office manager continued to cancel my appointment and insisted the insurance send another approval letter with a more current date, but the insurance insisted that the approval letter was in good standing which the office manager was not accepting and basically refused to treat my daughter. Never have I ever gone through such a cluster f**k ...and the whole time my daughter was suffering with this tooth. I had no choice but to take her somewhere else and pay out of pocket, and she didn't need a specialist to it either. I found a general dentist that did an amazing job. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place...they don't care about patients..only money.

My sister thankfully found Dulce Dental and had nothing but good things to say, so on Thursday morning after the dentist who put me through so much distress with not one but three failed crowns, I called Dulce Dental, they got me in on Saturday and I had the most thorough exam ever. And even though I need to see a specialist, I got more answers than I have in the last 5 years. Dr. Melissa's bedside manner is top tier -- she took her time, didn't rush me, didn't minimize my pain, she was kind and empathetic and, most importantly, she was transparent in telling me that my implant needed a surgeon. I was strung along for years at my last dentist and in one appointment, she explained why I was in constant pain and she referred me to someone who can help me. The staff in the front and the back are very kind, professional and very calming. I was in tears walking in and walked out feeling hopeful.
