After the installation, the fridge started making a very loud noise whenever water was dispensed. This issue continued for about 1.5 months. Their team initially blamed the refrigerator and even claimed the noise was coming from the compressor, not from their installation. Eventually, I went to the house myself and checked behind the refrigerator. I discovered that the technician had connected the water source to the wrong inlet and had basically bypassed the refrigerator's solenoid/water inlet valve. He also bundled the main fridge pipe that was supposed to be connected to the water inlet valve and told my tenant that the pipe was useless and not needed. When Elite Rooter sent the original technician, Oscar, back to the house, I showed him the correct connector behind the fridge and asked him if he knew what it was for. He said, "No, I don't know what it is." When I told him that he should know because the job was to connect water to the refrigerator, he said he was "not supposed to know this" because he is "not an appliance technician." That response was very concerning to me, especially after they had already done the job incorrectly. I then called his manager, David Herb, and asked if he could come himself or send someone other than Oscar to fix the issue. He refused and insisted that Oscar should fix it, while also saying Oscar had not made any mistake and that I was wasting his time on the phone. When I asked Oscar to repeat to David what he had just told me inside the house, Oscar denied saying it. After David spoke privately with Oscar on the phone, Oscar left the house without notifying me. I then called David several times, texted him, and sent him a video showing the issue behind the fridge, but he did not respond. I had to call the main Elite Rooter office and explain the whole situation to the operator, asking them to send someone else and to escalate David's behavior to higher management. Only after that did David finally texted me that he was coming himself. I waited again, and when he arrived, he checked the fridge and admitted that Oscar had made a mistake in installing the pipes. David fixed the issue himself and apologized. Although the issue was finally corrected, the whole experience was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and time-consuming. It took about 1.5 months from the original installation until they finally fixed their mistake. I had to personally diagnose the problem, wait at the house for hours, deal with a technician who denied responsibility, and deal with a manager who was dismissive and unresponsive until I escalated the issue. I do not recommend anyone work with this company.

Elite said if they decide to fix it, they'll match any quote. Well, the seller agreed they had to fix it and got a decent quote from someone they knew. I trusted Elite to do a better job so asked if they would have Elite do it. They got permits and finished on schedule. I got to see the new sewer line. They went beyond what was asked to make sure me and my spouse were taken care of. The sellers sewer guy was gonna offer me 1-5 years on the warranty. Elite gave us a 25 year warranty! Sonny and Manny were always professional. Some other great things: - They sent me an email EVERYTIME someone was headed over to perform work. This was a 3 day job so I always knew when they were coming. - The staff over the phone was very courteous. - The manager (Manny) was their on more than one occasion to supervise the work. - I received pictures with my invoice chronicling their work. Very detailed. I hope I don't have to call them about the sewer, but I will definitely be calling them again if I need anything else.

Charging 10-20% more for a job is one thing, but coming up with non existent issues and trying to scam for 10-20X of off what should have been is a different thing. They also use your personal situation and probably assess how vulnerable you are to fall for the scam. For example, we are new parents and were both burnt out when they first came in. Maybe it was obvious looking at our faces that we didn't have time to do any research. Read the full review to get a better idea. We contacted them for a drain clearing issue seeing their 59$ add online. They charged me 99$ on phone saying that covers the drain cleaning plus 15% of any new issues. Being just 40$ more it made sense to take the membership. Omar Mendoza arrived, very patiently heard about what happened, went to garage and inspected everything, checked under the sink and said the piping needs to be replaced coz they might break if he opens them (turns out this wasn't true btw), he quoted 722$ and I agreed coz I need to get this done asap, and since he showed me some corrosion around the pipes I believe him. He spent 3 hours snaking the drain and said the sink is heavily clogged and needs hydrojetting for which he quotes 7400$. So by that night we spent 722$ + 99$ + the sink didn't clear + we have a new air gap issue that they caused (ie they removed the air gap and didn't replace it properly). Next day I kept calling them through out the day, I called 6-8 times in total each time waiting for 30+ minutes on hold, David Sanchez finally showed up and apologized for not clearing the drain and said he could get us a discount and have the hydrojetting done for $2900. We were pissed by that time and rejected it and asked for a refund. They did finally give a refund, but that involved constantly calling them again for a whole week. Just for comparison, another plumber cleared the sink for $400 (emergency plumbing) and inspected and said we didn't need hydrojetting. We also had to get the air gap issue fixed which didn't exist in the first place and that costed us 120$. /The plumbers that were involved, OMAR MENDOZA and DAVID SANCHEZ, and the facility manager ALEX MARTINEZ are all big time SCAMMERS. The reason I am saying this is, I read very old reviews on here, looks like they are very knowledgeable, but they didn't have the right morals to do their job as promised. Also, when they are at your place, they put in several hours and pretend like they tried their best and things didn't work, and finally come up with a more expensive plan. When I say "they pretend like they are trying to do their best", they really do put on a whole show and since we are not the experts, we believe that really did try. They also spend a lot of time explaining the internals of piping and stuff even before starting the job.
